Great friendly service at a great little bar in Lacrosse. The food came out hot and fast and they have a great tap beer selection to choose from. They had trivia night when I was there and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Fun atmosphere and very clean.

Good place. Had a pizza with Italian sausage, green pepper and onion. Tasty thin crust, with a couple Spotted Cows.

Appetizers of potato wedges smothered in cheese and bacon alongside pickle wedges. Followed by the best chicken dessert salad I have ever had accompanied with the Ohio burger. One would have nothing to complain about besides a happy full belly. Service was exceptional and food was top quality!

Great spot for an apps, wings and beer. Bar stools were the best I've sat on. It is a nice spot to go that isn't downtown and less busy.

Ok so we went to try this for the first time today. The place wasn't that busy and the waitress was really sweet. The food came out really fast and was pretty good. So generally I check in on Yelp whenever I go someplace new so I did and it popped up with a discount for 10% off. There were 3 of us and I showed the waitress and she hadn't seen it before. She told the owner and another woman who I guess didn't know about it. The waitress returned, apologizing profusely and said the owners wouldn't honor the discount. (Really...it was only 10% which came out to $4.75 off). What bothered me is the owners handling of the situation. A) I get you didn't know about it but apply the discount anyway and check in with Yelp, claim the business and remove the option to offer discounts. B) Why are you going to send that poor waitress to deliver the news you were too uncomfortable to deliver yourself? As an owner, that is your responsibility to apologize and explain things to the customer. That waitress was embarrassed and uncomfortable and I really felt bad for her. While the food is good and service is fast, I don't like the way the owners handled the situation.

Overall, we enjoyed our time at this long-lived beer and burger joint. Sloopy's is a located a 5-minute drive north of downtown La Crosse, on a busy one-way street in a strange residential/commercial/industrial neighborhood. (Like the old song says, Sloopy lives in a very bad part of town... Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh). The main attraction of Sloopy's are the 24 well-chosen beers that they have on tap: Leinenkugel's, Sam Adams, Guinness, New Glarus, etc. The worst thing about Sloopy's were the drink prices. By La Crosse standards, everything here is VERY EXPENSIVE: the domestic draft taps we had rang up as $3.75 to $5.00; and tiny shots of hard liquor were $3.25. And while the food was pretty good, it was not particularly inexpensive. One can have after-work drinks and snacks at other much-more-upscale La Crosse establishments (eg. The Waterfront, The Starlite Lounge) for much-less-money. The best thing about Sloopy's was our friendly and helpful waitress/bartender Emily, who took care of our every need. The boys in our group fell in love with her; the girls wanted to be her BFF. If you want to see what skilled, courteous, and cheerful hospitality service looks like, go to Sloopy's and watch Emily work the room.

The new place is awesome. Great staff wonderful pizza and burgers for now more to come. The floors all hardwood, new painted walls moved the tappers so games can be watched. The bar rail has purse hooks so ladies do not forget your purse!

Kind of torn on this review…read more Grounded has a great patio and well-priced drinks. I just would say I haven't been super impressed by their drinks. I tend to prefer places that make some of their own syrups, etc. and from what I can tell, Grounded doesn't really do much from scratch, which is fine, just not my preference. Their drinks are usually good. I was kind of disappointed to see their even their seasonal specialty drink was not a homemade syrup. My biggest complaint is their cold brew is super weak/too watered down. Service is usually okay, cleanliness is usually okay as well. I do love their expanded hours, so we do stop here when others are closed.

Back then, it was our little ritual, cozy mornings with warm drinks and big feelings, just the two of us figuring out a new chapter one sip at a time. She'd order something with way too much whipped cream, and I'd pretend I wasn't tearing up over how grown-up she looked holding her cocoa. Now? We still go, only these days, she brings her friends, and I'm just along for the ride, and maybe to pay. It's gone from quiet catch-ups to full-blown coffee shop photo shoots with her crew. And honestly? The lighting in there gets it. The huge windows, the plants, the downtown charm, it's practically begging for cute, candid best friend pics and "caught laughing but obviously posed" moments. The vibe is warm, welcoming, a little artsy, and always buzzing in the best way. Whether we're talking about life, school, crushes, or just sitting in that comfortable silence that only comes with time, Grounded feels like home. A beautiful, caffeinated home with oat milk options and the occasional scone we swear we're splitting, but somehow I never get half. Grounded isn't just a coffee shop to us. It's a memory maker, a tradition keeper, a growing-up landmark in latte form.

Be careful though, there are signs that designate certain parking spots for bank customers only. On the outside, it's not overly impressive but as always, it's what's on the inside that counts. When you walk in, the fresh produce (local if available, organic and conventional options all abound) is the first thing you see. Nestled inside of the produce department is a generous salad bar, where you can build your own salad from a serious array of veggies, proteins and toppings for about $6 a pound. Not a bad deal if you're on the run or at the store and don't feel like cooking tonight! There's also an aisle solely dedicated to bulk foods, and their selection is completely impressive. Take a stroll down that aisle before settling on anything pre-boxed or pre-bagged. Make sure you take one of their provided stickers and write the PLU (provided on the dispensing canisters) on the bag for the person at the check out! They've got your standard fare (cereals, canned items, household cleaning items), but with an eye to what's organic, local, environmentally friendly etc. Their meat and dairy department is amazing, and you can pick up farm fresh eggs that are locally grown and harvested for just under $4 a dozen. I purchased some ground beef that was locally raised and grass fed, and it was exceptional. There's a fantastic deli department with pre-made items, a bakery that can definitely get you in trouble, and a wine and beer aisle with a cold side if you're in a hurry. There's even a section for essential oils and charcoal soaps and things of that nature. The best part is, you don't need to be a member to shop here. Membership is encouraged at about $100 or so a year, and you get special savings that way. I recommend the co-op to everyone I come across!
