She was losing weight rapidly, her skin was bleeding, and she was going downhill. Dr. Magda is a miracle worker. When I got a puppy, I knew she had to be his vet, too! When my puppy was sick, Dr. Magda successfully cured an intestinal infection with Chinese herbs. We're also seeing Dr. Chau for our second dog, and she is incredible too! She is so intelligent and thoughtful. She even stayed after hours to give us advice and interpret labs for us. I've never had experience like this with another vet. Every single human being at this office is intelligent, caring, and just beyond empathetic. I couldn't recommend them enough. THANK YOU to all of you for doing what you do. You all are incredible!!

Because of the cost, I needed some time before bringing my second cat in. During that time my second cat had a medical emergency -- a urinary blockage. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where the bill escalated quickly since everything was out of pocket. The emergency vet suggested that to save money, they could give me my cat's urine sample so my regular vet could run the lab tests instead of running them at the emergency hospital. I immediately called Holistika Vet because they were the only veterinarian I had an established relationship with. I was extremely distressed and crying because the emergency vet had told me there was a 50% chance my cat might not survive and that follow-up with my regular vet would be important. The receptionist told me it was their policy that they could not see my second cat because he had never been examined there before. I explained that I understood the policy but asked if they could at least run the urine tests (which I would pay for) to help us understand what caused the blockage. Unfortunately, I was told they could not do that either and that the tests would have to be done at the emergency hospital. The conversation felt very cold and unsympathetic during a moment that was extremely frightening for me as a pet owner. Fast forward to February 2026 -- I scheduled an appointment for both of my cats. A few days before the appointment I received an email canceling it, stating they would no longer see my pets because I had given attitude to the receptionist during the emergency call months earlier. I went in person to speak with management to explain the situation and my perspective. I was told they had no record of the conversation but were still refusing future care. For me, the most disappointing part of this experience was the lack of compassion during a very serious emergency and the refusal to even run a test that could have helped guide my cat's care. Thankfully, I have since found another holistic veterinarian in Glendale, California who has been incredibly supportive.

Dr. Bertolone is a member of our family at this point and is a huge reason Virginia is so happy and healthy at her senior age! Highly recommend. She also has helped with vaccines, urine tests, blood tests, and medications including herbs making Virginias medical care as she ages incredibly easy for her. Love, love, love.

She not only welcomed us in with open arms, but she made sure that we and my dog, Mojo, were comfortable before she began. She was calm, caring, and genuine throughout the entire appointment and really explained all our options and what she was doing thoroughly. She started with gently feeling his body and assessing it, quickly noticing that his spine was probably causing him some pain. We moved onto acupuncture, where she explained all the points that she was doing and how it would benefit him. She also had some treats readily available to distract him as the needles were going in! After about 7-9 minutes, you can visibly see Mojo just... relax. Completely calm. Not squirming or fidgeting. It was honestly like magic. She was able to do cold laser therapy while the needles were in and then she whipped out KT tape.. Which I didn't even know you could do on animals! As she taped his spine, she gave us instructions on how to help him up the stairs and to lower his pain in his hind legs. She also suggested that we start cooking his meals as well with turkey and some sweet potato. After she taped him up, we carried him out to the car where he immediately took a little nap. While we were in the car, she came out with a lot of medicine for him to take for his nausea, alongside some inflammatory medicine and Chinese herbs. Within a few hours of taking the Cerenia that she gave us, he was able to keep food down (which hadn't happened for about 4 days before this, he was throwing up everything he ate). Not only that, he was able to sleep without any disturbance and seemed incredibly relaxed. Dr. Bertolone treated us with kindness and genuinely cared for him. We will always be indebted and appreciative to her and cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for her. She is undoubtedly one of the best veterinarians that we've ever encountered.

Honestly, I did not have high expectations for this vet. I do not know the area too well but by driving around, it doesn't look like an area I would be frequenting. I assumed the inside of this place would be like a run down county clinic deep in the trenches of Los Angeles. Which I've had my fair share of experiencing back in the days. I was so wrong! This place is so awesome. The girls at the front desk are so sweet and attentive! I had a lot of questions every visit, I never had a puppy before and I was really anxious about making sure she was healthy. They always answered everything very patiently and had the best attitude. Since I do not live close I would have to call over the phone for vaccination records to enroll my puppy into classes etc and I even changed her name and they'd always answer my calls and email over anything I needed. The customer service has been exceptional. I would come here simply for that alone. They decorated the office so nice, it looks newly remodeled. The waiting lobby is small but comfy. They do not push for any specific food brands which is refreshing. They always call to remind you of an appointment. The people and their dogs that I've seen here all are very friendly and it looks like everyone comes for routine and not because their dogs are sick. I love that! The prices are fair, they're not low by any means but they're not outrageous. I find them to be decent for the services. I really appreciate the care they provided for my girl, she was here quite a few times due to being a puppy. We now go to a place closer to home because I don't live in Los Angeles. It's honestly the only reason. But I highly recommend this place to anyone in LA looking for a good vet!

We kept coming back for the convenient location--until today. I arrived 15 minutes early for my dog's 2:30 PM appointment. At check-in, the front desk (Crystal) asked me to prepay, which was new to me. When I asked what services were included, she said only vaccines. I had previously requested microchipping a week ago, but that wasn't noted. She mentioned a 3 PM cancellation slot, but I told her to hold off since I couldn't stay much longer. After waiting over an hour, I asked a different tech about the delay. Then Crystal blurted she had moved my appointment to 3 PM to include all services--something she NEVER communicated; which I pointed out to her, I asked to speak with a supervisor and continued waiting. We were finally taken to a room, and 15 minutes later (total of 1hr 15min LATER) , the doctor entered and accused *ME* of being disrespectful to her staff--which is completely FALSE. I believe the front staff member BLATANTLY LIED to cover her own condescending and unprofessional behavior. I was upfront with the doctor and encouraged her to review the cameras. As a business owner myself, I know you never put a customer on the defensive--especially when your feelings are hurt because someone called out poor service. That's a training issue, not mine. This experience was not only upsetting but also makes me question how much the doctors enable their staff's mediocrity. The lack of communication, professionalism, and customer service is evident from the moment you walk in. I stand by my word: !!! review the cameras!!! I was never disrespectful--not once.

When it rains, it pours…read more... It seemed in the last month both my personal and professional life has taken center stage in my life (not in a positive note). Life happens to everyone and I'm no different...just learning how to ride the waves as it comes. Nevertheless, I'm noticing that this has taken a toll on my body, mind and spirit. In other words, Sharr is completely off-balanced and need to get back to her center ASAP! I heard about reiki healing and it's effects on the human energetic body. My sister did a reiki healing session last year and saw positive changes in her life. I researched online to look for the best in the area. It was Saturday afternoon when I started calling these businesses and not surprisingly most of them were closed. When I called Linda Graveline (the last number on my list), she answered immediately. Linda was so sweet, friendly and answered all my questions. I made an appointment for a healing session the very next day....cause I was a hot mess! When I arrived I was greeted by her two lovely dogs. As one would expect, Linda's place was peaceful and serene....so zen. Before starting, Linda explained her healling procedure and exactly what to expect during the session. I breifly told her what I was going through and to help focus on a few key areas as she's scanning me through. She put eye covers on me, lit the candles, put on some zen music in the back ground and I was ready to go! When she started the healing beginning from my feet, I remembered feeling the energy buzzing from her hands to my body. The healing was immediate it knocked me out for a few minutes (I snoozed). After that, I was present for the rest of the session and really focused on healing myself. The entire session was one hour and the cost was $125. We briefly talked about my experience and how I felt afterwards. The effects of a reiki healing is immediate. They do recommend that you do several sessions to get aligned energetically. My mind felt a lot clearer and my body was lighter. It seemed a lot of weight (literally) was taken off my shoulders. This does not make my problems go away, but I can tackle on these problems with a clearer and a calmer mind. If you're interested in getting a reiki healing session, I highly recommend Linda Graveline as she is the best in LA.

My father recently suffered a major heart attack and underwent an angioplasty and two stent placements. He was in his first day of recovery following surgery when Linda offered to begin Reiki healing remotely from Los Angeles. Although both my father and I are somewhat skeptics when it comes to energy healing, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the rigorous training she went through and her incredible work ethic. My father agreed and was open to receiving the Reiki so I gave her consent. Within hours of Linda beginning, my father told my mother that he experienced a calming and healing presence without any explanation (he did not know that Linda had begun her Reiki already). The next day, he had an EKG and the results immediately showed that the front muscle affected directly by the artery blockage had recovered (which often does not happen after a heart attack - it often dies leaving the heart permanently weakened). It's impossible to say what factors were involved with his recovery but my father believes (as I do) that Linda's work had a positive impact on his recovery. Open your heart and mind to Linda's services. I can personally attest to her talent, spirit and goodwill.
