Worst customer service ever! Fist time in and last. Guy behind the register was nice when I asked to have some steaks cut. He told me as soon as the gentle came back from getting the other lady in the store her stuff he would help me. The man was told i wanted some steaks cut, he told me he had some in the case if that didn't work I was out of luck! I wouldn't feed the steaks in the case to my dog!! If you are looking for the best meats from a real butcher Angus Meats is the place to go! Only place I buy Prime Rib for a special dinner...always an amazing cut of meat with great marbling. Ground Sirloin makes the best burgers,the hot dogs and sausage are amazing on the grill. Never received a bad cut of meat from them. If you are a steak lover like my nephew he was blown away by their custom cut thick ribeye. Will be calling soon to place my next order! read more

I had been looking for a real 'butcher shop' for a whole year and found this one, by accident. I am so glad!! You can get your meat/chicken and have them seal your items in the amount you want; have your steaks cut to order (vacuum sealed), your chicken pieces (vacuum sealed), bacon, etc. I love the personal attention. As far as waiting to be served, it's faster than Publix! Try the angus beef, it is very good. read more

Wow! Was not expecting an amazing meat shop tucked away in the outskirts of downtown Dunnellon. We stopped in to see if they had butter (we forgot at Publix) and were blown away by the variety and quality of meat available. We changed our dinner plans to make tacos from their ground beef and homemade chorizo. The meat looked and smelled better than any I've ever cooked before. Even my husband commented when I was cooking that the meat smelled different but better than usual. We were only visiting for a couple of days, so we bought a selection of frozen items to bring home. In addition to the quality of items, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They obviously cared about their product and were anxious to please. Needless to say we will be back when we are in the area. If you are in the area, it's a must. read more

Very disappointed with last 2 purchases. 1st purchase ordered family pack which they included Bar S bacon (cheap) and Fast Fixin chicken brands which I would never buy if shopping in another store. Whole chicken was flattened in a vacuum pak. and the size of a pigeon. 2nd purchase was for steak tips (15 lbs) packed in a bag and didn't examine until I arrived home they packed and sold me 15 lbs of stew beef cubed. ugh! what a ripoff! both times spent over $150 the first time and close to $100 the second time. I'm done. Can do much better shopping elsewhere. Not the same quality when my father introduced me to this store when he was alive two years ago. Called the store and was told that's how people order steak tips or (beef tips) as he called them, they eat them over rice even though I specified was for a bbq for family. read more

Posted prices not adhered to. Overcharged by over $50 on a $160 dollar order. Purchased numerous items, but none were sold at the prices marked. Brought it up at the store and received a sub par explanation. Later, called to express disappointment once I realized the degree to which I had been overcharged -- received an apology and was told that I didn't understand the pricing, or how to buy to receive the posted prices. The guy in the store is nice, but he's always doing the razzle dazzle, and I perceive an honesty issue. Just make sure you know what you're getting and ask for the price up front, and check to see that it is actually charged correctly. I was trying to support a small business, but I'll stick to the chain stores moving forward. read more
