Nice nice nice store!!!! Like Foreal!!! They have everything here! Like everything for fishing! We came here at 4:50am and they were open. We came in here for blood worms and chicken liver and night crawlers. But blood worms are the best if your going fishing on a charter boat or pier in the Chesapeake. The cost for blood worms today (6/20) was $13 and chicken livers were like $3 and night crawlers are $5. And you can get bags of ice for $2.89-$5/6 depending on the size bag you need. The people up front were soooo helpful and advised us to get blood worms early because they are known for selling out quick!!! Honestly if you are on a boat for 4/5 hours you only need like 2 bags of blood worms and then you can get chicken livers. They also selll alcoholic beverages but they said not till 6:00pm. Just a heads up. The pricing for fancy artificial baits are a little pricey but everything else is pretty reasonable. Definitely a go to spot if you like to fish!!! read more

I am an avid fisherman. I love fishing, and living on this side of MD has plenty of great fishing spots to kill your time on the weekends, especially during the spring and summertime. In the state of MD, you are required to get a fishing license, so I enjoyed the fact that you can renew your fishing license here. There's a few places on Kent Island and on the other side of the Bay Bridge I could go to but the owners of those places are racist and I am constantly being profiled and given dirty looks. But NOT at Anglers! I feel welcomed at Anglers, and I feel respected and comfortable going into Anglers for all my fishing needs regardless of it being out of my way. They offer fishing gear, rods, accessories, clothes, all the equipment you need to have a hella fun time. Also, they have a freaking bait vending machine, which is WILD! Also, the employees are very informed about the great outdoor sport and take care of their customers! read more

Over my short time in Maryland, this store has slowly become one of my favorite stores of all time. It's a fisherman's heaven. Not only do they have any and all of the tackle that you could possibly need, but they have affordable rod and reel deals that you can only get here. Everything is fairly priced and if you want to go the extra mile to buy yourself that nice lure or rod you've had your eye out for it's probably there too. What makes Anglers truly great is the staff. Every time I've had a question about local fish behaviors, tackle I should use for targeting local fish from specific locations and piers, or even new techniques that the staff have used recently, just ask away and any of the staff will answer. The YouTube channel they run is also SO helpful. This organization is just absolutely amazing with everything they've done. It's such a shame that this is my last semester in Maryland for a while. Went in there today and they weren't real busy. Was looking at fishing rods, lots of employees back at the fishing section, but none approached me to ask if I needed help. Finally went to the counter to ask about surf rods. The employee sort of gave me a sidewise glance and said they were at the front of the store, but didn't offer to go with me to look or ask what I was looking for. Asked the employee at front register who was more helpful, but he didn't ask any questions either, just said tackle shops nearer the shore may me able to help me better. This is my go to stop for bait and gear when I head out to the shore areas. On my visit today I noticed that the store was rearranged but it was also nice to see that the place was well stocked. You can find it all here from tackle to outdoor clothes, crabbing gear, and guns. They have lots of live bait, but be aware that on the weekends they can easily sell out of bloodworms. Everytime I go fishing or going to the beach o always stop by this store I think they have a great location it attracts a lot people especially people on their way to beach or fishing. They have all gears for fishing. Hunting, wine, and a lot gears for picnick and outdoor activities. Everybody is nice they are all very helpful, when I need to find something they seem to put effort finding what I am looking for they actullay go and find it for me and I find that extraordinarily. To begin, I've been coming here with my old man since I was 10. 20 years later, I've continued to stop by on my way to OC, Sandy Point, Matapeake, etc every summer. The place has gotten better and better. The place offers everything you need to get on the water and catch fish. However, this Sunday was the first time I was taken aback. First of all, the kid at cashier, Zach, is terrible. He lacks any general manners at the cashier. Twice now he has dropped my purchases on the counter and shoved it towards me in a "take it and go" manner. He's just plain rude. This isn't the worst part. While at the cashier, the employees behind the counter, whoever was behind the gun counter as well, are talking about "Wetback Nate" amongst other nicknames for him. I want to point out that I don't believe Nate, who is white, was involved, as he was the butt of the jokes. It came mostly from whoever was behind the gun counter and Zach, from my perspective. Look, I don't care if you don't like whoever, this is America. Please, keep that ignorance at home, not at a place of work where a large portion of your customer base is Hispanic. Maybe it was a joke between friends, at the very least, be discreet about it. Needless to say, I don't think I will be returning. read more

Fishing gear, hunting gear and beer what more can you want for an outdoor shop! I've driven by this place for years and I have never stopped in. Glad I did! We were all about the fishing gear. I'd have to say about 60% of this store is geared towards fishing...mostly salt water fishing. Lures, nets, bait traps of all kinds and all the various live baits you can think of. Basically, this place is set up for you to get any last minute fishing gear you need before you head out to the Eastern Shore. Any real fishermen (or fisherwoman) knows that you can never have too many hooks, lures, bait and extra reel or line because you never know whats biting out there. This place will get you everything you need. The hunting gear is interesting. They have lots of hunting clothes but the gun selection is a little weak. If you are an experienced gun owner you will find the selection to be mediocre at best. However, they have all of the cleaning supplies you need and everything to maintain what you currently have. But I think you are better off going to a real gun store or a gun show if you want to see a variety of shot guns, rifles and hand guns. However all in all this is a great bait and tackle shop. You can even grab a 40 and some snacks on the way out to your fishing spot. Love having a Mom & Pop bait and tackle store in the area. read more

Stop here almost everytime I go fishing across the bridge. This time I was running late and they were going to be closed. So I called them for 2 600 feet trotlines, bait, a new reel and gave them my card number by phone. They put all the stuff in a safe place and I came through 1 hour after close and picked it up. Small bait and tackle one-stop shop on your way to the beach. You really can't miss Angler's, as it's right off the side of the highway before you hit the Bay Bridge. Stopped in for a fishing license and some night-crawlers. Wasn't overly impressed that you have to pay cash for a fishing license, because Angler's charges $4.50 to withdrawal cash from their ATM. Silly me for not EVER carrying cash... I should have known better this go-round. I'd say its your typical run of the mill shop, mostly just convenient because it's right off the highway. read more

Anglers has never failed to impress me. I don't get out fishing often but when I do I come down from Pennsylvania and on my way to Ocean City I stop by Anglers as it is right before the bay bridge. The staff are always knowledgeable and willing to help. Yesterday I came in looking for a surf rod and reel setup as my old one had finally broke on a ray. A young man (I believe his name was Zach) helped set me up with a fantastic St. Croix rod and Penn reel that was in my price range and he also gave me lots of information on the warranties of the various companies and filled the spool with some of that new braid. The store was fairly busy but I felt like I was given special attention. I will definitely be coming back if I need any more advice or gear. Those kids know their stuff. read more

May be a good store but don't do a gun transfer with them. I was on the receiving end of a transfer and the gun arrived in the zippered soft case lose in a box. There was plenty of room in the box for packing material. Never have I had a gun shipped like this before. Very unprofessional!! Beware........ read more
