Awful experience. Rude staff, horrible food, grimy looking atmosphere, I could not recommend less.

Anyone who has actually tasted real Italian food will not be able to call it Italian food. I would say a pathetic semblance of Italian food.

Would rather go to Olive Garden where the food and service is better. It was just an overall unpleasant experience there.

Lacrosse is lucky to have other local options that don't need to pay for nationwide marketing campaigns. And as I remembered, the food was OK, but nothing special. Your server, "Ryan" totally won me back as a customer! I am a member of a small group of friends who get together monthly for lunch, and we take turns with the Bill. Believe it or not, I had to look up the address of this Olive Garden, because it is located in area of the city that has been changing pretty rapidly. Always eager to spend time with this group, I had been looking forward to the gathering, even though I was somewhat on the fence about our meeting place. But we had such a great time, and most of it was due to Ryan's amazing attitude! All of us travel quite a bit, and I had just gotten home from a really nice vacation down at the Caribbean. But I can honestly say that not one server in Saint Barts could hold the candle to Ryan's work ethic! He was friendly without being cloying, and he gave honest recommendations without seeming to steer us to the high priced options. To settle our discussion about the various soup options, he appeared with four small bowls so that we could all sample! And I can say that he did OG a huge favor, because all 4 soups were Way above average! He thoughtfully helped our hostess with her own order, tactfully pointing out that he could wrap up her leftovers so that she could enjoy them later for dinner... He was just so thoughtful, so attentive... So much of everything that you would want in a first rate server! I've never met the gentleman before, and I can assure you that no money changed hands in return for this review. And I am seldom moved to the point that I willingly write a review. But it's only fair to let management... And future patrons!... know that you can relax at Olive Garden if Ryan is on the job! (I didn't get his last name and I feel bad about that...) I will be back...and I hope to be in his section!

She really should have had some back up and help tonight but she did the best she could do. Aside from the food and drinks taking forever several times orders were wrong or incomplete. The food was sub par. But I was not expecting much. There was a server assistant/busser on but our table was never prebussed. I won't bore anyone with the rest. At the end of the meal we had to separate our own checks and ask for a manager to help with some errors. The manager just sent the server back to us and we never saw the manager. We figured it out but it took us a while. Even after everything the manager never came to do a table visit or help the poor server out. I'm a bit stunned by the incompetence of the company for allowing this to happen. I told the server to find a new serving job where she get get support from other staff and manger when it's needed. I wish her luck and hope she listens.

A Chromatic Feast: The Warm Embrace of Sagra in La Crosse…read more To dine at Sagra in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is to be reminded that genuine culinary warmth can be found far from the traditional epicenters of Italian gastronomy. Guided by an exceptionally attentive and gracious staff, the experience unfolds with a well-paced rhythm that immediately puts the diner at ease. It is an establishment that clearly understands the intersection of great service and great food. The meal begins with a study in subtle elevation: olives presented with a gentle, deliberate warming. It is a small but vital touch that awakens their natural oils and briny depth, setting a welcoming tone for the table. The meatballs follow suit, boasting a robust, comforting heft. They are deeply hearty and undeniably tasty, anchored by a rustic authenticity that demands a proper piece of bread to chase the remaining sauce. However, the quiet star of the evening was a sweet potato dish that essentially stole the stage. It was a vibrant, chromatic triumph--an absolute masterclass in both visual palette and culinary palate. The kitchen managed to coax an astonishing spectrum of colorful flavors from the root vegetable, elevating a humble ingredient into something genuinely amazing. "Life is a combination of magic and pasta." -- Federico Fellini The pasta course, often the crucible by which an Italian kitchen is judged, was a remarkably pleasant affair. While it may not have possessed the sheer, surprising theater of the sweet potatoes, it remained a fundamentally nice, deeply satisfying plate of food that grounded the meal in tradition. Ultimately, Sagra delivers an unequivocally great dining experience. It is a restaurant that balances hearty comfort with vibrant execution, proving that a well-crafted Italian menu in the heart of Wisconsin is a journey well worth taking. While not always on the menu, ask for a raspberry lemon drop and you won't regret it. The BEST one I've ever had. I will be begging the bartenders to teach me their ways before they close their doors. This is our top choice in town to celebrate accomplishments and achievements. The tavern and patio offer a more casual ambiance, while the restaurant itself is chic and has an element of more formality. The staff is always ALWAYS incredible and thoughtful. The food is always on point, interesting, and flavorful. We were so fortunate that they were able to seat us on the outdoor patio facing the water. This restaurant isn't just great for the views--the food and drinks here were phenomenal as well. Our appetizers of beer-battered cheese curds and mussels were so flavorful and hit the spot. We also loved our fish tacos and linguini with scallops (I absolutely loved the crushed red pepper that came with it too!). Our food all paired nicely with their extensive cocktail/drinks menu, which included many different breweries and distilleries. This is one of those restaurants you'll remember visiting forever--definitely come visit if you can!
