We stopped in today, because we were headed out to citrus county, and this place was on the way. Ive seen it, but Im never there when they are open. Anyway, that changed today when the Husbeastie and I stopped in for a quick brunch. This is a small shop, run by one or two people, so orders of food take time as they are made individually. Today, I got a fluffy Bavarian Cream donut, and loaded Avacado toast, my hubby got a smash burger with perfect tots! (They were perfectly crisp and salty. Perfect!) The donut, Ill be honest I was expecting dry and very little filling, ala Dunkin, but No! Thos was a deliciius, tender dough, and LOTS of filling! It was a decadent experience. My loaded avocado toast, and it was not at all what I expected, it was better! Instead of just mashed avocado, it was a thick piece of multi grain bread, spread with cream cheese, salad mix, and sliced avocado, with 2 eggs any style. I asked for scrambled, dry and they were perfect. Honestly its several hours later and I'm still thinking about that donut. read more

There aren't many good old fashioned donut places anymore and this sure is one of them-- one note though, the vanilla cake donuts have gotten a little small and it makes them a little undercooked and doughy (they're my favorite so would love to see these back at their normal size!!) read more

The people here are very friendly. It is the local favorite place for donuts. You can tell a very big difference in the quality of their donuts over commercial. Can you go for donuts? Well I certainly can ... I think a good donut is by far one of the best things ever invented. These things are massively scarfable. I got three of the bow ties, and they were light, fluffy, sweet, and melt in your mouth. If I had a cup of hot chocolate, well I would have been in heaven. I also got a lemon filled powdered sugar cake type of donut. It was good, although the filling was just a bit like it came from a can or something ... not a homemade cream to be sure. Anyway, this was a great find in a really cute town. And these things will make a nice breakfast ... assuming they last that long, which most assuredly they will not. read more

Places like this are why I love small towns. The small store front in a simple looking strip mall belies what lies within. These doughnuts are fresh, crispy, light, and delicious. The service is small town friendly. The prices are cheap (a dollar per doughnut), but bring cash. We sampled a boston cream filled and a glazed sour cream, and I thought the sour cream one was the winner. It had that thick and dense cake texture, with the almost crunchy exterior "bite" of a good glazed doughnut. The store is pretty small, but there are a few tables to eat at if you want to eat at the store. read more

This was our first time trying this donut shop and we are beyond satisfied. This place is amazing. First let me start by saying they treated my son so special for his 7th birthday. They made him a sprinkle donut and came out with candles to sing him Happy Birthday. The donuts are absolutely delicious, super soft and fresh. Their croissant breakfast sandwich was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have had in a long time and the flavored iced coffee was perfect! Their kindness just topped it off. I asked for a smash burger, doughnut, and it was just a frozen patty burger and they did not put the bacon on the side like I asked because I'm allergic to it but the person I'm with was not up with massive stomach cramps because of this and it cost $16 for one horrible sandwich and one apple fritter. honestly, I was so angry at the lady when she brought the food she's like can I bring you chips or something else or drink for free? No, it's remake the sandwich without the bacon on it and cook it separately. I even asked separately I would greatly appreciate a full refund because this was just disgusting to be honest the food was horrible was just a frozen patty, don't ever recommend Smashburger please just take it off your menu! But I also had donuts at Dunkin Donuts in Dunnellon and were about the same price and not as tasty as these were. People were very friendly there, was elderly people early in am.
