I initially went to Bellaluxe to get lashes for my wedding and, 8 years later, I'm still going there for lashes. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! Not only do I walk away each time with AMAZING lashes, but the stylists are all extremely professional and friendly. I am constantly complimented on my lashes and when I tell people they're extensions, they're amazed because they look so good! They're dramatic, but soft and natural.... I can't get enough of them! I have been going to this wonderful salon for several months now and have had the pleasure to see Heather who consistently gives me stunning beautiful lashes. This is no easy task as my own lashes are short and grow downwards. She is an extremely talented professional who is also an aesthetician. Bonus! She always gives me amazing beauty tips and suggestions. I have had this service performed at other salons, but after having Heather apply lashes, I realized what I was missing...the lashes are perfect and she knows what she is doing. For anyone considering new lashes, you could certainly obtain this service at other cheap salons like the one I saw mentioned by an alleged salon "owner" in a review, but if she really is a salon "owner" there is likely a reason she initially referred her "clients" to Kristen's salon...My question is why did she send "clients" to Kristen in the first place?? And why couldn't she have one of her own technicians apply lashes on her?? The answer, her salon just couldn't cut it, and Kristen's salon is top notch!! Something to keep in mind, the Belleluxe salon ONLY does lashes. This is their only focus, and because of that the technicians are all very talented and the results are amazing. I have been a loyal customer of BellaLuxe Lashes for over 10 years. Received lashes from the original owner, Mitzi, at her home lash boutique. I've loved my lashes and have referred new customers, while patronizing this Company every 3-4 weeks. For context, I'll need to provide alittle background. The turnover rate of BellaLuxe Lash technicians are relatively high. In the last 10 years, I've had atleast 10 different Lash girls. 50% of them were really great but since have left BellaLuxe to open their own Lash salons. I didn't follow them bc of my loyalty to BellaLuxe. Two-three years ago, BellaLuxe was sold to Kirsten, under new Management and new location. In my opinion, this is when things started to go down hill. Even-still, I hung in there because I loved Aleesha and her expertise with doing my lashes. Unfortunately, Aleesha quit too. So I made an appointment with the person who I thought was the "best"...Kirsten. Surprisingly, Things took a hard left after my last visit with Kirsten. She had done my lashes for back to back appointments. However I was not completely pleased with her technique. When I expressed my concern about my lashes, she seemed to be apologetic and said she used the same lashes as before. The next day when I reached out to ask kirsten if I could try another lash technician, she flat out texted me... "The other stylists are fully booked and have already absorbed the clients of Aleesha's they are able to take. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accommodate your needs and I have gone ahead and cancelled your future appointments." I am still in shock. For a business to tell a loyal customer, In so many words, we can not accommodate you anymore, is a slap in the face. Either BellaLuxe has too much money and is turning down clients, can not accept new or accommodate loyal customers, challenges providing professional and excellent customer service or of the above. There are tons of lash boutiques in the Dc metro area who can do better lashes, are more professional, and who would appreciate loyal paying customers. read more

First of all, I'd like to share how amazing this establishment is. I am a loyal 5 year customer. These ladies know lashes like none other. To say that being a wearer of lash extensions for 5 years straight (with no impact on the health/growth of my natural lashes) is a rarity is an understatement. It speaks to the quality of not only the stylists, but of their skill and product used. These lash wizards analyze your lash growth/health at every appointment, as each person is unique. They take into account the fact that we all have periods of lash: 1) shedding (like when the hair on your head sheds), 2) hypergrowth (they always remove extensions the second there is even a slight sign of growth that could impact the sustainability of the end result...these girls want your lash game on point for as long as possible!), and 3) lulls in growth (when they notice this, they usually ask questions about stress levels, changes in diet, etc, and best assess lash placement strategy). The environment is amazing and fun. The BellaLuxe ladies are a dream - I look forward to my appointments to see all of them and catch up. Their dynamic is like none other! They are a lash family and treat their customers the same, to where we consider each other family as well. We all rejoice in hearing each other's tales of finding love, provide advice for those talking about a tough time at work, and rally behind those that share a tale of lost love or wrongdoing. I have never experienced or seen anything like it until BellaLuxe. That, more than anything, speaks to the quality of employees, service, and business. I guarantee you will not find that ANYWHERE else. The purpose of this review is to address a false review I stumbled upon this eve alleging that her treatment was due to the color of her skin. I know these ladies...have known most of them for 2+ years. I know about their kids, husbands, boyfriends, sisters, mothers, fathers, brothers, and pets. I know their favorite colors, perfumes, designers, makeup, and more. That is all to say that I can speak to their character and integrity...not only as professionals but as individuals. There has never been nor ever will be racism at BellaLuxe. I am a biracial customer. Anyone and everyone is welcome at BellaLuxe irrespective of: race, gender, religion, sexual preference, socioeconomic status, or disability. To think or say otherwise is slanderous and shows ignorance on the reviewer's behalf. Pulling the race card when an expert lash stylist gives you honest feedback re: the state of your lashes vs. length of time needed to fix said state is like telling a doctor their analysis of your x-ray results is incorrect: "that crack in the ulna is not a break - it's just a sprain, doctor...I swear!" If a stylist is booked solid, it is not fair to take 2-3 hours of a stylist's time for a full set when you originally booked a relash (a 1.5 hour appt). Are those after you supposed to just sit and wait? 4 weeks is WAY too long to wait for a "relash" unless you and your stylist know your lash retention supports that. A first time customer also usually wouldn't be considered a subject matter expert compared to an experienced, expert stylist - so if she says you need a full set...you need a full set. Prices are on point for the area - this is a quality studio, not a lash butcher shop. The statement about prices being astronomical is completely false and contradictory to the comment about it being difficult to obtain an appointment. If the sentiment regarding pricing was widely reciprocated, wouldn't it be easier to book an appointment? Logic sometimes reigns supreme. It is sometimes more difficult to get an appt at BellaLuxe at times, compared to your local lash chop shop down the street (which also probably serves as a nail salon, tanning salon, or even a hair salon) as a result of their popularity due to their quality work/customer retention. The ladies will go above and beyond so you don't go lash-less or feel anything less than beautifully confident and lashified. They have accommodated my schedule at its craziest (bizarre dates/times, lashmergencies, etc). This studio is the "go to" for high profile execs, tv personalities, pageant contestants, local models, and more! So please...let's keep the reviews real, clean, and slander free. I had the pleasure of meeting Morgan in my hairdresser's chair a few years ago when she came to see me for her hair. We clicked instantly and the rest is history. About 6 months ago, she started doing my lashes and literally CHANGED MY LIFE. Morgan has the creative eye to transform your lashes unlike anything you thought could be possible. To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement, but these lashes have transformed my life. She can create the perfect shape to compliment your natural eye shape. I'm half Korean so my eyes are smaller and more almond shape. Morgan created the most beautiful cat-eye shape (my favorite) to compliment my shape and lift my outer corners so my eyes look bigger. I have a confession - I am a lash extension addict and BellaLuxe is responsible for my addiction. This is the absolute best place to go for lashes. I tried a few other cheaper places before going to BellaLuxe but my natural lashes were being damaged. Those days are gone - once I found BellaLuxe I said buh bye to those other posers and have been in lash heaven ever since. After I get extensions, I don't need any eye makeup. I have been going to Bellaluxe since my wedding in 2009. This is the only place I would recommend to get your lashes done. And I always say, you get what you pay for. I am always getting compliments about my lashes, and half the time, people don't realize they are extensions (I usually admit it- to women anyway!) I really like how the staff is honest about the condition of your natural lashes and will tell you when to take a break. I myself haven't had to take a break because thankfully my naturally lashes are very healthy, but I have heard them advise clients to rest their lashes and I think that show their expertise and the sense that they aren't in this business just to make money. In addition, it's a wonderful environment- whether you like to chat to pass the time, or catch up on some zzzzs. I for one enjoy the conversation with other stylists as well as other customers, it's a little community. We've exchanged child care tips, relationship advice, and overall- I always look forward to my appointment. Not to mention- the lashes are great quality, they have tons of different options, and they last a long time- even through my crazy workouts where I sweat a ton. If I could give this place a 0 minus, I would. First off the only way you can get an appointment is by signing up using a list on their site. Second, the services are not clearly defined (i.e. prices, time alloted for each service, prices ($200+ for a full set), etc.) Third, getting an appointment takes too much time. It took me three weeks. Fourth, the technician who met me was arrogant as if I worked for her. Lastly, the prices are astronomical. Overall, Bad service, bad quality. After driving all the way from outside of Baltimore (2 hours), the technician told me that I needed a full set (even though just had a refill a month prior and still had on extensions). Upon seeing me come through the door she quickly said she didn't have the time even though I was early. She told me to find another shop and disgarded me as if I was a nuisance. She told me to go to a shop in DC and referred me with no name or number but rather told me to look it up in the phone book. I couldn't help but wonder if racism had a part to play. (I'm Black. The technician was White). Nevertheless, I left there disappointed but mostly pissed. I called a shop a few minutes away with equitable value which seemed happy to accommodate. This was my first time trying out eyelash extensions and I did not know what to expect. I saw that Bella Luxe has been around a long time in the area and that they only specialize to do lash extensions - that sold me right away. They are highly trained in this very specific skill, especially when it comes to something so close to your eyes, that was very important to me. The salon is beautiful white space and feels like you've escaped to an oasis! Every time I go I nearly fall asleep during the process and wake up to the most beautiful looking lashes. I found BellaLuxe online featured in an article about the best places in the DC region for lashes. I had mine done 6 days prior at another salon and a good portion had fallen out, plus they were twisting and for some reason they were all the same length. I saw Georgia and explained to her my issues and right away she had recommendations and ideas. I felt she was very thorough with her consultation. She removed some of the bad ones and used a mix of colors and thicknesses for a very natural set. I LOVE them!! I am a day into the new set and it does already seem they are holding up much better. I could feel the other set and with these I am not even aware of them until I look in the mirror and see the gorgeous natural extensions she did. I searched around and found BellaLuxe online with great reviews. After experiencing the studio myself I can also say that they are the BEST around! I was hesitant to go to just any salon because I have heard horror stories from other people who go to eyelash bars. My first appointment was awesome! I am naturally a redhead with red lashes and was unsure how everything would turn out. They recommended I work with Heather since she also has lighter lashes herself. Heather asked me to show her how I liked to do my make-up and created a wonderful look for my style. I have been hooked ever since! Every time I go back I want to try something different!
