Food was ok. Catfish was delicious. Shrimp was frozen boxed shrimp you buy in the store. Okra was overcooked and hush puppies were also overcooked and dry. They brought back out fresh servings of each that were better. Outdoor dining was really nice and the views were good. The crab cakes were really good too read more

Great experience. Went on Wednesday evening, not crowded at all. Great, friendly server. Very attentive. Food was delicious. I had the sirloin with vegetables (amazing!), daughter had the kids catfish, husband had the catfish sandwich. All great choices and good portions. Wish we had gone during daylight so we could see the river, but the restaurant was really nice inside too. Nice little gift shop too. Had everything from souvenirs and toys to snacks and necessities (little groceries and things). read more

The lightly blackened trout with grilled brussel sprouts was perfect...light but tasty. Great service. A little slow but we were a table of 10. The food was ok. The steak was overcooked and tough. My baked potato had a large burnt section about was too burnt to eat. The sweet tea was excellent and refilled promptly. Good atmosphere and we could have a comfortable conversation. Ron, my server, was excellent. I had the three piece catfish dinner. The fish breading and the fish were under seasoned. The thick breading overwhelmed the fish and had very little taste. The beans were ok, but they, too, needed seasoning. The hushpuppies were dense and not tasty. The sweet pickle relish was good. The deck and surrounding area needs trimming and cleaning up. Overall, I expected much better food and a nicer atmosphere. This was my first (and last) visit. read more

The setting is very nice on the river bank. Very casual family atmosphere. Our servers were very thoughtful but it seemed the restaurant was understaffed which meant the service was a little slow. I had a trout dinner for one meal and a shrimp pasta dish for another. The food was very good. They recently got a liquor license so a full bar is available. It is housed in the building with its other businesses so you can shop in the gift shop or sign up for a river trip if you have a wait. read more

My husband wanted to go to anglers for Father's Day dinner. We went for an early dinner late lunch after church. For appetizers we had the bone-in wings and refried calamari. The wings were very meaty. The calamari was good it's just the batter was just a touch heavy. For entrees I ordered the shrimp Alfredo which was very good I forced everybody. My husband ordered the special of the day which was a t-bone steak. He is not normally a t-bone steak person he's normally a ribeye person but he totally enjoyed the steak. It was a little busy so we were seated at a table in the bar. Sorry I did not catch her name, but the bartender was very attentive and we did not want for anything. We totally enjoyed our meal and of course we'll be back. Also, my husband has decided The one table against the window in the bar is now our table. So I think he liked it too. read more

Fantastic lunch; best meal this week!! We enjoyed a great view of the White River as ate, and tge food was excellent. Our waittress was helpful and attentive, the food was served quickly, and the Lime Margaritas were good! (Also a good beer selection.) The Potato Skin Appetizer has bigger (better) potatoes than most, and it is great. All varieties of catffish, shrimp, & crab cakes were spot-on delicious! The real turn off was upon our leaving we saw one of the waitresses from anders, a heavy set blonde, sitting in her jeep smoking what appeared to be either a Crack pipe or maybe a meth pipe. Actually haven't eaten here yet. I was frustrated that there were no pictures of the menu and I hunted down their menu on their website, which wasn't easy either. But here are my photos of their menu. I want to add; incase it gets missed, another person states that their "Loaded Potato" for an additional $3.99 is not much loading. I'd guess they would supply normal butter and sour cream but the amount of cheese, chives, and crumbled bacon is not much. Just keep that in mind. read more

Good variety. Good selection at the bar and great prices on drinks. Nice views. Food is pretty good and service is attentive.

We were in Mountain View for the week and decided to have lunch out one of the days. My daughter got the veggie burger (claimed it was one of her best ever)! My other daughter got the catfish sandie - delicious! The husband and I both got burgers....both were fantastic; however, more well than we prefer. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect! We were greeted by the hostess promptly and seated next to the bar area, we waited for over 10 minutes and no one came to take our drink order. The bar is seems to be the main draw for this restaurant due to this area being a dry county, there were a number a people at the bar that was probably over served alcohol and was a lot of vulgar language being spoke loudly. Stopped in for dinner. Waited along time to be seated even though there were tables available ( possibly lack of staff). Once seated it took awhile to order. Waitress was pleasant. Anglers has totally remodeled and decorated. They now have a full bar, bar tender, new bathrooms, a totally new kitchen and more staff!! Chris keeps listening to his staff and customers to improve. I give it 5 starts! read more

My catfish and hush puppies were awesome. The okra was crispy and hot. My girlfriends fish tacos were average... next time she'll order something else. I'm giving Anglers a 5-star because we came for the fish. Definitely the spot for catfish and hush-puppies. Horrible. Wife and I both ordered Fish and Chips. Supposed to come with hush puppies and 1 side. Clears says this on the menu. Neither of us got chips(Fry's). Waitress said that was considered the side). Again. NOT what the menu states!!! The fish (supposed to be Cod) was prepackaged fish sticks. Sooo. 35 dollars for 2 orders of frozen fish sticks!!!!! Good and service was good. The drawback I ordered a lemonade which was ok my wife ordered a strawberry lemonade which was a joke. The same as mine except for a splash of pink colored stuff on the bottom of the glass. Tasted just like mine no strawberry flavor. The kicker was it cost 2 dollars more than mine did. For being completely swamped and dealing with the COVID seating requirements, we were seated relatively quickly. Our server was so very friendly and as fast as she could be considering the place was packed. We had no complaints on any dish and she kept the refills coming. No real photos of food because they were too busy eating. Chicken tender plate, fish tacos, blackened chicken Alfredo, grilled chicken and veggies, and two kids baskets of fried shrimp and Mac and cheese. Patio area for outside dining was open on an August THU night. We enjoyed the grilled catfish dinner and steak tips. The setting over the river was mighty fine. As Mountain View is "dry" this place is pretty popular locally. So you may find weekend crowds and they only have so much prime rib each day- so manage your timing or your appetite!
