We had hired Mr. Ramirez & his crew to do work for us on different projects over the past 6 years…read more(AT OUR building downtown) and he did a nice job, with us PAYING HIM EVERY DIME THAT HE BILLED US FOR, which at times was VERY EXPENSIVE and way more than reasonable. But we paid him because we wanted a nice job done. HOWEVER, .... Recently we hired Mr. Ramirez to do work at our Building on a remodel project, which included: 1) caulking & painting wall & door trim, priming, texturing and painting walls etc., AND, we also hired him: 2) to do work at our Home which included a NEW room addition, leveling, priming and texturing the walls of the new room in orange peel (- to match all the other walls of our home), sanding the texture to remove the large blobs to create the smooth orange peel effect) to caulk and paint the wall and door trim, to sand and paint the new doors of the room, as well as the doors and door trim in the garage area leading into the new room, and to basically do a nice job on everything including the windows sills. To do this work WE PAID HIM IN FULL, A PRICE ABOVE REASONABLE. - Before the work was completed, he demanded to be PAID IN FULL, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, TO DO THIS WORK! AND HE HAS REFUSED TO RETURN TO FIX THE MESS HE LEFT! - AS YOU CAN SEE WE DID NOT GET WHAT WE PAID FOR!! Not only will he not return to our home, he has refused to return to our Building! (which pictures I did not include), even though we have asked Mr. Ramirez to return over 5 times, to repair several walls and paint areas that were not done properly and to fix our screen doors that he and his crew damaged several times and we had to pay to have them replaced and now the trim has to be put on a painted and he refuses to return!! Further, as to our Home room addition project, Mr. Ramirez DID A TERRIBLE JOB AND HE REFUSES TO RETURN to repair the damage he did, UNLESS WE PAY HIM MORE MONEY!! He did not properly level, prime, texture (in orange peel) or paint our new room walls, trim, doors or the living room and garage interior leading into the new room! I am embarrassed to show people. In fact not only is Mr Ramirez's work terrible, his attitude has gone completely downhill. I just went into the room that they worked on to take pictures and I want to cry. My husband made the mistake of paying in full for the job before it was done. And, two weeks ago when my husband asked Mr. Ramirez to return to our home to look at the job and to fix all the problems Mr. Ramirez made him wait 2 weeks to return and when he came out, he purposely did a worse job, and demanded more money to fix what he and his crew did. I mean he PURPOSELY left the room in a worse condition that it was in. Now even though we have tried to communicate with him to return and fix the texturing and sanding and leveling and painting issues he will NOT respond or give us back part of our money so that we can hire someone else to fix the terrible job that he did in our home. Zoom in and Look at the pictures I included. See for yourself. And, this is only SOME OF THE ISSUES!! I would NOT HIRE Ramirez! or his son, - and if you do, don't pay him until the quality of work you paid him for is absolutely completed!! Given how busy our schedules are and how little we know about stucco, we turned to Yelp to get the problem solved. Justin with ABOA was quick to respond to our request and was proactive in providing his availability. He answered all of my questions and put forward a very fair price. Upon coming to perform the job, he was communicative throughout the process and was extremely personable. What really blew me away was how well he was able to fix the bent metal frame, which we assumed was going to permanently look slightly off. He also smoothly patched the stucco and after he was finished, it was as if the damage had never happened. Overall, I enjoyed working with Justin and would definitely recommend him and his team for similar projects! He was friendly, professional, and was able to pull off a seamless repair within just a couple days of my initial bid on Yelp, all at a great price.

He'll quote the work and then takes shortcuts which he assumes his customers won't notice. Any decent painter will spend more time masking off areas and protecting adjacent surfaces from overspray, etc., than the actual painting. James does the opposite and now I have evidence of overspray where it never existed before. James dismissed it saying it was already there. There is no sense of integrity with James. Untrustworthy, unprofessional, and just a lousy person.
