Anila is extremely talented! She altered my wedding dress after ordering a "custom fit dress" at a local boutique in the area. I can't say enough good things about Anila. She altered a size 16 wedding dress down to fit me like a glove (Size 6/8). The whole experience was better than I could have hoped. She is so personable and her attention to detail is worth every penny spent. Her honesty is much appreciated, as she wants to make sure her work looks perfect and the customer is satisfied. If I could rate her higher than a 5- I would. I have also been a bridesmaid in 18 weddings (no lie) and have never had a dress altered so well before in my life! So I am speaking from lots of experience here. Anila is AMAZING. She made my wedding dress fit me better than I ever thought it could fit. I didn't have much time (which I don't suggest doing- it's stressful. This summer I happily reconnected with Anila after many years of thinking that she had moved far away. Anila altered a formal dress for me for a family wedding last week. While pinning the hem, she noticed the back zipper was crooked. She said "I will fix that." She did a beautiful job! At the wedding I received so many compliments on the dress. Despite the challenging design (gathering at the waist on one side and several layers to the long skirt), she managed to maintain the drape and flowiness of the skirt. It was a very elegant look. I had a wedding coming up and needed a few alterations for a jumpsuit. A new dressmaker had opened up around the corner from me, so I decided to take the jumpsuit over to her. Initially I wasn't sure if this outfit was a bit "young" for me. Anila was immediate with her frankness. She gave me her reasoning which gave me assurance with my purchase. Anila took her time scrutinizing what she needed to do with the alterations of the suit. I accompanied my friend for all her wedding dress fittings and Anila was AMAZING! She eased all my friend's concerns about the dress fitting properly, answered all our questions with patience and kindness, and honestly made the overall experience so fun! The final result was stunning. The dress fit perfectly and my friend looked amazing. She also said numerous times how comfortable the dress felt on. When I bought my dress in July, my fiancé and I were planning a September wedding (just 2 months away) due to COVID. Due to the short time, I had to order a dress 2 sizes too big. Anila took one look and promised she could do it in time. When I say she's a miracle worker, I am NOT exaggerating. She managed to make my dress look PERFECT in the span of 6 weeks! Not only that, she made me a mask from the extra fabric and a beautiful shawl all free of charge! I was so impressed. Anila saved the day for my son's wedding. I had the dress altered where I bought it and took it to Anila for a minor alteration. When I tried it on for her I could see it had not been altered correctly, actually it was a mess and I could not wear it as it was. I have to agree with all the 5-star reviews that Anila got. She is incredibly professional, kind, and capable of anything. My dress was gold lamé on one half, beading throughout the rest, with nothing extra at the seams. She came up with an ingenious idea to give me a little more breathing space in the shoulders and arms. I got married in this dress 37 years ago, now thanks to her I can wear it again! Anila is a perfectionist. She saved my dress for my son's wedding. I bought it from a dress shop in Mayfair. The person who did the first alterations actually butchered my dress. Anila took the entire dress apart and repaired it so I was able to wear it. It fit me as if it was made for me. Anila only had 1 week and she was able to make it happen for me. Anila's is amazing! She saved my bridesmaid's dress! I originally had my dress altered by my grandmother, but then lost weight and needed it to be altered again. Anila saved me. She was so kind and patient. The dress needed a lot of work corrected before she could make the new alterations. She had to fix the hemming. She had to basically take apart the whole dress. Her work is beautiful. She then saved me again with the pick up of my dress. I was set to pick it up before a flight out of town and the flight was moved up.
