My recent experience at Animaid made me decide that I will not bring any of my pets back here. Two of my dogs and my cat has been coming to Animaid. This recent visit, I called them to make an appointment as my cat had UTI symptoms. My cat despises the vet and can become aggressive. I let the receptionist know of this and how he requires sedation so they actually changed my appointment from Saturday to Friday. They informed me that since he requires sedation, it'll be better to come in on Friday. I moved all my work schedule around despite how busy I was to make the Friday appointment work. When I showed up, this kind vet assistant (I don't remember her name but she had colored hair) was able to hold my cat down. She told me another assistant will be shadowing her. This was frustrating because my cat was starting to get aggressive and she seemed very lost and confused and couldn't even input the information into the computer. We had to wait for the vet for another 20 minutes because he was still helping another pet in the other room. After waiting, he comes in to say that there is nothing they can do since he requires sedation. Excuse me? I had informed them from the very beginning when I had made this appointment that he would require sedation. It seemed very unprofessional on their part to make an appointment knowing circumstance and then refusing to assist and provide help. Knowing my cat, he seemed very uncomfortable and it made me upset that I had wasted my time coming here instead of being able to get him the help he needs. Animaid had advertised that they would be able to help, but in the end, they turned us away. As the other reviews stated, Brett is no longer there and it has definitely gone downhill since he left. He truly showed so much love and care to all the animals and was a big reason I liked bringing my pets here. This was a very frustrating experience and I will never be returning here again.

Dr. Acevedo, Christian and Jess were amazing! My puppy had a bit more of a concerning appointment today and all three made sure to answer all questions making the process a lot more comfortable. Jess helped me from start to finish; from making the appointment to checking me out. Very smooth and again, professional. Christians intake process was great. He got everything ready for our Dr for a more efficient visit. My puppy loved him even after some bloodwork! Dr. Acevedo answered all my questions. Gave me a treatment plan that made sense and one that I feel confident in. I truly appreciate the care this office has to offer to patients and owners.

They told us our appointment was automatically cancelled and refused to let us speak to a vet even though they said the next appointment was not for another 45 minutes to an hour. There was no one else in the waiting room. We said we only wanted to ask the vet a question that would take less than 10 minutes, but the receptionist rudely refused and said she could only reschedule us for 4 hours later, which did not work for us. We've come here for years, but I'm glad they gave me a reason to switch vets.

I brought my first cat to be neutered in about 2012. You have to call to schedule. He was in at 8am and by the afternoon. The wait times to see a veterinarian can be very long depending on how many patients show up. Appointments can also be backed up because of emergencies. I have an aggressive dog and they are very understanding about her needs. They also help pets having emergencies. Nobody is turned away. It was really hard to find any practice like this when the location was closed temporarily. I'm glad this location is open and I hope they stay open.

The biggest issue was the handling of my dog's vaccination records. We provided official vaccine records showing that our dog was vaccinated, but the clinic refused to accept them because their requirements were different from what is commonly accepted elsewhere. This was not clearly communicated beforehand and resulted in a wasted trip and a lot of frustration. The staff's communication felt unprofessional, and the overall experience left me feeling that customer concerns were not being handled appropriately. I would recommend that anyone considering this clinic ask detailed questions about their vaccination requirements before scheduling an appointment.

Generally I am able to make appointments for them within 48 hours of needing to be seen which is good. However their hours and appointments might be limited sometimes so YMMV. Recently our older dog was having issues and we brought him in. Our first appointment did not go well as he was never seen, they told me to come back the next day which I did. We came back the following day and he was seen for his lack of appetite and urinary issues. In the past everything was fairly expensive but this time took the cake. It cost $700 for an exam, two lab tests and a small medication to increase his appetite for a few days. The worst part is, we did not get any diagnosis since they didn't find anything wrong. They also checked his ears which he is often scratching daily and they said were totally normal also. The next day he was worse so now we are forced to take him to an emergency room and pay double the cost, at a minimum. They also gave me about using our Carecredit card for the payment, which is in my wife's name, even though they know both of us and our dogs for the last two years. They also didn't give us any discount for the trouble of rescheduling on us or being a repeat customer. Imagine going to a mechanic for your car paying $700 and it's worse than when you brought it in? That is the situation as of not.

Haiku: A Acacia Animal Hospital…read more Takes care of my dog Staff sweet and professional Still curbside drop-off. --- My neighbor recommended me to Dr Adams at A Acacia Animal Hospital and I've been pretty happy with them. In the past year, I've had to bring my aging dog in several times for various issues. Usually, when something happens, I call for an appointment and they've been able to squeeze us in either that day or in the next couple of days. There have been times they've been fully booked and not able to immediately accommodate us and I respect that. One of our major visits last year was for my dog to get surgery and remove some skin tags from his body. He had to be sedated for a couple of hours. During that time, Dr. Adams did a fine job removing his skin masses and also did a deep teeth cleaning. Our pup came home and recovered well. The office even called the next day to check up on him. They are doing curbside meet and greet. Just park in a numbered spot and call the office upon arrival. Since they are still doing curbside drop-off, I've never been able to see inside the office and how Dr. Adams and the staff interact with my dog. For the most part, when Dr. Adams comes out to talk to me about how my pup is doing, he is professional, kind, and answers all my questions. The only downside is their billing and record-keeping system seem to be archaic. They haven't transferred to a digital system. It'd be much more convenient to receive printed receipts (vs handwritten receipts), an electronic log of his vaccinations (as well as a list of upcoming shots), and digital reminders of future appointments.

Staff here are always so friendly and treats my dog with care. The vet is nice, although blunt and…read morestraightforward. He really explains everything so well and leaves it open to asking questions.

Words can't express how much of a blessing Stanton Pet…read moreHospital has been to our family and dog, Bella whom was clipped by a car that left that then put his car in reverse to flee the scene of the accident. A hit and run that left her bleeding and crying uncontrollably. I didn't know what to do. We were devastated because we knew she was in horrible pain yet we only wanted Dr. Kavannaugh's professional opinion, so that's what we did. Thanks to Dr. K. Kavannaugh (and her entire office) working around the clock and refusing to let Bella be an amputee, she is today walking on 4s and without a limp or foot misplaced in her gait. I thought we were going to get a call that they didn't know what to do so they put her down because there were days that passed, she was boarded the their team and we couldn't go to visit. It was a little nerve-wracking for us not knowing what was going to happen. Again, Stanton Pet Hospital provided round the clock care and Dr. K was a miracle worker whom made great decisions about her health and ultimate immune system as she chose different yet equally essential medications pre and post op to safeguard her God forbid there was infection. She then titrated her medications and dosages and thankfully Bells doesn't require daily meds for either infection nor pain today. Her recovery process we couldn't do without them as it included weekly wound cleaning and dressing change. I NEVER recommended pet owners experimenting at home with a health issue that should require medical attention. because, even though I'm a professional, we aren't always when it comes to our own pets and children. We tend to act on emotion with our own. not logic when a decision for a loved one is involved. Also, I may be a neat freak and my home is very clean but remember it is NOT a sterile environment so never safe to practice in. Anyway , we had to board Bella pre-op as it was absolutely essential for her to have those professional hands and a sterile environment to avoid secondary infection and optimal healing. All of the office staff treat the same patient, gentle way and provide professionally sound advice for us pet owners Again, Thank you Dr. K and all employees from the bottom of our hearts. To the general public, try Stanton Pet Hospital. I know it is the right vet for you and look forward to hearing your experience. I also want to say to anyone who is negatively commenting to always first accentuate a positive. I know when dealing with loss it may seem impossible but perhaps your furry friend is in heaven and no longer in pain or perhaps they are enjoying meal missed prior because they were not eating. Grieving is unfortunately for the living, not the deceased and it's the ONLY scientific process, that doesn't have to occur chronologically. In other words, Denial, acceptance, bargaining, are examples of the parts of grieving process and though acceptance is the last one listed, it is often not the final step but often rather the first for some. Again, try to find one positive before having a field day with negative comments online. Get a journal to write down your thoughts in and be professional with reviews as you should always begin your review with a positive comment and then transition to the negative. A journal can help one personally especially if they need to release those negative thoughts. Don't bring your emotions to a professional online platform if you can't post a comment like an emotionally regulated adult. If you're grieving, hold on pain ends, just don't write a review publicly if you're still in that grieving process. Remember, Hurt people hurt people and this a professional business that are some dedicate everything to so reevaluate your mood while going publicly. Again. I'm sorry for anyone who has gone through the passing of & imagine the taxing job it is to have to inform family that their pet isn't going to be going home. Medical professionals can deem human/animal's quality of life is severely affected (appetitive, sleep, ambulatory, mood, etc.) that it's time to reevaluate how to get this pet comfortable as we can't have them living this low of an existence. It's not always the intended outcome; however, it would be selfish to keep a pet alive without existing in daily healthy life especially if it possibly cause a pubic health crisis. I can assure you that Dr. K is one of the least selfish i know. Stanton Pet Hospital has my trust. VCA has also been amazing after hours, truly around the clock 24/7 establishment; however, I truly can't can't leave Dr. K because of the dedication, service and trust I have in her. We wanted no one but her to care for Bella after she was hit by a car and could barely walk.
