Disappointing: These folks had top reviews, but we sent an inquiry for our super friendly small dog and never heard back. If you cannot get back to potential customers' inquiries, then get out of yelp. We have had our dog groomed by groomers all over the USA(including NYC, LA, Seattle, Houston, Miami & others) and Canada, but never had a "no response" from a request thru yelp of a groomer that was supposedly highly rated. If we make the time to inquire via their yelp listing, the least they can do is respond. Already found another much more "responsive" groomer, and this type of provider behavior in here is a major red flag for us. So if you are looking for a groomer in here, don't waste your time on this one like we did. read more

Friendly staff. Great service. They were booked out weeks but put me on a cancelation wait list and literally called the next day. They did a great job on my yorkie puppy. I am so glad to now have a great groomer so close to my home. read more

Love this spot!! We travel/move a lot so my Yorkie has been groomed many places over the years, and Animal Bath & Burrow has been one of our best experiences ever! I called to schedule an appointment and they were so friendly and accommodating. They got us in right away, and drop-off was easy and again with a very friendly staff member. Chelsea groomed my pup and she gave him the best haircut. He looked and smelled fantastic, and came home with an adorable Halloween bandana on and was given 2 yummy treats that he loved (he's a picky eater, but gobbled them right up!). I was so impressed all around and cannot recommend this place highly enough! As long as I'm in the area, I won't go anywhere else!! read more

We love Animal Bath! Our DOGS love Animal Bath! :-) Seriously, my dogs and I have made the rounds of groomers in Glastonbury over the years. This place is by far the best! What I love is that I can drop them both off and they are ready to be picked up in a reasonable amount of time. (not like some groomers who I think stock pile dogs and then it takes 8 hours to get your poor, traumatized dog back) My dogs always look happy when I drop them off and when I pick them up! Mind you, this is not a "spa" for dogs - it's a groomer. They will wash and cut their coat, trim their nails...the normal stuff and they will do it well. The charge is reasonable, the business is LOCAL - not a big chain - and family run. read more

Very unhappy they charged 79$ for my dog didn't do what I ask them to do. They just give bath trim cut nails. No cut I clearly say what I want. The told me I wasn't clear what I want. I'm not stupid the called and ask me to drop off my dog @ 11am. I pick my dog up at 2pm not sure why they kept her so long. Didn't give her a cut. Not going back there. The owner was very rude putting the blame on me. Not sure why I was charged $ 79.00. I wasn't there to pick up my dog. Horrible RUDE. Not worth one star. Well I received a call stating to drop my dog at 11am pick up at 2pm to get everything done. I was at work when my husband got a call to pick up my dog at 12:45pm to pick up my dog. Not sure why they charged so much for 1hour and minutes. I normally don't complain but I have to take my dog for a cut now. Candlewick is the best place for us now. The owner thinks I don't understand why would you tell someone what you will do when ppl gets there. read more

We love Animal Bath & Burrow! They are always able to squeeze in our Goldendoodle within a week or so of me realizing she looks like a gremlin and needs to be groomed. They are so sweet and do an incredible job with that tricky Goldendoodle coat. We highly recommend them! read more

Horrible experience. Took are elderly dog there for grooming and explained he had hip issues. When we picked him up he was barely able to walk and dehydrated. Either they do not have AC or it was not working. Also much more expensive then other groomers in the area. read more

If I could give 6 starts.... I would! These groomers are incredibly accommodating and excellent with my pet! I brought my labradoodle as a pup, for her first bath. I was very nervous as (just like babies) you want to make the first experience the best. Chelsea did not disappoint. She was so sweet and helpful. My pup was happy, looked amazing and smelled great! My dog is now almost 3 and I would not trust ANYONE else to do this service for me. Highly recommend these groomers!! read more

We have used this place a few times already. Twice for grooming and once for doggie day care. Our dog Oscar loves this place. He gets so excited when we pull into the lot. I absolutely love Animal Bath and Burrow! I recently moved to the area and decided to try Animal Bath and I am so happy with them. Very friendly service. Excellent grooming services at a reasonable price. I have a rescue dog that is a bit timid. They are very patient with her and provide me with a thorough update on how she did each time. Family owned business offers excellent grooming. I am very protective of my pets and always feel confident when I drop them off that they will be well cared for. The atmosphere is warm and personable and the turn around time is quick--usually no more than 3 hours which is much better than leaving your dog for an entire day. They also have a penned area where dogs wait to be picked up rather than being crated. Animal Bath rocks! read more

I am new to the area, and they were able to take my Dachshund FREDDY for a wash on very short notice. The place does not look like much from the outside, but inside it was a warm friendly family oriented atmosphere. They did a great job providing wash, teeth brushing, etc for FREDDY at a very reasonable price. Kudos! read more

Ok. My dog is usually an absolute mess. I have a golden/poodle mix, and her fur gets matted easily. I was looking for a new groomer as I'm new to the area, so I thought I'd give this place a try. My dog looks absolutely gorgeous and is so fluffy and soft. Here fur was not too short. She can be a little hard to deal with (I guess she pooped when they were trying to blow dry her) but that didn't make a big deal of it at all. Best yet? It was $15 cheaper fit the same service I normally get at my old place! read more

Adopted an aussie doodle from a rescue a month ago - I knew he was overdue & was almost afraid I'd get turned away - dog was super-matted, nasty ears, etc. Gina took lots of time getting Finn cleaned & cut. I was kinda scared my dog would turn out a little too foo-foo 'poodlish' (no offense to the poodle owners who like that look - just not my thing), but Finn looked & smelled great. Gina took lots of time w/ me too - teaching me how to properly brush Finn, 'health' things to look out for, even some recommendations for vets. Super impressed by this place. read more

Absolutely excellent job! This place is so friendly and accommodating. They take excellent care of our two French Mastiffs. Chelsea is always so friendly and sweet. Recently, they really helped us in a bind. We were in the middle of moving and dropped off our dogs for baths. They were ready in a few hours but we were still moving and we didn't want our dogs in the house during a move because of all the commotion and open doors. I drove down there to pick them up and asked Chelsea what she thought about Pet Smart day care because I was about to drop them off there so we could finish our move and not put the dogs in danger. She said great things about Pet Smart. She went in the back to get our dogs and came back out after speaking with her father & they offered to keep our two doggies there for the rest of the day so we could finish our move & not be nervous about dropping them off somewhere else!!!! I couldn't believe the act of generosity. This is a level of service you don't see anymore in the world. Pure kindness and love for your animals is what you will find here. To top it off, when I picked them up at the end of the day, she didn't even want to take extra cash. Of course we insisted but again ... pure kindness and genuine love for their customers. We will be customers for life as long as we live in CT. ;) read more
