One of the seats on my couch had started sagging because the support fabric underneath had pulled away from the frame. Mike reattached the support fabric, added extra wood supports for reinforcement, and made sure everything was secure. Honestly, I thought I was going to end up needing a new couch, so I was pretty excited when he was able to fix it. The couch feels great now and the sagging is completely gone. I recently had Mike repair a dining room chair which was part of an 80 year old solid-oak dining room set that belonged to my parents. Over time, the joints of the chair had loosened up to the point where it was no longer safe to use. I had previously hired someone else to repair and refinish the chair, but unfortunately the repair didn't last. Mike took the chair to his shop and painstakingly cleaned up and re-glued each joint, then added much stronger steel brackets than the ones previously installed. The chair is now rock solid and by far the best of the set. Although I've already given Furniture Master a five star review for the repair done on my loveseat, I'm so pleased with the outstanding work done on this chair that I feel an additional review is warranted. This repair was by far the best money spent in recent memory. We've had a leather livingroom set in the family for close to 20 years that was hard to let go of for sentimental reasons. After shopping for a month for a new couch, I was unimpressed with what was out there. I decided to look into refurbishing my Natuzzi Italian leather sofa I bought way back in 2005. It's an 18 year old sofa, and the leather was still in excellent shape, and I didn't even own it for 7 of those years. My old roommate had it, and gave it back to me last year. But you could tell that the foam had compressed over the years, and the back leather was really sagging on the back. Trouble is, all the cushions are sewn to the frame, so it's really not an easy fix. You'd have to take the entire sofa apart to re-stuff the cushions. Mike came over and looked at both my sofas. He gave my brown sofa a nice clean and conditioning (also leather, but only 7 years old). Looks Fabulous, and feels nice and smooth. Mike scheduled a time to come back and tackle the black sofa. It took him about 4.5hrs, and the sofa feels like it did when I first got it. He added new webbing under the seat cushions, and added new foam and batting to the seat back so freshen everything up. The leather has been pulled tight again, and it's going to last me another 18 years. Probably longer. Mike was so knowledgeable about sofas and furniture, he definitely gave me a lot of good, wise advice about what sofa brands to stay away from (Ashley Furniture) and which ones are defiantly worth the money (Lay-z-Boy). When you repair them, you learn which is good ,and which are bad. Very happy with the results and would for sure highly recommend. read more

I consulted with quite a few furniture repair companies before choosing Furniture Master, and I'm so glad I did! I have a desk that was damaged during a move and additionally chewed up a bit by my pet, as well as a coffee table whose finish was damaged significantly by a leaking bottle - both pieces of furniture I love, and that I really didn't want to replace (it's worth noting that it's often more financially reasonable to replace damaged furniture under a certain price bracket, as the repairs can often cost as much as or even more than the furniture itself). But Mike's rate for repairing the desk was extremely reasonable and within my budget, so I decided to go ahead and schedule that particular repair with him. He noted he'd have to inspect the coffee table in person to give me a quote, which was fine by me. Mike repaired my desk beautifully and speedily (the job took under an hour). It looks brand new again - you'd never even know it was damaged! He additionally quoted me a very reasonable refinishing rate for my coffee table, so I plan to schedule that with him soon (although that will need to be sent to his shop, as it's a full refinishing job). I thought for sure I was going to need a new couch! My power recliner was stuck in the reclined position and the power button stopped working. I put in a request on Yelp and Mike answered right away and was able to come by that day to take a look at it. He determined that it needed a new power control and he needed to order that part.
