My husband tried to fix it but accidentally made it worse, and at that point we didn't know what to do since it was already late at night. We called Carey Plumbing, and to our surprise Michael came out at 11 PM! 10-3-23: I had a couple tubs and toilet that would not drain so we called Roto-Rooter. They came…read moreout and tried but were unable to clear the drain. They showed me a video from inside the pipe and said I had a broken drain pipe under my foundation. I could not see what he was saying was a broken pipe, but he insisted that we needed to have it repaired by tunneling under the house. He charged me $687 for unsuccessfully attempting to clear the drain, and gave me a proposal for $15,000 to do the tunneling repair. I decided to have another company come and give a second opinion. They cleared the drain within an hour with no indication of a broken pipe and charged me far less than Roto-Rooter. I've tried calling no less than a dozen times to speak to the manager of the local branch, left my info several times and was told I'd get a call back soon. This never happened. ***UPDATE 10-12-23 - I finally got a call back from the manager today. I reviewed the issue with him and he agreed to give me a full refund and apologized for the issue. Originally had this at a 1 star, but they did the right thing.
