This was first time going here the owner/barber was on point with the costumer service. He was respectful and cut my hair the way I ask him to (unlike some barbers who freestyle, even though you ask them not to ). I won't lie I'm picky about my hair, and he did pretty good job. During the haircut someone called and instead of going off for a 10 minute conversation he informed whoever called him he was with a client. You don't find many good ol barbers like this anymore. If it wasn't for the dude Sam who cut my hair I would have given it one star. One star subtracted for the price, my hair had a bit of long so I was told it was gonna be extra so I thought "what's another 5 dollars right? Nope. All together the cut was $22 which in my opinion is too much for 30 minutes of work but whatever. Now what made me rate the 2 stars was because of an older barber. When I came in he was the only one working & he was finishing up a gentleman's hair cut, he took off the paper from his neck & brushed him off & at that moment another man came in who was obviously a friend of his because he acknowledged him by name & asked him his how he was doing. He then proceeded to stand behind the man who's hair he was cutting & wasted 30 minutes cutting air around his head just to kill time so that I would get Sam when he finished & he could get his friend. Really? Poor dude kept getting phone calls & he would say "just a few more minutes" that happened like twice, the barber didn't care though. Talk about work ethics, if you don't want to work on somebody at least have the decency to say "my worker is going to take care of you when he's done I'm going to help this man here" I wasn't going anywhere either way So if you're gonna come here ask for Sam he's great & he uses actual razors for detail which I personally haven't seen too much; I personally won't be returning read more

My Hub and my two toddlers got their haircuts here today. This place is old school and these guys know what is up! The shop had three barbers and each one of my guys had their seat at the same time. I wish I had my camera. Watching these guys cut hair is hypnotizing. Skilled! My 2 yr old is shy and had some tears. His barber gave him dum-dum lollies and dried his tears. Awwww! Patient and kind. I hear he is well known for this so take your younguns there for sure! My 4 yr old looks like Elvis 1956. So cool! My Hub has a weird egg shaped head and they knew how to cut it short and make it look GOOOOOD. The pomade is the bomb! Smells like heaven. I LOVE this SHOPPE! 10 bucks a head. Pomade is 10 bucks too. This was probably the most expensive haircut I ever got. I went here a few times and each time the price kept increasing. 15, 20 and now yesterday 30. I admit the barber did a decent job but came home and noticed hair cut was not even. I usually give 10 dollar tips but the fact he went straight for 30 dollars for a fade that took 30 minutes seems a little steep. I'm a property manager for a apartment down the street and will let all my tenants know on barbers work. Whats kind of sucks about the experience too was he was on his phone while giving me a haircut half the time (He was using his bluetooth devise). Been looking for a barber shop ever since I had surgery and now have a somewhat large scar on the back of my head. After looking on Yelp I saw Angel's and they were one of the very few places that had a high rating, pictures of designs, great reviews, and just actual pictures of their work. Most places just had pictures of their logo or their shops and that wasn't a great sign to me. So going into Angel's the guys working were SO nice and extremely helpful. After telling them about my surgery and what I wanted they talked to each other and figured out what was best and I just let Allen do what he wanted design wise. I just wanted something sick and that's exactly what I got. He was so great, and really gentle and cautious around my scar area which was really wonderful. Go here, it's close, they're great, and Allen is super talented but I bet all of them are seeing as how people kept coming in and waiting for the other guys to finish with their clients so they could be next. Sam had me step right into the barber's chair and then asked me several questions about how I wanted my hair cut. Seemed like normal barber banter, but it turned out he was trying to figure out exactly how I wanted my hair cut as my previous barber quite literally hacked my hair (that hack was in Phoenix, AZ). After determining my desired look, he went to work, crafting my cut into a fade masterpiece! I have had family and strangers tell me how great my hair looks! Sam used a new razor that he opened in front of me (thanks, man - lotta love on that one) and when finished splashed on an antibacterial lotion that smelled very manly! I was just passing thru Spring Valley visiting my son and daughter-in-law and grandson and actually live in the Kansas City, KS area, but Sam will be my GO TO BARBER when I visit family again. When I first walked into angels shop I sat and waited till I got a spot , Sam the barber introduced him self and noticed I was a new customer. I started with a taper to a comb over to slicking back my hair and also lining up my beard and stash so for now it's been about 3 months that I've been getting cuts by Sam and he knows what I want and actually he remembers the clients haircuts witch I liked but other then that I personally have a cousin that works at the chop shop in c.v and his cuts don't come as close to Sam 's quality cuts , This is my one stop shop and you should try it out make it yours as well.
