Service was amazing, our waitress was hostessing, clearing tables, and waiting on many tables. She made sure we never went without. Spinach Artichoke Dip was good, Ribeye was seasoned perfectly. We tried a cup of the crawfish etouffee and it was excellent. We did not enjoy the cajun pasta, as it was very salty. The noodles and chicken were cooked perfectly, we believe this was just a bad batch of sauce. Overall a great dinner and we look forward to coming back! read more

We have vacationed in Heber Springs yearly since the early 90's I don't no when Anjee's became part of that tradition, but talk about consistent. This is my favorite sit down and order restaurant. Every dish I have ordered has been delicious. My favorite dish is the Country Fried Steak with grilled vegetables. The half and half tea is my drink of choice. The waitresses are busy as can be due to the constant influx of hungry patrons, but they get the food to you quickly while it is hot. Honest review: Service was terrible. Was sat immediately. Ordered water and was brought tea. She took it back. When she came back we ordered our appetizer. The fried pickles were good, not too salty and their ranch was amazing. Received our food. I ordered the Grilled chocked that is smothered. It was good. I also order a salad and fried squash. I received a salad and corn nuggets. My daughter ordered a chef salad and never could het any dressing. We sat there waiting on our server to reappear. Finally was able to get dressing for the salads. Still no squash asked four times for the rest of my order. I asked for Togo boxes, to go cups and before I could get any more words out she asked how we wanted our checks. I still just want my food! I now have to go boxes and waiting on my check and still waiting on the squash. I asked her to take it off my bill and she can't bc it's not individual. The restaurant is family friendly and has a simple southern diner feel. Our server was so sweet and attentive. She made us feel right at home. We had the shrimp étouffée, chicken fried chicken, bacon cheese fries, and crawfish étouffée. Everything was amazing! We will definitely keep this place in mind next time we visit! I am giving this 4 stars for three reasons. First, it is like one of the only places we could find for family dining that is open on Sunday afternoon and they are also open on Monday, unlike most of the restaurants here in Heber Springs. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable and they have the best appetizers I have ever ordered anywhere. We ordered almost all of them. I had never had cheese curds before and I didn't know what I have been missing. I doubt anyone makes them better than they do. I just now read multiple reviews about how wonderful the chicken fried chicken is, but unfortunately all of us ordered chicken fried steak. I get tired of ordering chicken. We eat so much of it that I feel like we are going to grow feathers and start "clucking", so I don't like to order it when we go out, except at KFC. It was OK, but I would not order it again. Arrow's and Cracker Barrel have much better chicken fried steak. The vegetables were pretty bland, almost like they are scared to add any salt or butter due to people's health concerns. They have a nice menu with multiple items and I really believe that there are multiple things people would really like. If not just order all of the appetizers...lol. You will love them. My only major complaint is the service, which leaves a lot to be desired. We barely saw the waitress and it wasn't busy. She acted tired, very low energy and like she hated that she was at work. She however was not rude to us. Unlike other restaurants, none of the customers were smiling or conversing together. It was kind of depressing, but the five of us had fun and enjoyed each other. It makes you wonder if the staff attitudes trickle down to the patrons. I would definitely go back, but we haven't. They definitely need waitresses who smile and make you feel welcome. I do think everyone should try it. I would hate if they closed, because it has one of the biggest dining rooms, down home cooking and they are open more than other restaurants. It is the perfect place for larger families or when you have company to dine out and the prices are reasonable. read more
