Happy to find a new Italian spot on the north end! Popped in for a working lunch and was greeted and seated immediately. Service was pleasant and consistent throughout. The menu has wonderful pasta options, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and of course pizza! I opted for a build your own pizza, though the pizza options were creative and plentiful. My pizza was outstanding! Perfectly cooked, delicious sauce, ample toppings and great portion size! I ordered the 12" and it fed me for 3 days! Wanted to try out a new Italian restaurant and got rec's from Yelp for this place. The interior is cute. Got greeted quickly. We placed our order and the std pasta dishes took some time to get to us. Our pasta finally did come out hot, however it was very underwhelming. The pasta was well undercooked for my chicken Gorgonzola dish. It was very chewy. The chicken was also very tough and chewy. My husbands dish the pasta had been sitting in the water too long and the noodles were stuck together. There also seemed to be a lack of sauce compared to amt of noodles. The noodles are homeade. This was our first time trying the newly remodeled Angelo's Taverna. The space still has the same rustic feel, but is more modern now with much more ambient light. The service was great. Our meals came out much quicker than expected. I had the Ragu di Capra and my husband had the Duck Strozzapreti. Both were delicious. We tried some wine from the Carboy winery which is on the upper level of the restaurant. The Cabernet was somewhat flavorless, but the Sauvignon Blanc was pretty good. For dessert we had the Limoncello cake and two cannoli. The cake was wonderful and the cannoli were the best we'd ever had, and such a deal! $3 for two! We will definitely be back. read more

What an amazing place! The atmosphere is incredible and the service is top notch! I was already sold on professional the greeter was and the lady that sat us down. Then we had the most amazing server---I wish I remembered her name so I can give her a Yelp shout-out! Everything she recommended was great, from the calamari, the smoked oysters to my crazy seafood pasta requirement. She made our experience a memorable one! The Gorgonzola Steak Fettuccine was a big winner again tonight. Our friend ordered it this time and she loved it. Couldn't stop eating the pieces of steak. I ordered the Frutti. We decided to try this regional chain (Denver. Littleton, Colorado Springs) and was not disappointed. The restaurant is off Woodman and a little tucked away. First off, our server, Alexia, was on top of it, kind, courteous, and knew the menu. We sampled the appetizer menu, having the meatball slider and dine grilled oysters. Both awesome! Also tried the house wine which was amazingly good. Then had the mussels and duck confit pasta. Very good. Prices are competitive. Next time we'll have a pizza. The service and atmosphere was awesome. Lots of parking. Only open for 4 weeks or so. We liked the appetizers and salad. The main dishes were just ok. A lot of cheese just poured over everything, especially the lasagna and eggplant parm. And all the spices were dry spices over the top. No fresh herbs...and it tasted so. Food was soooo good! There were four of us and we tried all of the chargrilled oyster flavors. Delicious but not quite "charred" enough - a few were more raw than chargrilled. We had four different entrees and they were all very good! Then we split the chocolate ravioli and they were done before I got a pic. Service was ok. We visited the wine bar upstairs while waiting for our table. Nice, quiet ambience, great selection of wines by the glass. We especially enjoyed looking out the big window at the heavy rain which started as soon as we were safe inside! The restaurant was very crowded and noisy (on a Wednesday night) and we could barely hear ourselves talk. I had the Chile Relleno Ravioli, which was brilliantly executed and delicious. My sister was less impressed with her Butternut Squash Ravioli, saying the squash was bland and the only flavor in the dish was from the bacon. My wife was disappointed with her Mushroom Agnolotti, wishing that it had some sort of tasty sauce to tie it together. We mentioned it to our waiter and the manager (Jason?) came right over and took her dish off the bill and gave us a free dessert. That's the right way to do it and we were very impressed. I would like to try Angelo's again someday. read more

We went to try Carboy winery and ended up eating at Angelo's downstairs. Had a very delicious French onion soup and a side of garlic bread. My husband enjoyed his pizza. What made the dinner wonderful was the service. Tami was our waitress. She understood our wants and was right there with an extra plate and had a wonderful attitude. The manager, Mercedes was constantly walking the floor checking on customers and if she saw something needed to be done, she did it. Do try the carmel brownie. Our first time here, called for priority seating but still had a bit of a wait. The place was hopping! We had an excellent squid appetizer and the raw oysters were delicious. Pizza was good and the pasta with mushrooms as well. Our server was Tammy, and she was great! Will be back. Only downside was it was very loud inside. Toasted ravioli, bison ravioli, chicken parm, mushroom agnolotti, arancini, cheesecake, limoncello cake, and chocolate ravioli. There were three of us, but we shared. These were all amazingly good. Complex flavors and nice twists, like prosciutto on the chicken parm and an herb butter garlic sauce on the bison ravioli. Absolutely coming back here. It's a bit loud at the bar, but very much worth it. And should mention the service, which was outstanding and friendly. Beat my latest experience at Cowboy Star--a favorite of mine--by a mile. read more

Food was wonderful. We were in time before happy hour ended so we had a great deal of $1.25 fresh oysters and meatball sliders before our actual meals. The 4 arancini were delicious, one for each of us. Also ordered were the house baked oysters (wonderful). Two shared an order of bison ravioli with vodka sauce. They loved it. The ravioli were so full of meat and it was definitely plenty to share. Chili Relleno ravioli was certainly different. Cheese and poblano pepper filled pasta in a cheesy cream sauce with giardinara vegetables. Duck strozzapretti had lots of duck, Italian sausage and my husband slurped up every last bit. The restaurant is large but very loud, I don't know if sitting in the vaulted ceiling side would have been any better. Even our waitress had to talk above the noise. There is a large outdoor patio, but no one there due to the 90+ weather. Next time we will be there for oysters and partaking of Coboy winery selections. read more

We celebrated our 7 year anniversary at Angelo's at it was absolutely incredible. Devin greeted us with a fabulous fried ravioli tasting and when he learned it was our anniversary he gave us a bottle of Carboy rose wine. Lexi our server was top notch and took great care of us. This was the best meal I remember EVER having!!!! The arancini appetizer was incredible, with Italian sausage inside- perfect flavor.
