I went to this clinic ONCE in 2017 and did ONE laser session. The tech was so inexperienced, she had the machine on the lowest setting to the point where I couldn't even feel the treatment. Needless to say, it had zero effect. Never went back. That was my fault for being cheap and getting a laser package off Groupon, but my one star review is because of what followed. For the past FIVE YEARS I've continued to get nonstop emails and texts from these people advertising their bogus treatments. I've lost count of how many times I've unsubscribed over the years, but they keep contacting me. Y'all I DON'T EVEN LIVE IN MN ANYMORE. The staff was young, but very friendly and kind. The hours are tough to get an appt if you work late, 6:30pm was that latest appt. time I could get. I too first started going to this clinic from a Groupon I had bought. At the time, two years ago, it was difficult to get my first appointment setup because their laser was broken. It took about 2 months to finally get in there. When I finally got into the clinic, and was literally moments from finally getting my first laser hair removal, I was asked if I had been on any medications in the past 2 weeks. When I said that I had, my appointment was suddenly over. I was not happy about this at all, and really the clinic should mention such things when the appointment is scheduled. My appointment was then postponed for another week. But after my initial issues of schedules and past medications, I have never had a negative thing to say or express since. I am always greeted the moment I want into the door with a friendly, happy, smiling face. Cordial small-talk is quite customary. In the rare times I have had to wait for somebody, it has never been more than 5 minutes. I have recommend this place to several people who have asked why I no longer look like a gorilla on my back and traps. Once my Groupon visits were coming to an end, I was offered a great deal on an unlimited treatment package, which also covered my shoulders. It was a great offer that I accepted. Note: I have read other complaints from people stating that the laser wasn't turned high enough. I asked about this, because my laser was turned up as high as it could go, so I got the most bang for my buck out of my Groupon. At the end of the session, my back looked like I was a burn victim... and the procedure feels like a dozen bees stings, every single square inch they move around. I asked to have the laser turned down. Removing all the hair will take a little longer now, but I am no longer mentally traumatized by the experience. read more

I have been to Angelic Skin Clinic four times. The staff is young and perfunctory at best. You are in a service industry, ladies! You either get it or you don't- basically it is an honor to blow your clients away with how great you are! It can be very satisfying if you fully engage in the transaction and if you care. The staff just don't seem very proud to be there or engaged. The move slow, barely smile and hardly give you eye contact. Obnoxious-perky is not necessary, but at least act vaguely interested in your clients. They pay your bills. Fake it if you have to. I have had many treatments and I still have lots of hair, now in stripes. Although it has softened, I really expected better results by now. I find it disconcerting to read in another review of Angelic Skin Clinic on Google that a client was told by a tech that they TURN DOWN THEIR LASERS. The last appointment I had I mentioned that I was not happy with the results and she told me that she would "turn up the setting on the laser." Oh thanks. Why wouldn't you do that in the first place and turn it down if I was uncomfortable? Apparently we are not going for maximum results for clients. It's pretty telling, really. ...And then the scheduling. Coming in on a Saturday is a real crap shoot. I have had 4 appointments and they have cancelled two of them on the same day after being booked many weeks in advance, with a "that's the way it goes!" attitude. No accountability, non-apologetic. It's all about managing your staff and making the values of the business clear. I value my weekend time- but they don't. That doesn't fly with me. Worst service.. The one star is even to much for them! Went there for 6 facial hair removal sessions, had a different employee help me every time. None of them targeted the right areas in fact the hair I was planning on removing has gotten thicker from them shaving it off first with a razor, every one of them spend no more than two minutes; as if they just wanted me out right away. I have been going here for 4 months now and can only vouch for the laser hair removal treatment. I had been going somewhere else for the past 6 months and hadn't seen any progress other than money down the drain. I wasn't going to try any other places, but on a whim I decided to try Angelic Skin Clinic solely based on their hours and their location. What a great surprise it has been. They have always been very polite and got me a great deal on the treatment package I am currently doing. Very understanding about what happened at the last place and have assured me that they will be able to get me better results. I have had 2 treatments so far there and am already surprised with the results I have gotten in 2 treatments that I couldn't get in 6. I don't know if they still have this deal, but it is pretty awesome (pay for 6 treatments on any area and get treatments on that area for free for the next year). I am reading these other reviews and see that most are from over a year ago... So I'm going to write a review about my customer experience with this clinic. I purchased the six laser hair removal sessions in August of 2014 but ended up having a lot going on and had forgotten I purchased it. I called to setup an appointment a few times and they did return my call within 24 hours as promised but I kept forgetting to call them back to actually schedule (work cell phone, I get lots an lots of voicemails). I noticed my Groupon was expiring as of 11/30/2014 and that my first session would need to be booked by than. I panicked an called on 11/12.. I was so bummed that they didn't have an opening until 12/18 but the lady I spoke with was very courteous and said they would honor it anyways and I booked the 18th. Today I stopped in and was helped by Danielle. I had no idea what to expect and felt very nervous and awkward; however, Danielle was talking away and soon enough the hole first session was completed! I appreciated how kind she was and I felt very comfortable. I am a very self-conscious person and I get anxiety when I'm uncomfortable. I really hope to have Danielle again for the rest of my sessions! I also purchase 6 additional sessions during my visit today because I was personally very pleased. I have 0 complaints about the service provided by Danielle today on behalf of the Angelic Skin Clinic. I think anyone who previously visited this clinic over a year ago and prior should give this clinic another shot. I'm in the service industry myself as a manager (completely different industry) and there is no way the same people work there that everyone is complaining about in the August 2013 reviews an prior. The only suggestions I have for the clinic/staff are: *If a new client calls to set up an appointment, please do not assume we know what is expected prior to our visit. (Ex: no tanning for 1 week prior, freshly shaved legs, etc.) If I had not asked I would have kept tanning an probably skipped shaving my legs this morning in the shower. *As a new client who has never had laser hair removal, I wasn't told what (if any) post treatment guidelines I had to follow such as no tanning, etc. OVERALL VERY HAPPY WITH MY FIRST EXPERIENCE AND I TRULY OWE THIS TO DANIELLE! After some hesitation based upon reviews I had read, I purchased a 90-minute massage groupon for my wife. As you can see by the reviews, most comments are directed at other services such as the skin care, laser hair removal, etc. Thinking it would be difficult to "screw up" a massage, I purchased the deal, and my wife scheduled the appointment for a 90 minute massage a week later. We have a salon and spa closer to our home in Maple Grove, but thought we'd give Angelic an opportunity. When she arrived for her massage, the women at the front counter had to pull themselves away from facebook in order to greet her. While waiting, she had the delight of listening to the same employees complaining about a handful of their facebook "friends" and how they disliked them (how professional). Eventually, those employees began to grumble about how they didn't have certain supplies they needed because their supervisors hadn't ordered them. The entire tirade was within feet of my wife, which made for a very awkward and slightly uncomfortable experience. To make matters worse, the woman that was going to give my wife the massage told her that whoever entered the appointment in the system did so incorrectly as a 60 minute massage. She offered to re-schedule, or split the 90 minutes into a few separate massages - but there was "no way a 90 minute massage would work today". Not willing to subject herself to any further hassle or frustration, my wife elected to politely decline, and leave. I'll clearly list my issues, as it seems the manager generally scrambles to respond. 1. Your groupon was for a 90 minute massage, and had to be announced when scheduling the appointment (which we did). Groupon generally drives customer traffic, which should be anticipated by business owners/managers. 2. My general rule for the employees that staff my organizations' front desk is simple: Anticipate people coming through the front door, and be sure you have your eyes on them before they have their eyes on you. Smile, and politely greet them no matter what you are doing. 3. When your employees gossip and discuss how much they loathe certain "friends" in front of paying customers, what kind of impression do you think that leaves? 4.Your narrative welcoming customers and detailing your services on yelp states that you offer services "in a relaxing, confidential atmosphere". I sincerely doubt that your employees keep their opinions of your customers "confidential" based upon the behavior my wife witnessed. Furthermore, her visit was in no way "comfortable". Beyond that, you weren't able to deliver what your customer had paid for. Overall, I can't say we'd ever conduct business with Angelic Skin Clinic again. We always give any business every opportunity on a first visit to have us as repeat customers. While I can't comment on any of their other services, it seems as though poor customer service is a glaring common theme with this company. We have taken our business elsewhere and established an ongoing customer relationship with the salon and spa closer to our home. read more

*Update* I had written a review a few months back about the initial bad experience i had while at Angelic. I was contacted by the manager Kacee recently and she asked me to come back in so they could resolve the issue i had. I went in last night and had a very different experience, everyone was friendly and on time. I had a 1 Hr Massage and they also offered to redo my Botox. I am kind of nervous having a massage at a place i am not familiar with, i have a Spa near my house i usually go to. Honestly it was one of the best massages i have had, the therapist was very gentle (tense neck/shoulders) and usually the therapists kind of wrench on you. She honestly was worth the drive back anytime and the clinic is about 40 minutes from my house! When i went in for the Botox the Nurse also apologized and took the time to explain everything she was doing and what to expect, i felt a lot more comfortable since she was able to do that. All and all my opinion was completely changed by this follow up experience; i would definitely go back there now again. I am glad the mgmt took the time to read the review and remedy the situation. After my second experience i cannot say enough good things! My only guess would be that possibly they were overwhelmed by the amount of traffic from the Gropuon activity at my previous appointment and maybe were not prepared. The laser does work and the areas that were touched had the original hair fall out and it is now growing back patchy (I do understand how it works). The laser DOES NOT touch all of your skin unless the technician does a thorough job and in this case, that didn't happen. In fact, at most places they will go over the area twice just to make sure nobody gets results like mine. Maybe some staff need to be specifically trained to do a Brazilian and the more timid should stay away. My waxer (that I stopped going to approximately 4 months earlier just to get the best laser results) would never let me leave with even a hair and my laser technician missed A LOT. I knew she was missing it at the time too but there was really no good way to say it as I was laying half naked on a table. I'll keep going to my sessions and hoping for the best but either way, I will post the TRUTH right here. read more

Barbaric skin clinic. Came in today for a laser hair removal, prior to procedure Medical Assistant shaved my back with a cheap razor causing bleeding and razor burn. Left the appointment today bleeding through my undershirt and to my custom made oxford shirt. Currently in pain and having trouble sitting down. Will continue cleaning to avoid an infection. I love this place! I have been to several other skin clinics and have spent a fortune on things like hair removal, photo facials, vein removal....Some have been $600 for one treatment and show zero results! Angelic Skin Clinic has done wonders for my skin at a VERY reasonable price. I, too, started with the Groupon, but I have been going back regularly since. I am a 62-year-old woman and I will say that I have the skin of a 40-year-old...and others say that, too! The staff there are very accommodating, informative and professional. I left Angelic this afternoon with no plans to finish out my Groupon services that I bought. I bought six laser sessions for two areas of my body. An agreement was reached on the first visit as to what areas would be treated. I received four of those treatments with 6 to 8 weeks between them, on the agreed upon areas. The services were adequate, but I did notice that the place seemed to be run by high schoolers who have better things to do than run a personal services business. Customer service was minimal, and twice I got some poorly-disguised lip from two of them. On my fifth visit (after our original agreement, and four sessions, mind you) I was told that the second area should never have been approved, and she was not going to complete it. I questioned her why she is withholding this service now, after four treatments and received no good answer. The laser was already on, it would have taken four more passes to complete it. She would not do it. I finally said fine..I'm done. She stormed from the room without without cleaning the gel from my legs. Not only will I never return to this clinic for my last Groupon treatment, I will never go there again. read more

Like others who have written reviews, I find the staff to be glib and dismissive. Even if I just worked there and were not an owner, I would have some pride, but not so with the girls who work here. I bought a Groupon to have an area lasered, and my experience has been that the girls don't care to impress anyone with their thoroughness. They're just getting through it. If you point out one hair, they'll tell you that it wll be extra, just as another reviewer said about buying the deal for his arms and the staff informing him that the hands and fingers would be extra. Who needs to be nickled and dimed like this? I own a business, and I constantly court my customers such that everyone considers himself a CURRENT customer even if it has been years since the last service. This business must not want referrals. It started out good but then they started using a machine that has a stronger zap that their previous one, but that's okay because it zaps the hair follicles better. My wife found a good deal with Group-on. Both my son and I signed up. At first we were not seeing much as far as results. Sure the hair was getting lighter ... but not really going away. After we had some long discussions with the staff, they decided to shorten the time between appointments. That worked. However, the deal with Group-on ran out, and the hair wasn't completely gone. Of course they were happy to sell us more treatments. Now, the hair appears to be gone, but I cannot help but thinking I was taken at first. Just like the other reviews about not turning up the laser and not getting the best results. Did they purposely schedule the appointments further apart knowing the results would not be a clear back after 12 appointments? If you use this clinic for hair removal ... Make sure they set the laser as high as you can stand it. And schedule the appointments as close together as they'll let you. (At the end, both my son and I were coming in every 4 weeks.) read more

My experience with Angelic Skin Care of Maple Grove is very similar to that of the other reviews....challenge in making appointments as the phone wasn't answered or if a message was left no return call was received. And sometimes they promised that Kacee, the manager, would call back but that didn't happen. I was very specific why I was there as I wanted to have the area around my chin tightened. My first treatmentleft me bruised and red. I was to embrassed to leave the house for five days. When I went back for my next treatment the staff person told me that I was given the wrong treatment. I was switched to a laster treatment. I was given a complimentary treatment to make up for the incorrect treatment. After my first series of treatments were completed with no results, I was told that another series of treatments would be required to get results. Well after all those treatments and several thousand dollars I still don't have a smooth chin area. I was so dissatisfied that I called and spoke with a staff person about my dissatisfaction. She said there was nothing that she could do but did understand why I was upset. She said she would have Kacee call me. It has been TWO weeks and NO call from Kacee. I agree with one other review that the doctor who oversees this clinic can''t know what is happening in this clinic. It he does, he should be embarrased the way clients are treated especially with the money involved in the treatments. If they can't handle the traffic caused with selling through Groupon, then they shouldn't use Groupon as a way of promoting their clinic. read more

I bought a groupon deal for six laser treatments for hair removal. I elected to do my legs. I started this process in December of 2011. I have yet to complete my six sessions. You have to wait a minimum of 8 weeks between appointments, which is fine, but getting an appointment that works in a busy schedule is almost impossible. Saturdays go quickly and the latest appointment they offer is 6:30 pm during the week. I will just break down my issues with this clinic below: 1. Staff is young and seemingly uneducated and unprofessional. 2. Appointments are hard or impossible to get. 3. Management gives excuses instead of solutions. 4. Twice I have appointments scheduled that were unable to go forward due to their miscommunication of the facts. 5. They often throw up the contract that you sign in your face, yet admit they do not give you a copy of said contract to even refer back to it. 6. If there is an adult on site that is older than 22 I have yet to see them. 7. Staff gossips. 8. Often calls go unaswered or unreturned. I am amazed this place can still operate successfully. There are other issues but those are the main ones. If I did not have a paid for service that I wanted to complete I would not return. I still get very anxious at every visit fearing they are going to burn me on purpose or just out of lack of knowledge of their product. The pros: 1. After two sessions hair was finer and grew much slower. A couple areas are bare. 2. The facility is clean and looks well maintained. 3. The equipment looks like it is relatively new or kept in good shape. read more

Strongly believe lasers are set to ensure more packages are purchased. I had laser hair removal at another upscale Edina clinic prior to Angelic and had so, so results. After going to this clinic, I could not believe the prices and the results, they were amazing! I immediately had hair loss in my underarms and on my upper thighs. I checked and they have the most current/up to date laser equipment. Do not waste your money here the staff will say and do anything to get you to pay as much as possible. When me and my sister went in we were both unsure with what we wanted to do since my sister goes to university in London and I live outside the twin cities we explained our situation and told heather we were unsure if we wanted to do laser as it might not be worth it since we wouldn't be able to consistently get it she recommended the life time package and told us since it was a 1 day sale we should sign up for it right now and that if we changed our mind we could cancel it and get a refund. No less than 24 hours later I had decided against doing laser and called to cancel my package only to be told there were absolutely no refunds after explaining that that's not what heather told us I was told to speak to the owner who it took 1 month to give me a call back even though I called 3-4 times a week asking for her. After explaining to the owner what had happened and how I really do not want laser and how I would never benefit from the treatments the only things she could tell me was I'm not giving you a refund because obviously you do want laser! I have never dealt with such rude, money hungry people that are looking to make a quick buck off anyone they can! I had my husband and son come in for laser hair removal and it was a total waste of money. I used Groupons for this, and at first, they had not turned up the machine high enough on my son. Because of this they kept telling us that it will take more appointments and they kept giving us excuses why it wasn't working immediately. But they kept convincing me that just give it time and it will work for sure. After all is said and done, I spent well over $2,500 for them to have hair removal on their chest, shoulders and back. They ended up having over 24 treatments each and it seemed like it was working a little bit at first. The hair was a little bit lighter and I was hopeful. But the hair totally never disappeared after 24 times and less than a month later, it looks like they never had any treatments. The hair is growing back everywhere and I am so frustrated. What a waste of money. Plus they traveled over 20 miles for each session one way, so money spent on gas was expensive as well when you add up all the times they went there. And to top it off, they even bribed my son and husband that if they write a positive review on their website, then they will get one free treatment. So how bad is that??? They bribe you for a free treatment! No wonder their own web site pretty much has all great reviews. Look at all the other web sites and the reviews are horrible! I had a full-body massage at Angelic Skin Clinic yesterday and had a great experience. After browsing through some magazines in the waiting area, I was called back to a peaceful massage room -- right on time! My masseuse reviewed my health/medical history and asked for my preferences (light versus deep, painful areas, etc.). She did a great job of individualizing my massage to suit my needs and checked in periodically to make sure the massage was to my liking. It was a great combination of relaxation and therapeutic massage, working out those sore "kinks" and tender spots (just a little grimacing -- "hurts so good!"). I would recommend Angelic Skin Clinic, especially for those who are looking for a deeper, therapeutic massage. read more

I went to Angelic Skin to get some laser hair removal. I have done it 3 times before at another place and I was blown away by the thoroughness of the session I had at Angelic Skin. They went further than the other place for the same price and even offer unlimited laser hair removal treatments after you purchase 6. Not only was the service great, but the staff were very friendly and not pushy about buying lots of products or additional services like other places I have been to. I do not recommend buying a Groupon for Angelic skincare. It is very hard to get someone in person to talk to on the phone. Once you get there, your Groupon will cover only a very limited area. For every extra small area surrounding the area that you bought the Groupon for, they will charge you an extra fifty to hundred dollars. Customer service is not very personable or friendly either. Went there for facial hair removal sessions, had a different employee help me every time. None of them targeted the right areas in fact the hair I was planning on removing has gotten thicker from them shaving it off first with a razor, I am afraid they are just turning it down so you buy more, and spend more money before it finely works and your hair stays away, how can they keep a place like this in business someone has to do something about this, I am not seeing any results, and most definitely won't recommend anyone to go there. read more
