I also have a bit of hairdresser anxiety/have always been worried about cuts too short, wrong hair color, high pricing etc but Rowena spends time with you PRIOR to understand what results you're aiming for and she's very honest in terms of how she can help achieve them or recommend a different path that may suit your face shape/hair type better etc. She's very straight forward, a welcomed trait as I haven't had great experiences in the past with other stylists. I also have 2 daughters who visit Rowena as their go to for super elegant styles... as a Mom I know I can trust her to meet all of their teen ideas in the middle...I'm always blown away by Ro's classy cuts & epic coloring all while keeping it on the more natural looking side (a big relief for Mom's or Dad's who may be a bit worried about sending their kids to a stylist). What better place to get a beach wave than across from the beach on Maui? Kaleo really understood the type of perm I wanted and did a fantastic job on my hair. She trimmed and shaped and permed. After my perm, she did some additional trimming to give me the exact shape I wanted. She was very pleasant and we had a great chat while she worked on me. I left feeling that she was my friend as well as my hair stylist. Now that I'm home I can "wash and wear" my perm and it is perfect. Precisely what I was after.
