Stewart at Animal Control Specialist came to our rescue not once, but twice. The first time was in 2021, and we just engaged his services again last month to rehome some squirrels that were adamant about chewing their way into our house. Stewart was extremely responsive and came out within a couple of days to set up the traps. He made sure the traps were in a shaded area so that any captured squirrels weren't roasting in the sun, and came out daily to check/reset the traps and to escort the squirrels to a new area. Both times, he also examined our home for potential entry points and gave us the option to have him seal them or have another contractor seal them for us. Of course, we opted to have him do it, but I liked that he wasn't pushy and gave us enough information to make an informed choice. I have used this company twice now. First for squirrels in my attic as well as raccoons trying to get the squirrels. Stewart got rid of squirrels and fixed the hole they had made to enter the attic. I recently had an issue with a snake taking up residence in my basement without my permission. When I was looking for someone to come and remove it, I came across Animal Control Specialist. I spoke with Stewart, who took the time to TRY to help me be rational and calm about the situation. Other companies tried to use the scare tactics in order to get some ridiculous amounts of money out of me and get me into an ongoing contract. I wound up having my local animal control people to come and pick it up, but they we no where near helpful beyond that. We woke up with a raccoon in our basement. Needless to say we were freaked out. I called Animal Control Specialists and they came out within hours. Mathew was very professional and able to deal with my novice understanding of how to deal with the situation. The little guy had left our basement but Mathew set-up traps and regularly came by to check to see if we caught anything. These gentlemen are great. I heard some sound within a high part of an external wall and found these great reviews for ACS. Called Stewart, and Matthew came out a couple days later to inspect house. Fortunately, no signs of a squirrel or access large enough. Perhaps mice. Matthew did a really careful inspection of it all, and since he did not find any evidence of an animal (maybe evidence of mice in past), he did not charge me for the trip. If there was a squirrel to trap, they have a specific fee for that and come back every day until it's caught. Fortunately, I don't need that. Anyway, my sense is that this is a great company. Really thoughtful people and excellent service. And, if I do want to investigate the mouse possibility further, they referred to another company who are great at that. That's really impressive.
