These guys moved due to construction at the mall. Their storefront will be relocated to the first floor. In the meantime, you can find their kiosk on the second floor nearby the food court. So as of right now, you'll receive a chair massage. There was a client who stopped by to get their feet massaged. I stopped by on a late Monday afternoon for an unplanned/spur-of-the-moment massage therapy session. I have a big exam on Tuesday so I need something now. Their employees greeted me as I approached. There were three staff members. Each were working on a client. They offered me a chair. I waited for 15-minutes. When it was my turn, I did the 30-minutes package for $42 + deep tissue for $10 extra. It was a good 30-minutes as my therapist rang out my tight neck, shoulder, and upper back muscles. He also worked on my mid and lower back, as well as my arms. As any normal massage session, I was sleepy afterwards. The next day, my body was sore, a delayed onset of muscle soreness, which is a normal a physical response to the inflammation as the body heals. I was fine later. I'll be back when they reopen their storefront. I see they offer cupping for a reasonable price. read more

During my hour session, the woman doing the massage talked loudly the entire time to four different of her co-employees. No sense of silence. The lighting in the rooms is flourescent hell-- and they were rude. Simple. Massage okay--nothing stunning. Increasingly, they are very deceptive about pricing and will upcharge you without telling you. My daughter had a 20-minute massage, which was supposed to be $30 total. A second massage therapist joined and said if she wanted a leg massage, they needed 2 people without telling her this was an additional $30. So the $30 massage wound up being $60, which we would've never agreed to. When I spoke to the manager LouLou, she denied that they did this and said employees are always trained to ask the customer before anything involving an upcharge. I know from personal experience this isn't true as my husband and I both got upchaged $10 for a hot stone earlier this year without being told there was an extra fee. I have referred many of my friends to this place but will NEVER be going back. I am especially disappointed that the manager refused to acknowledge they had done anything wrong. What horrible customer service! I have left feeling ripped off with a very bad taste about this place. I am also filing a complaint with Ridgedale and the BBB. This was just plain WRONG. In hindsight, I should've refused to pay but I didn't want this to negatively affect the people who work there. read more

Since it was 520pm on a weekday, I assumed it would be busy. I was told an hour wait. No biggie. I went to one of the shiatsu chairs in the mall and paid $10 for half an hour. Less than 10 minutes in, I get a call saying they are ready for my foot massage. $10 wasted. My massage was painful. The focus was on my arches and she had longer nails I could feel under the gloves. The therapy isn't for the faint of heart, they get deep (and often it can be a good kind of painful) but if you are in pain or immobile- It is a GOD SEND! First of all, prepare to lower your expectations appropriately. This is a place (they have a kiosk and perm space) at the MALL. Nothing fancy, just super impulsive. That being said, New Dragon is pretty good for what it's worth! I walked-in for a shoulder/neck massage and they took me in immediately. The place is clean and the therapists are sweet. Also, it was only 22 freaking dollars for 25 minutes! My masseuse was attentive and effective. She would periodically ask if the pressure was ok (it was VERY ok) and it never felt rushed. At the end, she did a full-body "karate chop", including on my butt, and I didn't hate it! The setbacks - the "ambiance". But of course you can't expect it to be feel like a private oasis when you're in the Rosedale Mall next to Forever 21. They also try to get you to pay with cash, but if you don't have it you don't have it. My advice - after carrying around your shopping bags in the mall all day, I would pop into their store-front location (rather than the chairs in the foyer) and enjoy a cheap and convenient rubdown. read more

They really work on your aches and pains and the massage therapists are very detail-oriented with their massages. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to take away most pains. I have struggled with joint pain and inflammation my entire life. Medicines and Chiropractic treatment only gives me short term temporary relief. I go in for about 30 min of treatment a couple times a month and I feel better. I have better range of motion, more flexibility, less pain and most importantly -- I'm as loose as creamed corn afterwards. They have pretty advanced anatomical knowledge and many of these practitioners have been doing it for a long time. Hit or miss, but lately it's been great! I wanted to give these guys a 3.5, but pushed it up to a 4 because of how polite they are. Foot massages are one of my favorite things in life. Not a fan of the gloves, which they sometimes use. My feet can't be that bad lol. The price is also right, a dollar a minute. You can't get that price anywhere else. I don't go here for full body massages because they are too rough. Even when I say, "more gentle please," it's still intense! Keep it to the feet and we're good. After paying $65 for 1hr massage, $70+ including tax with my card, the masseuse demanded a tip. I was appalled that she the had the nerve to ask for a tip and the rude way she asked. I was already going to tip lady but in cash as I usually do, but I was still putting away my card away when her impatience got the best of her. I have been here 3 times and every time is consistently great in terms of the different type of massages. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is not quiet. Yes it is in a mall so you would expect the occasional chatter or background noise-but this is more than that. The rooms have an open ceiling and there are curtains for doors. So you pretty much hear everything. The prices are great and there is usually not a long wait. They staff it pretty well on the weekends. read more

My wife and I like to go to get massages once in a while just to get relaxed and loosened up. I know it depends what you are looking for in a massage, I didn't really have much of an expectation for this place especially for being in a mall. First off some of the staff didn't really understand English. I had asked for a female and would have waited for one but the guy that had me didn't understand so I just said fine whatever and laid down. Second, I had asked him to ease off and not put so much pressure (elbowing shoulder blades) but it didn't seem like he understood so instead of an hour i asked for just 35 mins. Third, the ambience is poor, staff talking or manager yelling or talking loudly to each other, kids crying, peaceful music not loud enough/or would stop playing. Lastly, I wasn't that sore going in, especially playing football for 2+ hours the day before....my shoulder blades are more sore now. i I was standing in line I got a 10 minimum ETA after this guy told me to sit down on the chair ready to receive his great customer service now I had to get up and wait for another 1/2 hour because somebody else showed up, and I need to empty the chair I got up and left guys. Everytime I make an appointment at new dragon I always wait at least an hour past my appointment time. Sometimes it takes so long I don't even end up getting a massage. When I do get one however they do a good job, but the wait time and customer service is poor. read more
