If you're looking for good pizza with some healthy options, this is the place to go. They also have sandwiches and soups. Great place with healthy options. They also have a gift shop where you can walk off your meal right next door and ice cream place right across if you want some dessert.

Each pizza is build your own. So if it's not what you wanted, take a self help class and learn about yourself. Maybe a baby goat yoga class. Do some introspection. The pepperoni is the GOOD cupped roni the bacon is SERIOus!!! & the Italian sausage drove its own Ferrari to work today! Cheese is cheese. It's good, gooey & everything you'd expect. Sauce? Wow! Built a minor league meat lovers with mlb golden glove winner flavor. The thin crust snaps!! Snaps like a fan of jazz at a poetry slam! Highly recommend! Give it a go! The "delux" I constructed for my base line is ... pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, red onion, mushroom got called out and brought the receipts!! It knew the assignment! My go to base line is a supreme/delux & this one taught me to love again! The ingredients are crispy! Like McDonald's sprite crisp! The flavors all held together by the string theory of mozzarella cheese. Same crazy thin snappy crust & sauce that's a live wire direct line to the brain of 1.21 jiggawats!! If you're in Colorado Springs and feeling like a buy by the slice inner child cuddle session pizza experience go to Poor Richard's! The staff are very friendly. Brutally honest & nice. Nice even when busy & that says a lot. So stop on by & prove me wrong while giving yourself a private moment to put in your journal! It's About $6 a slice give or take with tax n tip (don't be a jerk) I concede... this place is pizza Pirate approved!

Poor Richard's has such a huge menu - you can bring anyone here and they will find something to choose. My favorite is their deals on pizza because you get this huge slice it's basically like two slices! I also ordered an Italian soda today, which you pick up in the cafe/bar area (Rico's). They also have a wine bar there and tons of events and live music. The four businesses of Poor Richard's are all connected, so I like to order my food, then walk around the toy store and book shop while I wait. However I'm here all the time because I get all my gifts at the book store! (See bookstore review) The staff is so friendly and helpful. I know three of them now because I see them so much!

Pretty good place. There are quite a few vegan options. The lady at the register seemed well versed on allergies and what the food here contains. I have a family of various different allergies in each person and she was able to answer all of our questions easily. The customer service is absolutely amazing. The whole pizza is big. Two slices was enough for me. So we even have pizza to go. Parking is all metered. And there's a toy store connected to the store itself. It's a nice place to grab a bite especially if there's different dietary restrictions.

This restaurant is connected to the coffee shop, bookstore and toy store (you could spend hours at all of the stores!). I like that there's a variety of vegan/vegetarian options here, even the pizza. You're able to build your own slice which is practically unheard of! I did a salad and slice combo, which yielded me a free house wine for spending over $10. I got light cheese, mushroom, olives and bell peppers on my pizza and it was really good! Honestly not the best slice I've ever had, but tasty, good crust (medium thickness, not floppy) and personalized. The salad was unique in that it had green beans, chickpeas and other less common salad veggies. I got the vegan sesame dressing and tbh it was pretty flavorless. I tried a bite of a salad that had balsamic and that was very good so get that one! The ambiance out on the patio is amazing. It looks like a cute Italian villa with murals and flowers. This is a great place to dine in esp outside. The guy helping us was super nice and helpful as well. I can't wait to try more items in the future.

Neat restaurant/bookstore! We came for a late lunch on 4th of July and didn't realize they were closing early. However, the staff were super friendly and let us stay to finish our food. We never felt rushed or unwanted. They have a nice little play area in the back that the kids loved. My husband and I shared a BBQ or Bust pizza- it was HUGE! Wow!! Our son had a single slice of cheese which was plenty, the side salad was yummy, too! Wish we had come earlier to check out the bookshop...we'll have to come back next time we're in CO.

Did they change the pizza? I swear it is not the same as pre-covid. The sesame dressing doesn't taste the same either. Is it just me?

Snag some street parking in Downtown Colorado Springs across from Acacia Park and mozy on into the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives favorite, Skirted Heifer. I remember watching their episode 10 years ago. I didn't even live in Colorado back then! Their claim to fame is the iconic cheese "skirt" on their burgers. The way they melt the cheese, you get this funky crispy cheesy entity around the burger resembling a skirt. On this visit, I kept it simple with the Pueblo Farmer and fries. Pueblo Farmer ($12.25) // Grass-fed beef, pueblo chilies, pepper jack cheese, & homemade guacamole on our sesame seed bun. Beefy, spicy, creamy, a perfectly balanced burger. I didn't get it skirted (I honestly was so tired from driving that I forgot), but I wouldn't change much about this burger. Damn tasty! Burgers don't come with fries so I added those on. These are thin and salty. Even though the fries are extra, they have a little sauce bar with their ketchup, ranch, and Heifer sauce to accompany it. The sauces were all great and tasted homemade! Honestly, just wish there was more seating as it's usually crowded. They do have a few outdoor stools, but it does get chilly when the sun is down. If it's good enough for Guy (Fieri...duh) it's good enough for me!

I have to admit that the ambience is really cool; you walk down into a basement to enter the restaurant, which used to be the city morgue, and while that's a little bit creepy, it gives the space a dark, velvety vibe that I think some people would really like. However, for a higher-end establishment, I found the service to be kind of spotty and not quite up to par. My biggest disappointment was the food, as we ordered two entrées to share and found both to be rather disappointing and honestly kind of bad, which was especially frustrating given how expensive they were. While it might have just been the specific dishes we chose, the combination of high prices, underwhelming food, and inconsistent service means I likely won't be back, even if the unique atmosphere was interesting to see once.
