I have been using Angelos for 15 years. If I find a very cool mid century modern piece of furniture and it needs new upholstery or new foam I have Angelo's do the upholstery. The prices and quality of work is really good and everyone there is super nice. The have fabric samples or you can bring in your own fabric. I just recently had my couch re upholstered and I am very happy with how it came out. They have a small shop but don't let that fool you. If you want excellent hand crafted work, I highly recommend Angelo's Upholstery in North Hollywood. They also use the better foam in their work. There is a big difference between good foam and bad foam. read more

John responded Immediately with a quote unlike any of the other companies I called. He gave us a completely reasonable price and several different options. I love my couch. It has served me well and I love the design. I have had it for almost 20 years though and considering the multiple friends who have crashed on it over the years- it was looking worn and the foam was pretty beaten up. Thanks to Yelp, I found Angelo's. Responsive, friendly, honest, accommodating and the end product was well executed and has made me very very happy. John always had a smile at the ready and followed up with every question. He was very honest about the condition of my couch and the work that would need to be done. He pointed out that I could buy another couch for the same price. As I said earlier, this couch is irreplaceable to me. Found this hidden gem on yelp!! It didn't have many reviews but the few that they had were wonderful, and I know exactly why!! 5 stars on customer service, Angelo was a doll and helped me right away when I got there. He didn't even laugh at me when I told him I wanted to redo the upholstery on my dogs bed! Lol . He helped me pick out the material ( black suede ), gave me an amaaaaaaaaazing price and told me it would be ready in a week. He called me the same day and told me my puppy can sleep like a king again!!! Not only was it super fast, the quality was spectacular !! I'm a big fan of Angelo's Upholstery! I brought John his very first motorcycle seat to re-upholster way back in 2002 or so because my motorcycle was just too tall, so shaving and re-upholstering the seat made a big difference in being able to get my boots on the ground. John has since done countless motorcycle seats and in 2016 I am still sending people his direction. I'm a motovlogger known as 'Spacep0d' on YouTube and have just recommended him in my latest test of the 2015 BMW S1000RR...which is a beautiful but TALL bike. A lot of riders who don't feel comfortable on their steeds could benefit from John's excellent work, especially since he also works by mail. 5 Stars and a big thumbs-up from me! What can I say other than WOW!!! I am happy as a clam right now! I accidentally found this gem while I was in the neighborhood, and thought I would walk over to inquire about a sofa project that needed my attention... John was amazingly helpful and walked me through the entire process of how to achieve what I wanted - new slipcovers for my pretty new white slipcovered twill sofa, which was too white and getting too dirty too fast - I ended up getting a really beautiful textured and washable off white fabric so that I could wash these slipcovers as well. John and Angelo made every part of this process simple and wonderful.. John gave me some tips on where to go to find the fabric, then, they picked up the sofa when they said they would, and before I knew it, it was done so much quicker than I had anticipated - because they had noticed that I would not really have a comfy place to sit without this sofa... so thoughtful! Needless to say, the work that Raoul did was not only beautiful, but beyond my expectations - just totally couture!!! I am so impressed with Angelo's Upholstery! They are the real deal - old school service, kindness and quality with an amazing finished product!. If I could, I'd give them ********** 10 stars! ;) I guess you could say that I recommend them highly. The one thing I would definitely recommend is to get a little extra yardage, just in case - you never know - Raoul was able to make extra details that the other sofa covers left out thanks to having that extra bit. We had a large tear in one of our leather couch cushions. John at Angelo's asked us to simply email him a picture of the damage (as opposed to have to bring it by first) and he replied with a quote, detailing how he would fix and and a very reasonable price. We dropped off the cushion, got to meet John (super nice guy!) and a few days later (actually a day sooner than quoted) he had it fixed. Great craftsmanship and excellent communication throughout. So, I have this baseball stitched couch that I have had for 8 years. My labrador spent his last 5 years on the left side cushion, lounging, slobbering, enjoying labrador life. Needless to say, the stitches had come undone years ago. While living in San Diego in 2007, I had someone come out to give me a quote on repairs. I was told that I might as well get a new couch, it would be too expensive to try to repair. Boo hoo. Flash forward to a month ago.
