Angkla is a boutique hotel containing a reasonably sized restaurant/ beach club and is the very signal that Nacpan Beach is in the midst of commercialization. Despite the over-processed resort aesthetics, it did serve as the perfect pitstop to escape the sun a bit before our ATV ride (1000 PHP). At $400/ night and food that is 2X the price compared to elsewhere, I only recommend for small bites and drinks at the most. My mango shake for 250 PHP was a little small, but serviceable and cold. Also ordered were the Turon dessert (280 PHP) and a Classic Margherita (450 PHP). The turon was kind of a cop out with the 1.5 egg roll and the ice cream popsicles versus scoops of ice cream were non-traditional, but eclectic and fun. It is a bit secluded away being a bit of a walk from the main drag of Nacpan. The hotel contains a very IG-worthy walkway lined with palm trees which is all the aesthetic for that perfect picturesque vacation shot. The restaurant area also has a swimming pool but for hotel guests only I think. read more
