We were in the basement of the Equitable Building on Wilshire in Koreatown, and then we saw the tiny room that was bursting with flowers. Angie is a wonderful florist who runs the store with her husband. She speaks perfect Korean and English, and she was the most helpful florist. (She was actually the first vendor I contacted and she helped me to be calm and relax.) Angie made beautiful arrangements, large and small, for a very reasonable price. I called Angie's because I was buying an arrangement for a Korean funeral. My friend's father passed away. He texted me the day of the funeral to say "wow! Those were the nicest flowers at the funeral". It was a $200 "spray" arrangement on an easel. I RECOMMEND YOU BUY YOUR FLOWERS FROM THE LADY ON THE STREET CORNER AND HELP A HOMELESS PERSON AND PAY THEM TO DELIVER THEM instead of using Angie's Flowers I called from the S.F. bay area to this Los Angeles florist which was very close to my my daughters L.A. address in hopes of getting some flowers to her for her birthday on that specific day at 12:02 pm. I put together an arrangement based on what flowers they had left in the shop rather then my first choice of a solid dozen and asked her if she could have the arrangement done in about a half hour. Her response was that "it would be more closer to 1:00-1:30", I told her "that would be okay and would she send me a picture of the arrangement when it is done or call me". After giving her my email address after she tells me that she didn't know how to send a picture through a cell phone, my understanding was that I was to get a phone call and or at the very least an email of the flowers. During the credit card and information part of the transaction she asked me for the number, exact name on the card, zip code, expiration and then she wanted the three digit security code on the back of the card. This should have been my exit with a RED FLAG in my hand, but the task was to get the flowers out. WARNING- if you give this security code to anyone; specifically over the phone, you subject yourself to future credit card or identity theft, because you have no physical confirmation that you have authorized a "one time" transaction, only the purchase price total that comes later on your statement. Don't allow it and learn the hard way as I did years ago. I asked if she could take the flowers to where she was if she wasn't at the physical address I gave her but to another one if after she talked to her, she said "yeah" and proceeded to confirm my purchase price and credit card transaction. She asked me what I wanted to have put on the card and I gave her the correct spelling of my name and the following... "Present two coming soon". No call or email at 2:00 PM. I call and speak to Tony who was the initial person I spoke to and dismissed due to my inability to understand his English. I asked for Angie since I had completed the transaction with her and he told me she wasn't their and was at "her doctors appointment". To make a five minuet conversation short I hung up the with Tony not being able/willing to send me any pictures of the arrangement, not being able/willing to contact Angie and telling her that I was dissatisfied nor having the ability or wanting to send the flowers to my daughters current location. At 2:32 pm Angie calls me and at the end of a 9:02 minuet exchange where I told her I didn't care for the way she conducted business and that I was going to post my experience on YELP. She claims that she could not take the pictures because the camera was in the car and that she was at the doctors, she says she didn't promiss/tell me that she would call me at 1:30 pm and that she spoke to my daughter and that they were going to deliver it on the way home at 6:00 pm. Through out this exchange I tried to point out the reason I had needed a "confirmation" of the delivery and a picture of the flowers was because I had other things arranged to focus around that timely delivery. Angie denied the conversation took place and that it was a "misunderstanding on my part" despite my note on the card and the deposit money I lost for other items that was to be delivered during normal business hours that day. I had to insist that she follow through with the 6 pm delivery now that she had actually spoke to my daughter and it was expected to be at her place of residence, despite the fact that she now wanted to cancel the transaction based on our conversation. not to soon after I get the following email with a picture, note the time. Worst experience ever. I ordered flowers for Valentines day and there was an issue with the price of delivery (it wasn't listed correctly on the site and delivering further was $7, which was I willing to pay). I just got an email from Angie saying that my payment wouldn't work and she "didn't think she could go to Burbank anymore" so she flat out canceled my order and told me to go look in Burbank for a florist.
