We went yesterday so my son could try some New York style pizza. Great location on the boardwalk, lovely views, we sat at the counter and they do have some tables. We had pepperoni, cheese, a calzone and bruschetta pizza. Everything was delicious. Would definitely go back. The young lady who served us was lovely. read more

The food here is delicious, the only bad thing I can say about it is nothing. The service is straightforward with a smile, extremely friendly and polite. Generous size slices with delicious toppings, great chew on the crust which had a nice crispy crunch to it. I can hardly wait to go back and try more of the different variety of pizza on sale there. Roma pizza serves one of the best nyc pizza slices I've had in my life. This includes NYC and NJ burbs (little Italy, Arthur Ave, Brooklyn, Hoboken, Manhattan, queens) where I lived and worked for years, Philly, CT, Bay Area, and beyond over almost 50 years. I love pizza more than anything and I'm always searching for the perfect slice. The crust is absolutely delicious. It's so thin with a perfect crisp, and yet holds up the pepperoni topping and cheese very well. The sauce is perfect - sweet and a bit tart and you can taste the delicious tomatoes. The crust top is a bit doughy and with a perfect flavor and chew. The cheese is delicious and fine- no gooeyness. It is perfectly baked, not undercooked and not overdone. This is a great science and art. Even the pepper flakes are bursting with flavor and fresh. I thanked Bradley who makes this perfect slice - he's a great artisan and so warm and humble. Ocean City has another "famous " pizza spot... it's almost a tourist attraction now... but Roma Pizza, in my opinion, was a home run.... The other....maybe a double at most. Quick little vacation at OC and we were hungry for pizza and pretty much decided on the first place we came across. Well that was overrun with kids so on to the next which was Roma. Good looking pies already made but we decided on a boli that had to be made fresh. Very hospitable servers and even the chef came by to give us metal utensils. He said we might need them. Shortly afterwards our boli came out. It was huge! Nice crisp, light crust, lots of cheese and meat and fresh veggies. This was perhaps the best boli I've had. This place is the best kept secret of the boardwalk! The service is the best by all of the staff and owner!! friendly, personable, and professional!! The food is phenomenal!! We got the cheesesteak Stromboli, bruschetta slice, grandma pie and regular pie!! Delicious doesn't describe it well enough. Brad makes the perfect body of the pie where it's just enough crunch yet thin enough to hold all the spectacular ingredients. I'm from NYC so trust me, I know great pizza. A plain slice, pepperoni slice and a specialty slice will run you about $12-$14 but are mighty tasty. The sauce is sweet, dough is pounded thin like a veal cutlet and the salty cheese is adequately dispersed across the slice. This is typical shore pie at its best. Stopped in here during the Ocean City Block Party after taking a nice walk on the boardwalk. The atmosphere is nostalgic and can put anyone in a good mood with smelling the fresh ocean water and sea breeze combined with incredible slices of pizza. The pizza is a thinner crust and is a very large slice. The pizza chef also gave me a free slice fresh out of the oven which was very much appreciated. read more

Bread and crust between thin and thick in texture and a big winner. Everyone liked the flavor and nice chewiness. One of the main reasons we will definitely repeat. Pretty much everyone liked the pizzas a lot. Pepperoni was on the greasy side so be ready. Oh and the pizzas are Yuge. Almost as big as the now defunct Big Slice on the boardwalk. I normally get pizza at Manco Manco however today 7/18/20 both boardwalk locations were closed due to COVID19 infections of staff and their location in Somers point had already closed because it was after 9pm. terrible people i stopped in after a day on the beach ordered two slices a salad and Mac and cheese .from the beginning the server was very rude had an attitude and gave us no time to choose what we wanted. after ordering the food came out and was sub par . I politely gave back the Mac and cheese so politely that the server didn't even know I sent it back , I went to pay and was charged for mac and cheese that wasn't eaten because it was disgusting. I asked if I was being charged and told yes because we offered another dish and you refused . I ask for the owner he responded we offered you another dish you said no so you'll be charged . it was 50.00 for two slices two drinks and a salad . we said wow nice customer service " he said I knew you wouldn't be back " I said what and he repeated . he spoke poorly of my wife and I told him not to speak about my family he continued and I had to take the high road pay and leave this is a very unprofessional place terrible service and should be closed down . this is not a man running this place but someone who has seriou issues and doesnt know how to treat people properly read more

This is a storefront pizza joint on the boardwalk in Ocean City. Setup is pretty typical - front opens to boardwalk, where people can walk up and walk away with a slice or a pie. There's also a small back area, maybe 10 4 top booths, with waiter service. Picture 1970's era laminate seats and tables. We went on a busy Saturday night. Menu selection is typical with pizzas, calzones, strombolis, wings. We wanted a salad (on the menu). They were out of salad. Okaaay. Well, the boardwalk isn't a pantheon of healthy eating. Pizzas come in one size only - 18". As we had 3 kids in our group we ordered one cheese and one pepperoni. One 3 cheese calzone was also ordered. Pizzas were decent, crusts were somewhat tasteless. Not overly greasy or salty. Calzone had good cheese to crust ratio and generous sauce on the side. What got this place 4 stars was the service. First, they didn't mind at all our taking up 2 booths as we were 7 people. Second, they offered freely to hold our leftover pizza there while we went out and enjoyed the rides and such. Lastly, they asked how long we were staying and cheerfully warned us that most of the boardwalk businesses were cash-only and to be prepared for that. Also I didn't wake up at 3 AM with raging heartburn like I often do after eating pizza. Nice. Not a bad pizza joint on the boards, overall. :) read more

I've had my fair share of pizzas and I have to say that this is my favorite pizza I've ever eaten (and yes I've had Pepe's in New Haven). The sauce is flavorful, the pizza is crunchy but doesn't cut the roof of your mouth and the crust is fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect from boardwalk food but Roma Pizza exceeded all my expectations. Bravo! read more

This place had some great reviews on Yelp, so we wanted to try it. Fresh pies were hot in the oven ready to come out. We made our selections, two plain and one white slice. Great pizza for sure and reasonable prices. On top of that, I was watching the pizza maker doing his thing. A true professional, using gloves as needed, changing them as needed. I like to see proper food handling. We also tried one of those huge slices at another place earlier in the week. There was no comparison. Try Roma. You won't be disappointed. read more
