Though she did say that if you want a coloring service and haircut done at the same time to call in and schedule to make sure there's enough time allotted. (The online scheduling only allows you to book one service at a time and will ask you to change stylists for each service if they aren't available which would be odd to switch mid hair makeover ) I had a haircut and blow dry with Carly, the owner, and she was amazing. She seemed to know exactly what to do with my hair even though I didn't lol ‍ She had great tips and she knew exactly what I wanted. She was super personable and we chit chatted during the entire cut. She was super professional and I really enjoyed my experience. My hair came out awesome and she made the haircut experience top notch. She even suggested a product and provided me a small sample to try on my hair wavy which I thought was definitely going above and beyond! I will definitely be back for all of my hair cutting and coloring needs! Definitely check her and the other ladies out at the salon :)

My wedding was back in Sept of 2022 and for me to now write a review shows how much of an impact they've made in my special day. I told them three things- I didn't want my ear to be sticking out, I didn't want my hair blowing in my face or sticking on me from the humidity and I'm very particular with the shape of my eyebrows. I spent days on Pinterest looking at different hair styles on how to hide my ear but the team took my inspo pictures and did their own thing, making it better than I can imagine. For any bride that's stressing out on finding the perfect team to do your hair and makeup, trust me when I say you can't go wrong with the MAB team. They really go above and beyond to do their part in making you look and feel fab as well as your whole bridal group. I recently got married on Maui and worked with Kymberly Marr, owner of Makeup and Talent Hawaii for my bridal makeup and hair. My wedding coordinator recommended Kymberly and from our first interaction I knew I was in good hands! Kymberly is such a sweet and genuine person and I felt like she really cared that I looked my best on my wedding day. My husband and I live in Indiana, and so I must admit, it was a little scary to plan the wedding long distance since we did not have the luxury of meeting with anyone in person. Although we couldn't meet before the wedding, Kymberly was great about communicating with me to ensure I had a chance to share my vision and to put me at ease. I appreciated that she reached out to me about two months before the wedding to ask for pictures and to allow me plenty of time to scour pinterest and her website for ideas on what I wanted for my bridal hair and makeup. She communicated all the details I needed in advance to ensure I knew what time she and her stylist would arrive and to ensure there were not any delays. The morning of the wedding, she and her hairstylist, Oona, arrived promptly as expected and stayed on schedule so that I was not rushing (we had an early morning ceremony). I had told Kymberly that I normally don't wear a lot of makeup, and she did a great job of making me look beautiful without going overboard. Oona, her stylist, also did a great job making my hair look beautiful and I appreciated her making sure my hair would stay in place, as it was quite windy that morning! A lot of things went wrong right before the wedding including a last minute cancellation 2 days before the wedding for the hair and make up artist we hired several months before. Fortunately, it was a pretty intimate wedding so I was the only one who needed it (my mother took care of my sister/maid of honor). I called Macy's they recommended Kym but they weren't sure if she'd be available so they passed my info onto her. She got in touch with me shortly after to get more info and was able to find a hair stylist to assist her. I was so grateful! Not just that but I was worried because we had a set idea how we wanted my hair and make up to look which our other stylist couldn't quite get but these ladies NAILED IT! They gave me a chance to see the finished product and I straight up said, "THAT'S what I wanted!". They even sent me home with a straw and a touch up kit because they knew I'd be running around all day. The hair stylist even taught me how to help my hair survive the day. It was a mad rush the moment I left the chair so I'm so glad it was Kym folks that dolled me up! I'm so sorry, I forgot the hair stylist's name but she is the cool kid with the new bunny named 'James Bun' and she did an awesome job as well! With a bit of effort and by the grace of God the hair and make up DID survive the day! Thank you folks so much again!!! read more

My husband and I exchanged our wedding vows in Maui on a sail boat on May 25, 2014. Sounds romantic, right? It was until the rain came pouring down and there was no escaping it! There are no words to express how grateful I was that Kymberly Marr of Makeup and Talent Hawaii did my wedding makeup because she had the good sense and foresight to use airbrush makeup on me. Not only did my skin look flawless (which is especially a feat given that I struggle with severe adult acne), but the makeup held up beautifully in spite of the heavy wind and rain that washed over us on the boat for a full hour! As a bride, the rain could have been devastating to experience during an outdoor wedding. But thanks to the skillful ability of Kymberly Marr, my makeup stayed in tact and the wedding photos that were taken after the rain finally stopped show no signs of washed up makeup! It was such a pleasure to work with Kymberly on our big day!!! She was very welcoming, professional and did an AMAZING job on my make-up and eyelashes for my wedding. She also airbrushed and did touch-ups on my husband which was great for our photos. Her fun personality, ease to work with and quality of work helped to reassure that our choice to get married in Maui was one of the best decisions we could have made, since our family and friends weren't with us. The most amazing part of our entire experience (because there are many great moments I could leave in this review, but will keep it simple-ish) was that after leaving my bouquet at her studio, Kymberly went out of her way to drive to the beach where our ceremony was being held to deliver my bouquet! Minutes into our ceremony, when I realized I had left it, I was so bummed out. Yet, just a few moments into our photo session, Kymberly comes running down the beach with my bouquet in hand!!! 5 Stars and more! If you are looking for hair and makeup services, book with Kymberly! You have to put a lot of trust into things when having a destination wedding, not getting a trial run and for an early morning wedding like we did, relying on someone to be there for you at 6am! My expectations were exceeded! I liked that her service gave you the option of them coming to you, making the morning so much easier. It was great to be able to correspond via email with quick, professional and what felt like caring responses from the first email forward. Kymberly and her hair stylist, Bri, were on time and ready to go. She had my notes with her from our initial conversations, but both of them still checked in as we went to make sure I was happy. They were both friendly and fun to talk with. Hair and makeup were exactly what I wanted, and both held up perfectly through the day and evening. I was making some pretty last minute plans to travel to Maui and wanted to surprise my wife with a makeup session and photo shoot. Kymberly worked with me over email with very little time to spare to make the surprise a reality! She helped me find and arrange a photographer as well. I was traveling and secretly emailing her while touring Maui. Let's just say I was a terrible at staying in touch and didn't really know for sure what my plans were. Despite all of this, Kymberly stuck with me to the point of finalizing the plans the night before and then getting up at 6am to be ready for us, not even sure if we were going to show up. Please, I wouldn't recommend doing this to poor Kymberly... but I did and she was incredibly accommodating! When it came to the actual session, she was so kind and friendly and gave my wife a wonderful experience. I am so grateful. My wedding planner gave me a list of make up artists to choose from and after looking at them all, I chose Kymberly. She made all the women look so beautiful while keeping their look natural which is what I liked. She did the same for me! I also liked how attentive she was before we had even met. She wanted the details of my veil, how I wanted my hair and gave me options of airbrushing and lashes among other things. She even offered to bring flowers for my hair from her garden!! She was so cute and kind and kept reminding me to use SPF and not burn my face before the wedding. She arrived early with her hairstylist. She gave me some recommendations for skin care and even gave my mother-in-law a free sample of some eye cream. She really just goes above and beyond. I met Kymberly Marr in Maui the morning of my wedding on July 26, 2015. Kymberly was recommended to me by Wendee of Pink Pineapple Salon, who styled my hair prior to meeting Kymberly for my make-up. Wendee was recommended to me by the Receptionist at The Royal Mauian Condo Resort in Kihei. Kymberly just got it. Being a mature bride I didn't want to look too made up, but certainly wouldn't say NO any camouflage I could get that was somewhat natural. Kymberly was professional, but with a great sense of humour and lots of advice on making me look beautiful for my special day. my husband and i had planned a sunset photo shoot while visiting maui and i wanted these images to be perfect for print for our home, so i asked the photographer for recommendations for a makeup artist. I got Kymberly Marrs name and as i looked through her portfolio i was so impressed with her resume i contacted her. She asked about the shoot and what i was looking for so i sent her some images as samples. On the day of the shoot we went over the images i had sent to her and she came up with some ideas that ended up being exactly what i was looking for. Her skills are insane! Kymberly was amazing! My husband and I had a destination wedding in Maui in June. It was actually our first time to visit and I know it won't be our last. Maui is incredibly beautiful, like a dream! I was a bit nervous to get my hair and makeup done for my big day, not having a trial run beforehand. I brought a picture of what I wanted my makeup to look like and Kymberly did just that! She was very sweet and personable. She put me at ease, especially when I saw the results! I did airbrushed makeup since our wedding was at sunset on the beach near our room. When I went to Maui I did a swimwear photoshoot and heard about Kymberly through a photographer, both are very well known in maui for their talented work. We met in the morning and she was punctual and friendly. Not only was she a pleasure to work with, but she did an amazing job with my makeup. I found Kymberly Marr after an exhausting online search with just two weeks before my wedding. I was drawn to her style of making her clients look natural, but glamorous. She did exactly that! It was a wonderful experience to have Kymberly and her associate take care of me and my daughter for our 20th anniversary vowel renewal. Given that we live in Houston, our initial visits were by phone. I sent photos of the dresses to help them with ideas. We had an early morning ceremony scheduled to avoid the crowds. Kym was amazing! She was recommended by my hair stylist, as I wanted airbrush foundation so that I would look flawless on my big day! :) I am SOOO happy I went with the airbrush foundation because the results were gorgeous!! I did my research, and thought that Jessica's pricing was very reasonable, and that her work resembled what I was looking for. With less than a week heads up, she was able to coordinate a time for my hair and makeup, and was so accommodating! I was very happy with the results after she was complete, but the real test came for the actual engagement shoot where we were on the beach getting splashed with ocean water, and battling wind. I have VERY fine blonde hair, and every piece stayed in place (and it was down in loose curls!), and my makeup look like it had just been put on despite hours in humid/wet conditions --- I was floored! Obviously with such a great experience, I booked her and her team for our wedding date once we settled on a venue. The results on our wedding day were nothing short of what I expected. She guided me through the process of how to do multiple (1 bride, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a groom's service) people's hair/makeup within tight timeframe, and even was able to take on an extra person for hair, and a groomsmen for a touchup last minute! My five bridesmaids are seasoned bridesmaids, in weddings spanning from Napa, to Palm Springs, to Italy and beyond and they all unanimously agreed that was HANDS DOWN the best hair/makeup experience they have ever had. The airbrush make up worked in humid Maui conditions all day, and with a variety of hair lengths/texture everyone was pleased with the results. It speaks to her expertise that she could put on my eyelashes all while the hotel staff climbed ladders to fix the A/C, room service fluffed the pillows and bedding, dropped off a celebratory bottle and chocolates. She kept telling me we would later laugh about it and she's right. Aside from some general requests on how I wanted my hair and makeup to look, I trusted her to do her thing and she delivered. I went with wavy curls because I wore a flower crown. I'm always skeptical of curling my hair because it never holds but it held up beautifully even in the Maui heat. The airbrush makeup is amazing.
