I found this little gem while looking for an Italian restaurant, and I'm so glad I did! My fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp was absolutely delicious. My coworker ordered the meatball sandwich with fries, and I don't think he left a single crumb on his plate. The dining room felt like a charming little Italian piazza, bright, welcoming, and full of character. It gave the feeling of dining outdoors while still being the perfect cool retreat thanks to the air conditioning. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. It wasn't just our server, either, two other servers noticed our drinks were getting low as they walked by and offered to top them off. That kind of teamwork and attention to detail really stood out. If you're looking for a fun, relaxing place to enjoy a great meal, I highly recommend giving this place a try. And don't leave without checking out the dessert room. It's an absolute must-see! From ambience to service to food...this Italian restaurant which I picked out of whim when I was in Springs the past Sunday for a job assignment became a nice surprising discovery which is worth a time to write about. I definitely wanted to sit down/relax/eat so when I stepped in and realized that Happy Eats Pasta ("HEP") was more than those casual "order upfront" type places I had a sigh of relief. Upon arrival the lady upfront greeted me with a smile. Once she learned that I was there for a dine in she said to grab a table of my choice so I picked the one on the left all the way to the corner for quietness (needed to do some work related stuff on my phone.) The interior decors are quite adorable. Ample space with ample number of tables. And very clean as well. Menu has a good selection of food from salads to sides to pasta to sandwiches to desserts. After perusing it as the lady gave me time to do so I decided to go with the half pasta ($8, $12 for full), house salad ($6) to start my early dinner. What's great about the pasta is that you can customize it to your liking; in order words it's a build-your-own style. I thus went with fettuccine as the pasta, meat bolognese as the sauce and eggplant as the veggie. I made mine very simple and yet there isn't really any limit to this: you can add however many ingredients you can add to supersize your dish. The house salad was pretty much immediately served as it's a simple salad that didn't take too long for the kitchen to prepare. The salad was a typical house salad and yet I enjoyed it as it was a really good portion for the price. The greens, the cherry tomatoes, they all tasted fresh. Soon after my pasta dish arrived. This too is/was a good portion for the base price of $8. The meat bolognese sauce is a $4 add on and each veggie add on is $2. Since I only got one veggie the total price for the entire pasta dish was $14. The fettuccine was perfectly al dente. The meat bolognese sauce wasn't too salty at all. What I mostly enjoyed was the eggplant veggie add on. Perfectly sautéed. Great texture indeed. Both salad and pasta came with a small dinner roll. The friendly lady (after dinner) came and dropped off the dessert menu. The cannoli ($5) immediately caught my attention so I went with it without hesitation. I also ordered a cup of decaf drip coffee to accompany my cannoli. The cannoli was also a good portion size for the price. The decaf nicely complimented the dessert. HEP must be on your list for a decent Italian restaurant if you are in Springs next time. Whereas I will by no means categorize it as a fancy restaurant in any way its decency might quite shock you. And GET THE CANNOLI! BTW.. they do serve alcohol (draft beers and wines). read more

The owner was indignant when we protested the PIF charge and started removing everything from the table, including the water we were still drinking. Not worth $60 for lunch for 2, without drinks. Implemented by our County for the benefit of developers) was ! HALF orders (Full portion on SOME of the meals is half price. But, my $18 full order was $15 for the half order. Tricky, very large menu. ! THE WORST part of the lunch was when I refused to pay the 2% surcharge; the owner got indignant and cleared our table BEFORE we were done. At In-N-Out Burger, if you contest the PIF, they take it off your bill immediately, no questions asked. The owner stressed that they were "A mom-and-pop business" The owner then turned up the music, which was already too loud, so the other 2 tables (Hmmmm...No wonder there were only 2 other tables at prime lunchtime) wouldn't hear us lamenting our dissatisfaction with our lunch. , '. ! What a nice little mom and pop place. The decor is very inviting as is the staff. This was our first time and it was great. I gotta say the bolognese was really very good. Man, I have been eating at this place, before there was even "a place." I used to follow their food truck all over town just to get my favorite pasta. I was in, just a couple days ago and had my usual Fettuccine Alfredo, with grilled chicken and peas. As always it was perfect, but the real story is the strawberry milkshake I got. We had a party of nine and did not have a reservation, unaware that the restaurant accepted them. We arrived around 4:15 PM and were welcomed and seated without any issues. The staff simply rearranged some tables and chairs to accommodate our group. This charming little restaurant is beautifully decorated, clean, and tidy, with an eclectic style. Our waitstaff was exceptionally attentive, and our food arrived promptly. The pasta was cooked to perfection; I ordered penne, which was al dente, just as it should be. Their bread consists of Hawaiian rolls topped with delicious garlic butter and parmesan. Although a roll comes with most entrees, we ordered extra as appetizers. They were fresh and delicious! Checkout was a breeze. We had four different tickets, and they were processed by the staff using a handheld computer with tip options already calculated. it is very hard to get good Italian food out west. I'm an Italian American from New York who grew up in a town full of Italian Americans one or two generations from Ellis Island and this place is awesome. I can't believe I have finally found a place where I can eat Italian food again. I also absolutely love the atmosphere. They evidently found a bunch of vintage tables and chairs and they look magnificent. I want to take home the one I'm sitting at right this minute lol. It is hard to write a review about average service, so when I encounter excellent service, I don't feel it is a chore to review them. Happy Eats Pasta is not just excellent service (from everybody there), but the food was excellent, too, combined with fair prices making a dinner here a great value. We share the caprese salad as an appetizer and it was super fresh and flavorful, perfect for two (2 slices each). She had the fettucine alfredo with mushrooms and chicken and swears she never had better. I had the spaghetti with maranara, spinach, and meatballs and it was just as I had hope, simple but rich. She had the brownie with ice cream and I had the Peroni which rounded off a perfect dinner. Next time, I want a cannoli. They fill them when ordered so they're fresh and crisp. read more
