I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries and a drink (combo for $14.99) and my husband had a smoked sausage with spicy slaw. YUMMY! The pulled pork had the perfect amount of smokiness and was so moist! Fries were slightly crunchy - could use a bit more seasoning on them. My hubby loved the smoked sausage as well. He said most restaurant chef's don't know how to smoke sausages, but they have an amazing chef named Michael who is a master of smoking BBQ and he has that special touch for delicious food! My husband and I each ordered a pulled pork sandwich. My husband had the baked beans & I had the loaded potato salad. He gave a thumbs up for the beans and the potato salad was delicious! Local place run by local people. I waited a couple months for them to get their system down before I ordered from there. I ordered the pulled pork and sliced brisket, by the pound. When I got home I opened them up and the pork was fine but the brisket was shredded. I have never seen this. I'm a Florida boy and this is not something I have seen. I asked for sliced and the shredded version looks more like pot roast. It was pricey (being brisket), so I called the shop and spoke with Mgr Mike. He explained they have both and I got the wrong version. He made it right by offering me the sliced version at a time of my choosing on the house. The pulled pork was fine. Last night I went back and got the sliced with no issue whatsoever. The staff could not be more helpful and they are quite welcoming when you walk inside. My family had sliced brisket last night and it was very good, with a great smoky flavor and a nice bark as the photo reflects. read more

We passed by just coming through town on our vacation trip to PCB area. Good atmosphere small spot off the road so we had to check it out. Brisket was moist and FHA's a good smoke flavor Also tried the bbq pork sandwich very moist don't need much sauce but when you do add the sauce it just enhances the flavor. We got the regular bbq sauce but they also Had a few other flavors. The young lady serving us also offers to give us a sample of anything we wanted before we purchased . If you are in Panama City Beach and was a fast easy launch this is the place to go. Inexpensive and good. Interestingly enough, the dining room is next-door and you have to walk outside into another structure. They do have full-service and the main structure is for ordering takeout only it seems. We ordered several different needs and they were all good. The stand out was the brisket which was excellent. The service was awesome and the people who work there are super friendly. read more

My husband and I were in Panama City recently and passed Major's Smokehouse on a drive to play tennis. We stopped for lunch on the way back. The two owners were there and the smoker was going full blast. I love smoked brisket and pulled pork. They combined the two into a beautiful sandwich that was so flavorful. My husband had one of their combo plates. SO GOOD! We also tried another BBQ place in the PCB area. It didn't compare with Major's. Smokehouse and BBQ are two very different things. Even if you have to go out of your way, it's worth the drive. You won't be disappointed. read more

This is one of those "I've driven by this place many times and haven't stopped in" restaurants...I'm glad I did! I had the barbecue sandwich (recommendation from the waitress & macaroni and cheese)and a sweet tea. Both were very good and they sat a small picture of sweet tea on my table for me to drink as needed. Plenty of napkins and wet and wipes and three different sauces were available on my table which was very clean. The only reason why I didn't rate this place five stars is because the price... You can't get better BBQ than this right here!!!! The smoky smell that hits you when you're driving down the road makes you turn the car (or penguin truck) around and find where it's coming from. My wife and I are from Texas and are very familiar with barbeque. This very well could be the best barbeque we have ever had. All wasn't perfect though. The outside of the restaurant is a mess. Mainly just needed mowing and picking up. I don't hold that too much against them because of the hurricane, but still.... The prices were a little high, but I think I can get over it because of the great ribs. Prices cost one star. Service was excellent and very friendly. We will go back. read more

It's really tough to find good BBQ joints that actually know REAL BBQ but majors has set the bar in this area. Clean place, friendly environment, and awesome food at a great value. I tried the BBQ sandwich and was amazed at the flavor the meat had. I wasn't too impressed with the sauce even though it was the mustard base I've been trying to find in this area but that's ok. Putting any sauce on that sandwich no matter how good would have been criminal given the amount of flavor already packed into their BBQ! What a great little gem. Stopped by on Memorial Day to pick up some pulled pork to take home, We ended up getting pork, hot slaw, baked beans, potato salad, and banana pudding. Possibly the best pulled pork ever. The beans and potato salad are great too and the hot slaw has a bite but doesn't set your mouth on fire. The banana pudding is pure love! We were looking for barbecue today and Major's came up,this is the best in Panama City and Panama City Beach. The brisket is great and the sides are excellent. The location on base is eh. The pulled pork had no smokey flavor at all, I'm pretty sure it was just cooked in a crockpot, I had to drown it in bbq sauce. The potato salad was good. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can... Not happy paying $10 for eh bbq read more

We ate there last night. Meat was tough and fatty. They did not tell my wife there was bacon in the potato salad even though she asked. She is very allergic to pork and had a severe reaction. Didn't have to go to the emergency ward but fortunately we got Benadryl to open her airway Do not recommend. read more
