10 out of 10 from me! The food here is so great! We have been here twice in the last month. I tried the eggplant Parmesan and i highly recommend it! The shrimp linguine is also out of this world! So delicious! We ordered pick up so I was really happy that not only was my food fresh, but it was still extremely hot when I made it home! :) (keep in mind I had a 30 minute drive from the restaurant) really well packaged. The portions are huge! So although they are a little pricey, you absolutely get your money's worth. My family had dinner and enjoyed leftovers for lunch the next day. My husband and I love going to this restaurant. Their entrées are delicious as well the appetizers and we absolutely love the service and the ambience. The wait staff always has us cracking up with their wiseguys comments. The restaurant gives the same vibe as some of the restaurants in the Sopranos series so not only do we experience delicious entrées and drinks we will feel immersed in their culture. Also, I tried their tiramisu for the first time and it is now my absolute all-time favorite dessert, ever. Angelini's in La Crosse is my new go-to for comfort food. I ordered the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and it was everything I hoped for--creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. I added sausage to make it a little extra special. The pasta was cooked just right, and the broccoli added a fresh crunch that balanced the richness beautifully and the sausage made it even better. Big love to Carmino, our server! My hero! Carmino was an absolute delight--friendly, fast, and full of charm. He made great recommendations, kept it light, and had us laughing between bites. Through every part of our meal, he made sure to check back with us that everything was meeting our standards. Service like that makes a good meal unforgettable. The restaurant itself is OK. Review of Experience on July 25, 2025 I would like to share my experience during a business trip / layover in Winona. I was accompanied by another corporate pilot, both of us working for a Fortune company. After a 30-minute drive from Winona, we arrived at the restaurant around 7:00 PM and chose to sit at a high-top table in the bar area. We were initially greeted by a friendly and polite young Italian server who made a positive first impression. As I settled in, I rested my calf onto the adjacent high-top stool--something I didn't view as out of place given the casual setting and my physical discomfort following a strenuous workout earlier in the day. When the server returned, he uncomfortably requested that I place my feet flat on the floor. I accepted the correction without argument, though I was a bit confused, especially since the height of the seating made that physically awkward. I knew this request was not coming directly from him. A few minutes later, I inadvertently placed my foot on the lower bar footrest of the chair adjacent. At that moment, the individual who I now understand to be the owner--Antonio A.--aggressively motioned for me to approach him. Without any attempt at civil discourse, he began shouting at me, demanding that I remove my feet from his furniture, stating, "I don't come to your house and jump all over your couch. Quit disrespecting my restaurant!" Completely taken aback, I remained calm and attempted to understand what had caused such an extreme response. Instead of engaging in any constructive conversation, the owner escalated the situation further, continuing to yell in my face before ultimately demanding we leave his establishment immediately, stating, "Before things get worse." It was, without question, the most unprofessional and aggressive treatment I have ever received from any place of business. I have dined in esteemed restaurants across the globe and never experienced such a public and humiliating confrontation. Unfortunately, I had not read the any of the negative reviews about this establishment prior to visiting--but I can now confirm from personal experience that the previous accounts are consistent with what we encountered. The owner's behavior is erratic, disrespectful, and completely disproportionate to the situation. After leaving, we drove a short distance into La Crosse and enjoyed a truly outstanding dinner at CIATTI'S Italian Restaurant. The food was excellent, the service gracious, and the atmosphere warm. I left an 80% tip--not out of obligation, but in recognition of the dignity, kindness, and professionalism shown to us. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I try to love others and carry a joyful disposition in my daily life. I found the experience at the previous restaurant not only disrespectful but also deeply disappointing. My hope is that Mr. Antonio A. might one day choose to publicly explain his actions--if not to defend himself, then at least to offer the public some clarity as to what prompted such hostility. I'm not angry about the situation; I truly believe it was not personal. I feel sorry for the raging anger this man carries in his heart. Great service and an OK meal. Had the Chix parm and a side of meatballs. I was a bit disappointed as my food was clearly microwaved. Cheese only becomes that consistency from being microwaved and parts of the dish were incredibly hot while others were just warm and the mosticoli was over cooked. The garlic bread searved with the dish was also just the generic frozen type you get from the grocery store. From an Italian resurant like this I would not have expected this to be the case but it is what it is. I would also expect this type of restaurant to offer a bread basket while you wait on food but there was not one offered. The restaurant has some odd signage outside and inside almost informing you that the owner is a jerk. It's a bit off putting to say the least and after my marginal microwaved meal I can only assume there is others who shared their sentiments on their experience only to receive his his disregard for public opinion. Well, this is a mixed review. I have been there a few times and thought the food was amazing. The waiter and the owners' son were delightful. BUT I have NEVER experienced such bullying and verbal abuse from anyone in my life. The owner started yelling at me in front of the entire bar and continued his rampage for at least 10 minutes. To my horror, he used several racist and ethnic slurs, including the "N" word. He said I was stereotyping him because I asked him about a wonderful Italian food market I visited in Chicago. I was humiliated and shocked by his response. He then continued to yell that he and his Chicago friends fraudulently submitted election ballots of dead people. Sadly, I miss the wonderful food but will never go there again. He seemed to enjoy belittling me. Outrageous! read more

I love this place. Been here a bunch of times and it's always good. BUT....I did not know they did burgers until very recently. And they're really, really good. and not ridiculously overpriced. You can get a double cheeseburger that rivals just about everyone else's. I recommend geilled onions and their "special" sauce. try it - you won't be disappointed. read more

Go to your local grocery, pick up a can of Chef Boyardee. Add a little garlic and onion powder. Warm according to instructions. Sit down at home and eat. You will save money and have a much better meal than you will at Angelini's. read more

We were visiting from southern Wisconsin for the weekend and decided on Italian for dinner. We absolutely LOVE this place! From the minute we walked in and saw the sparkly clean liquor bottles and all the wine glasses hanging above, to the amazing friendly service! They were very accommodating to our large group and our waiter was so funny! The food is on another level.. off the charts good! FANTASTIC ALL AROUND! Everyone's meal was on point. We had chicken broccoli Alfredo w/Angel hair pasta, thin crust pizza, deep dish pizza, shrimp linguine, and Pasta el Diavolo. The Canolli are to die for!!! Best we have ever had hands down!! The food was good but I feel the sauce is a bit salty tasting. The portions were enough for two, but my wife felt they her drink contained a very generous amount of ice. Every time I go there I am asked if we have a reservation and when I make it they can never seem to find it, maybe they should get better staff? read more

Food is outstanding! However, very little sides to go with main dishes. Absolutely awesome atmosphere but is hampered by wait staff. Had a waitress drop a knife about 2 mm from my hand and all she said was, huh, that was fun. She has a terrible attitude and absolutely destroys anything this place has going for it. NOTE: She had long black hair and is about 5'9" ... pretty sure it's the owners daughter, which is likely why she still has a job. I did go back a couple different times. We order pizza here every other week. I'm from Chicago and very picky about my pizza. Angelinis is delicious! Our favorites are the special thin crust or the meat lovers stuffed or deep dish. Best whisky/bourbon selection I've seen in a local restaurant. Their smoked old fashions are amazing! Great for take out or dine in. read more

Was going to check this place out because I love Italian food. However, after I heard horror stories from two people at work and a few other friends about how horrible the owner is, I choose to check out yelp first. Glad I did because I don't mind paying more for a good meal BUT I would rather drive to Rochester,MN and go to VIctoria's Restaurant where they have consistently GREAT FOOD and good service. If I want to take a gamble on a hit or miss experience, I will save my money for the casino. read more

We are from the area and have eaten here several times. We were here once and had to wait a while and the owner chatted with us, offered us some free drink samples, treated us like family. Tonight, we had the meat stuffed lasagna, which was unbelievably good, the best I have ever had. Even the salad had fresh warm buttery croutons. This is a great mom and pop place with consistently great food and good service, a rare thing these days. I would go here and support a local business any day rather than a big chain. I love their Pizza but will never go back. They were doing construction in the kitchen that shares a wall with the dining area we were in. It was extremely loud banging, equipment noises, etc. When we left I told the owner and he turned into a complete asshole. Stopped in for a drink and then dinner with a friend. Walked in and read the gigantic sign posted on the hostess station that read, "At Angelini's, the customer is not always right. If this offends you, please leave before you embarrass yourself." WTF ?? That should've been my first red flag. We told the hostess that we wanted to get a cocktail, and then dinner, and with no greeting or smile, she simply pointed us toward the bar. We sat down at the bar and weren't impressed with the whole "tough guy" decor, which included guns and pictures of mobsters. The bartender, who I understand is the owner's wife, glanced at us with a smirk, but no other acknowledgment. After sitting there and being ignored, and looking at the machine gun suspended over the bar, we just got up and left. Same crappy service that I've come to expect from Angelini's. Some things never change. It's the same service we got from them on a previous visit, and the same service that I got from them at Mario's when they owned that in downtown La Crosse. Ate at Angellini's last night at the recommendation of 2 co-workers that frequent this place regularly. It came highly recommended and it was everything I had been told. Great staff, great food, and great atmosphere. We enjoyed garlic cheese bread before our meal along with drinks. I ordered Shrimp linguini , and my gf ordered Anna Marie Primavera (excuse my spelling). Both were excellent. After our food the waitress brought out lemon cello(spelling?) shots to cleanse the pallet-those were good. We tried tiramisu, and cannoli for dessert. Everything was great. I took time to introduce myself to Kelly that owns the place with husband Tony. I let her know everything was great and told her whom referred us. She was very polite and thanked us. Lastly I did read the reviews and quite frankly I laughed at some.I am glad that some business owners have decided that the customer is not always right .They also may be shocked when they get called out or told so. There are too many snowflakes and offended people these days. Although Tony was gone and I didnt meet him I will say he has my full respect on doing things his way. Outdoor seating was great with a 7 month old. The high chair was the cleanest we've seen being out. The shrimp linguini was really good with lots of garlic. Rudest restaurant owner I've ever run into. When his place was in Sparta, a group of us went in for pizza. It was good but not great. When he came to our table to ask us how it was, I pleasantly told him "It was good." He went into a rant about me saying it was only good. I ordered the Veal Parmigiana Special to go, along with a salad. They said the veal came with one piece of garlic bread, so I ordered a second - it was needed! The food was great! However it was somewhat offset by the fact that they charged me $14.50 for the main dish. The online menu said $12:50. Same for the salad - $3.00 vs $2.50. We ordered this some time ago and I was not impressed considering the cost of the entrees. The items on the online menu were significantly more expensive once I paid my bills. Also, there was a promotion for a free bottle of wine after spending so much and they didn't include in our order. 3 stars are for the food quality. It was okay but lacked in flavor. I had the Ultimate Chicken Parmigiano. Portion size was huge, no joke and I'm a big guy who can usually clear a plate at almost any restaurant but had to take 1/2 of my dish home. My wife had this alfredo, sausage, and tortellini dish. it was okay as well, but without the sausage, it too lacked flavor. Unfortunately, their first try at the dish had to be sent back because when my wife cut a sausage in 1/2, she found part of a blue plastic fiber from a scrub brush inside it. They did apologize and made a new one and gave us a couple of shots of this lemon liqueur, that tasted like melted lemon gummy bear with cough syrup. Service was okay. We were there on Tuesday evening, just an hour after they opened, around 5 PM. Place was hardly busy, but service wasn't bad. They make it pretty clear that between the time you order and the time you get your food that it could be anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour, especially if they're busy. Do not expect quick service. My wife and I decided that we will not be going back because the price of food does not equal the price they are asking for it. We'd rather go back to our favorite place to get Italian food that's a little pricy but quality is awesome (Ciatti's) or even Olive Garden. read more

The pizza and bruschetta were excellent, hot and tasted fresh made. We had delivery within an hour and the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice surprise. I will be back. read more

This has been our go-to spot for deep dish Chicago-style pizza in the La Crosse area. We have been doing take out for a while (at the current location and at the previous location). Unfortunately, it seems that they no longer do pizzas on Friday and Saturday. (Recall that they only open at 4pm and they are closed on Sunday.) The restaurant itself looks nice (the window view looks great) and the menu has interesting items (on the nights I am there to pick up the pizza). I saw an Osso Bucco on the specials board once. At some point, I'll dine in. But I am prompted to write now because I am unhappy with the new pizza schedule. I'll revise my post and rating if that schedule returns.
