Most of these boardwalk italian places are either mediocre or just plain bad and overpriced. This one is definitely better than the vast majority and we were all pleased with the food and service. Takeout works very quickly and prices aren't too outrageous. You can definitely find cheaper if you go off the boardwalk but could be worse. And the food was not bad at all. This place used to be so much better. Now it's so disappointing in every way. First off, the pizza now is beyond tasteless. Where -is -the- SAUCE??? UGH. Used to be decent pizza, the same guy is back in the kitchen but not the same pizza. Ordered zucchini sticks, which were very good, BUT were literally served with a side of canned shopped tomatoes. (cold, raw tomatoes, no spices, and bitter) So left them on the plate. I asked for a side of pizza sauce and was told that was it. Pizza was so bland, I just left that on the plate. There mussels aren't bad, had to ask for bread, which usually does come with them. Hate waiting 5 minutes for things that should have been served with the meal. The food was dog (not good) the chicken tenders were two pieces, terrible, and on top of that they tasted like Tyson microwaveable nuggets. And they costed more than the microwaveable ones and they were worse than the microwaveable ones. THE PIZZA WAS HORRIBLE it tasted like pizza lunchables that I got in third grade and made myself. So, my mom and I ordered dinner on the boardwalk earlier this evening a few mins after we arrived on the boardwalk before heading to the beach.....all I gotta say is.......I've HAD better.....customer service was next to poor, our order was "forgotten".....wait time was longer than should've been......our meal should've been FREE on the house! The service was quick, and it's nice having. Cliten free sub and pizza option. Whether eating in our out the price is the same, and you can get a single slice with whatever toppings you'd like. The kids ravioli had 3 very large round ravioli with sauce, which wasn't quite enough for our 12 year old, and ended up adding a slice of cheese. I'm a big fan of Angelo's pizza...well, I WAS a big fan. No trip to the beach was complete to me until I bought myself a big slice of the spinach pizza with the tomatoes and ricotta cheese on top. Pure heaven! I went there yesterday for the first time this season. I will not return. I ordered a slice of the spinach/ricotta/tomato pizza, and the guy put it into the oven, then proceeded to ring me out. He stated that my total was $4.25! I thought he misspoke, that certainly a slice of pizza couldn't possibly cost $4.25. Well, I was wrong, and he was right. I understand the economy and the rising food costs, trust me, and I don't mind terribly paying a little more in this day and age for a slice of pizza, but give me a break here. I think that $4.25 for a slice of pizza is absolutely ridiculous. Your pizza is great, but not $4.25 per slice great. Get over yourself. read more

We loved Angelo's takeout! Overall, great portions and good price. Our family ordered one chicken cheese steak (huge) with the fixings. The flavors were amazing and hit the spot when we were on the beach. We ordered and our food was made on the spot. The rest of my family indulged with an Italian. I was getting sick of Manco and Manco all week so I tried a slice of Angelo's Mafia slice..Chunky Roma tomatoes, Whole galic, and fresh leaves of basil..It was like dying and going to heaven,The best thing I ever had on the boardwalk. As far as the price.The slices are gigantic! And you get what you pay for. I would absolutly would go over and over again regardless of the $5 to $6 dollar slices.It's the same as paying $3 for 2 slices..This place is the real deal..If your not a fan of fresh garlic and tomatoes then I would say go to Manco and Manco for a ketchup pie. read more

The kids liked the burgers and fries and the pizza looked great. The seafood was lacking though. The red sauce was just a pizza sauce, and the seafood was over cooked. The service was great and the dinners came with bread and a salad. No drink refills. We will not likely eat there again. read more

This is my first Yelp review, and I am writing this solely because I am shocked at the low amount of reviews for this amazing, unique place. So much better than Mac & Manco's greasy slices of cardboard they pass for pizza, who for some reason have 115 reviews. I've been coming to Ocean City, NJ for the summer my whole life. I've ate at almost all the various pizza places on the boardwalk, and I can say with confidence that Angelo's is the best pizza you can get. They have a wide variety of pies (my personal favorites are the white pizza and the meatball pizza), including a baked ziti pie which is absolutely delicious. They also have good dinner specials (try the fra diavolo sandwich, the brocolli rabe, or penne alla vodka). The servers are very nice and attentive, way better service than one would expect for a boardwalk restaurant that mainly sells slices. It is located on the end of the shops on the boardwalk, which might explain it's lack of attention, but it's worth the walk. Note: Angelo's only has one. Don't be fooled by "Angelo's II" located around 8th and Boardwalk. They are not affiliated at all, and their pizza is, if you can imagine, even worse than Mac and Manco's. read more

Went there today for lunch. Not cheap but good. The main problem is that no prices are posted for any pizza. My egg plant slice was 8.99 but was worth it. The slice is so big you have to cut it. The plastic knife and fork doesn't cut it. read more

What a pleasant surprise! My family and I went in to Angelo's for a slice of pizza, but ended up getting pasta, and it was delicious! Lasagna was one of the specials, and for only $12.95 you got a very hearty portion along with bread and salad. Two of us got spaghetti and meatballs, and it was hard to believe we were at a boardwalk pizza joint. The pasta was perfectly cooked and al dente, and the sauce was delicious. Spaghetti also came with bread and salad. My daughter had pizza, and gave it a thumbs up. Service was fantastic. It was packed and our server really hustled, refilled drinks immediately, etc. Our new favorite!! read more
