After our long and exhausting day, to have these folks offer to extend their long and I'm sure equally exhausting day for us was just ... awesome. Hi Everyone! I recently used angel's to cater my Family Reunion in Panama City Florida. I was planning from Ny but I really wanted to use a local caterer. I received multiple quotes as an event planner professionally and his prices were really hard to beat! My family loved their food it was so amazing and tasty. Best BBQ ever! My family is a black family from the south and we're hard to impress. Trust! We couldn't have asked for more. Besides that, service was outstanding and they went above and beyond for us. It felt like we were working with a close family friend or family not a business. They didn't cut any corners and we got so so so much food for the money. Much more than we needed! My family loves this BBQ. The service is superb and the food is outstanding and the portions are more than you can eat at one setting. I agree with Rick M. in that the brisket is the best ever. No place in Bay County has such great brisket. The only thing wrong with this place is that it is on the other side of town from where we live. We would definitely enjoy Angel's much more if it was closer to where we live. However, it IS worth the drive to get there. SO treat yourself and your family to Angel's. I had them cater my wedding at Double J Farms and it was amazing!! All my guests were so impressed and my family and I could not have been happier with our choice. He handled everything for dinner, which was right on time and all my guests were full and happy the rest of the night. We did not waste the leftovers either. Too good to not eat. Treated my in-laws to this when they came to town. They said it was the best BBQ they have ever eaten. They especially loved the brisket and smokey cheddar potatoes. And the sin deepened when the "mashed potatoes" turned out to be so watery they could practically be served in a cup. I mentioned it to the waitress, who explained, "We use a mix of instant and real potatoes." OH‑kaaay. My response: "Way too much water." Meanwhile, I'm wondering where the butter and cream went. For reference: I took a skinny straw and actually sucked the potatoes through it. That's how thin they were. The vegetables, however, were genuinely delicious -- classic Southern style and well prepared. A surprise hit: the fried hoecakes. Imagine Jiffy sweet corn muffin mix dropped by the scoop full into the fryer. Oddly enough, they were even better dipped into the "brown" gravy (which tasted suspiciously like modified yeast extract). Look, I understand stretching product and using convenience items. But if you're going to cut corners, do it on pre‑slicing the desserts -- not on the core of a Southern plate.
