My 112 year old house is settling and I called Anglin's Foundation to get a quote on how much it would be to fix it. Chris came out today and inspected the house and crawl space. He told me that my current joists, posts, and additional support beam were solid and, given the lack of moving room in my crawl space, his crew really couldn't make any additional improvements. Called about a visibly leaning chimney on my home. The woman answering the phone asked me the cause of the issue (who knows?), and informed me they do not perform inspections to diagnose a leaning chimney; they can only perform repairs. I would have to "go get an inspection" first and then call back. This seems asinine. When I called back after reviewing my home inspection report from when we purchased the home, the same woman answered with "Yo!" And when I explained I was the person calling her back, she said "You have the wrong number." I had pressed redial on my cell phone- clearly not the wrong number and clearly she was the same person answering the phone. i needed footings installed for my front porch (it was sagging terribly) I inquired on their website, I got a call the next day. The day I called them back, they were able to come to the house so they could provide and estimate. Within 24 hours, they emailed my estimate to me. They were prompt to answer any questions I had about the process and the contract. Once I signed the contract, they provided an appointment for the next day! The work started at 7am and they were finished by 1! The guys were polite, efficient and clean. Nathan from Anglin's came last fall and gave me a quote for front porch that sank. He didn't get underneath my front porch to inspect as other company reps had done. I distinctly remember this. After only five minutes or so, he gave me a quote for three piers to lift the porch. He said one of the piers can also lift the concrete at the front steps which had also sank. At the time the work was done, I could see that one of the columns were not level. It took sending photos and several phone calls to get them to come out to look. Nathen, the sales rep, said it was up to the techs to come out and see what was going on. They told me that the joist under the wooden front porch was the problem. My point to them was that they were supposed to lift the porch and and if one of the columns were not lifted and leveled, they need to fix it. Anglin's finally had Nathan and techs come out and put a concrete slab with steel pier to lift one side of the column to level it. I could tell then that the concrete pad was going to sink and after 2.5 months, it did. I have not recommended Anglin'd since this happened at my house last fall. May be their other reps are more thorough when quoting a job. I've had couple of different people come to discuss fixing the porch and both thought joist was not the problem. I will have to call another foundation company to come and lvel the column after the rains are over. read more

My home is on a concrete poured wall basement foundation. The front deck and roof above rests on two pilings that had settled about 1.5-2.0 inches resulting in the deck and roof above sagging. When Gus from Anglin's came out, he was very honest and upfront. We had several foundation companies come out to take a look at our foundation on an older brick house. Unlike the others, Gus told me straight up that certain issues that we thought were problems were not actually problems and did not need to be immediately fixed. He instructed me on how to keep an eye on the foundation and when we needed to address the problem. He then, on his own, offered to take a look around the exterior of the house. He pointed out where part of our foundation had sunk in and that that particular issue should be addressed. The foundation had sunk to the point where part of the brick was separating from the roof. He told me how Anglin's could fix the problem. We scheduled the repair. The 2 men crew came out early in the morning and the fix was immediately apparent. The crew was courteous and were hard workers. They also cleaned up prior to leaving; we were very pleased with the repair to our foundation and will NOT hesitate to contact Anglin's in the future. read more

After 60 days and cash payment for a basement repair, I am still unable to get the warranty that they sold me on. Have left vms and emails to no avail. Post construction service absolutely sucks. I'll pay the price for this when I go to sell the house one day. If you ask for the warranty before payment, you might get lucky. read more

SO SO disappointed in this company. (We live in Marietta GA - I don't know why this post says San Francisco.) They ruined our front stairs - they raised them too high (out of code and they did not pull a permit) Two days later the concrete they applied fell apart. They patched up the railings (that were only a year old) with globs of putty - and left it like that. We stopped payment after the salesman told us it wasn't their fault. It took several phone calls to get anyone to come out and look at it. Finally the inspector for the company came out and agreed with us - however, when he went back to talk with the owner, John, he called and said John wanted $500 more dollars. We spoke with John who swore at us, complained about other customers in the past and told us he was almost 90 years old. So now we have a ruined brick stair case and the only way it can get fixed is to raise the walkway - which risks cracking it and requiring the entire walkway to be redone if that happens. And they actually want us to pay them to come out and correct their mistake - rise is 8 1/4" - maximum by law is 7 1/4" - I almost fell off the stairs when I first used them two days after they raised them and they fell apart. I would never, never recommend them - it's one thing if a company makes a mistake - we can understand that - but to not correct it is their biggest mistake. My husband and I were so very impressed with the professionalism of this company. It started with a visit from a very knowledge man, who came out and inspected our home, on the side where foundation problems existed. He was very thorough and explained what we needed. The group of workers came over and did an outstanding job on the area that needed fixing and completed the work with cleaning up any debris that was on the ground. One tiny area at the base of the brick work was a concern to me so I called and they sent someone out and fixed it promptly and with a smile. The price was very reasonable and worth every penny! I needed foundation work on my porch and did a lot of research about companies in this field. It didn't take long to realize there are many companies who claim they can do the job but then result in failures and disappointed customers. Since often the problem of foundations is difficult to truly assess up front and know if the jacks or expansion materials will be able to raise a sinking area, you can't get any guarantee from the companies that they can raise a sunken structure back to it's original state. They only guarantee to stabilize it at it's current level. So once they begin the process, if their solution does not work, you may be paying for no visual improvement. That's real unsettling when you're talking about thousands of dollars with no guarantee it'll look better or even be brought back to building code height standards. The other thing I learned is often most companies quotes don't include the finish masonry work that is usually necessary to finish the cosmetics of the job. After talking with several firms I chose Anglin's based on good reviews and a good gut feel after meeting with their sales guy Gus. He did a good job of explaining things and even came out twice to go over the job. Frankly, their quote was 20% more than another large competitor, but I felt justified because it included the masonry work. End result, the crew led by Iggy showed up bright and early on schedule and did an outstanding job. They are very customer-centric and truly wanted to satisfy us and permanently fix the problem. Most admirable is the fact that, indeed one of my problems was not curable using their standard approach and without hesitation Iggy moved to another approach that cost them quite a bit more time to complete. Our 40 year old all brick garage was sagging at the two front corners, cracking the slab and separating the brick work , in one place as much as a 1 inch gap in the mortar joint. I found Anglin's on the web and asked for them to come by and give us an estimate. Though they were about a week out on estimates (and we also live a good distance from their offices out in west Georgia), we scheduled a date and time. To my surprise, Nathan, the senior inspector and estimator was not only on time, he actually called and asked if he could come earlier, which freed up my day quite a bit more. After examining our problem, he explained the options available. I chose to go with the steel pier jacking even though it was more costly. It is simply a better, more permanent solution to our problem. Later that afternoon, I received a phone call from the office (as promised) to schedule the work for the following week. The day before they were to come do the work, I received another call from the office to confirm that all was still on schedule. The next morning, the work crew arrived a few minutes early, which considering the distance they had to drive and the traffic they had to go through, was pretty impressive. Chris, Wes and Leo were at work in no time and conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner. They even took the time to answer any questions I had and clearly explained the process. About an hour before the work was to be finished, it began to rain. These guys kept working through the rain to finish the entire job and clean up! I called this company over the weekend to to get some information as the home my husband and I just purchased has some floor sagging. The answering service was pleasant and the lady advised someone would call me shortly to schedule something. A few hours later, I phoned again and asked about hours (to set expectations in case they didn't return calls on the weekends, which I would completely understand) but the answering service assured me someone would reach out immediately, this was on Saturday. Monday morning I finally get a call back.The gentleman that called me this morning was extremely rude, didn't even give his name. The gentleman stated my needs were "not in the scope of their business" - yet their website clearly states one of their services is "sagging floor". I asked again, so this isn't something your company can handle, he states "oh we can handle it but we'll charge you $4,000 for installing a beam". I'm not sure how this company received 5 stars if this is the behavior their employees routinely exhibit. My wife and I just purchased a fantastic but very old home in Midtown that came with a *very* sloped master bath. Honestly any time you have to do foundation work it is very nerve-racking. I called around town for estimates and met with several of the leading Atlanta companies. Nathan from Anglin's was a class act and really gave me the best impression. Nathan went through my crawlspace and told me exactly what I needed--less piers than their competitors and came with a transferable warranty! The job was pretty big and included two crews.
