The owner is very knowledgeable about "how to" manage hair and what to do depending on your situation and hair type. She is accommodating and wants to be sure you are 100% happy and satisfied. What a funny and kind hearted lady. The haircut didn't quite look like the photo brought in as an example, but her prices are reasonable for the area and she has decades of experience. And sadly TAZ did not help the situation by giving me false promises about what she will do and what she was about to do. Just because I was unaware about beading... doesn't mean that if I asked for something done right she should withhold information from me and tell me my times up, right ? The vibe inside this place reminded me of how hair salons used to feel 20 years ago (at least on the mainland). Hair stylists chit chatting with another, joking, smiling, laughing. Hair salons used to feel so chill, personal and familial like that. These days everything feels very corporate and structured and it made me realize how much I miss that kind of feeling. Anyway, let's get back to the haircut! Somehow, we really lucked out. The stylist was just fantastic (sorry I forgot her name!). She was an absolute pro and made our little guy look like a very young Bradley Cooper (and, he did great too). He was super comfortable around her, and we are very sad she doesn't live closer.
