We got a quote also to see how much it would cost to move it inside the garage. Luckily, they gave us a very good price on a brand new unit inside my garage with PEX plumbing. So this past winter I wasn't worried about my water softener freezing because it was inside my garage protected from the elements. While they were working on that I asked them about a reverse osmosis water filtration system. They were able to replace my existing set up and I asked them to hook it up to my refrigerator as well. So I do not have to replace the refrigerator filter and I get reverse osmosis water chilled and ice! They call once a year to replace the filters and with labor it's just a little more than Amazon.

We were looking for a company to install a Reverse Osmosis water system in our home. We contacted…read moreNew Gen Plumbing and Jose was here the next day to provide a bid on the project. We also asked that they include pricing on replacing the main household water valve located in the laundry room. Their quote was very reasonable and the work was scheduled. Jose and his assistant installed the RO system, connecting it to both the kitchen faucet and the refrigerator ice maker. They also replaced the main water valve. This included cutting out, replacing and painting sheetrock around the valve. All work was done flawlessly. After a month or so, we noticed the RO system occasionally making a high-pitched squealing sound. We contacted New Gen and Jose came out to trouble shoot the issue. He discovered that one of the manufacturer's system components was not working properly and was able to remedy the situation. He even took time to measure and show us the quality of the water that the system was producing. The level of professionalism and technical capability of Jose and the New Gen team was exceptional. We highly recommend New Gen and will call them for any of our future plumbing needs.

I explained that I was curious as to which method they employ in order to produce the water. At first he assumed I wanted to buy my own filtration system but then I had to explain that I just wanted to know what kind of filtration and treatment is done to the water. He immediately seemed upset, frustrated with me, and hostile at the same time. Pointed to the filtration system going across the wall and said look all this is how. I asked plainly if it was reverse osmosis, ultraviolet, carbon??? Before I could even finish my question he cut me of and said yea it's the osmosis. He grew more and more impatient with me in a store completely empty at that moment. So I thanked him for his time and went on my way. I was surprised and a little disappointed. The main reason I really wanted to know is that I had read an article stating that some water can be over purified leaving it devoid of minerals and other necessities of water, when consumed this water could take away from your supply of minerals in your body, or so I read. I hope the owner can be more respectful and informative to his customers. As I hear I am not the only person who has had the same experience.

A hole was required to be drilled into the granite above my sink to fit the RO faucet and after the install, the faucet looked it came with the place! The install underneath the sink and the cabinet next to fridge was done very cleanly which maximized the amount of the cabinet I am able to use. The installers were cordial and went as far as to perform the water drain needed through the filter for me so I didn't have to sit there with glasses and constantly dump them in the sink. All around, it was a very good experience.
