I had such an incredible experience at this dental center with my 6lb poodle. He needed multiple tooth extractions due to old jaw trauma, and I was nervous going in, but the entire team was amazing from start to finish. They were patient with every question I had, explained the plan clearly, and even sat me down afterward to walk through photos of the procedure so I understood exactly what they did. They were also able to fit us in quickly, which I appreciated more than I can say. Was it expensive? YES -- extremely!!!! But they did excellent work, treated my dog with real compassion, and called afterward to check on him. What really won me over was the level of care after surgery. They had a student hold my dog for three hours because he's a lap dog, not a crate dog and was crying post surgery. read more

Recently visited ADC for my cat who chipped his tooth. Overall the experience was very pleasant. Dr. Hutt was very thorough and even took the time to discuss further following our initial evaluation to better help us guide us in this process of deciding the proper treatment. The staff were also friendly and helpful with any questions. Great communication was maintained between them, my primary vet and CVCA. The only odd encounter that I experienced was as we were picking up my cat another person in a back room was screaming very loudly and yelling profanity. Without asking any questions as I awkwardly stood there going over paperwork, I assumed it was a staff based on the nurses response as the nurse discharging us laughed uncomfortably as she apologized profusely. Which at that point as she went back to let them know she was discharging a patient- the response was not kind. Another nurse even came out front to ask what was going on, simply laughed and went back. While I am all for fun and games amongst coworkers, I do also value professionalism when working with clients or patients. read more

Highly recommend this dental practice for your fur children. Our chihuahua has such horrible breath and he needed major dental work. They treated him so well and thoroughly explained everything that would be done. Sure, it's not cheap but I much rather take my dog to a professional who specializes in dentistry than a vet who has a generic understanding of teeth and will just extract a tooth rather than fix it or clean it. Our dog was in so much discomfort before seeing the dentist and after the procedure he is doing so much better. You can noticeably tell he feels better. read more

Dr. Luskin and his colleagues took amazing care of my kitten who had injured himself pretty significantly. Imagine being told that your kitten who was all but recovered from a neuter/declaw procedure had broken his jaw in 3 places and broken a tooth......in an unknown apparently freak accident. While I'm thrilled that this specialty center exists, who knew? This is an active teaching facility with 4 convenient locations throughout Maryland and into Leader Heights, PA. Dr. Luskin himself also cares for the "big" cats at the Baltimore Zoo. Minus one star only for communication/technical issues that apparently revolve around upgrading their EMR system for the first time in 20 years. read more

We were referred to the Dental Center after Banfield Towson took x-rays of my 10 year old dorky's teeth for the first time in his life. We move a lot and always use Banfield. This was the first one to push for x-rays. Then when they saw the extensive damage, I felt it was very professional of them to hand us off to experts. I honestly didn't even know animal dentists existed. In conversation with Dr. Hutt I learned that there are fewer than 300 in the whole country. I feel very fortunate to have such a commodity within my current community. We started with a different doctor who thoroughly explained everything, to include the breakdown in cost. But then my family got covid. So to reschedule the surgery as soon as possible we had to switch doctors. But once again, Dr. Hutt was very thorough and answered all of my questions before the surgery. The whole team is great. We were encouraged to call for updates during our little guy's surgery, which my husband did. The nurse brought him out to the car after the procedure and just bragged on how good he was. They've already emailed a couple of times with aftercare and records and called to check on him the day after the surgery. I will admit that there was some initial sticker shock. But I will say that Banfield would have charged about the same or more and they aren't as qualified. Here we were given a quote with low to high end, so we knew what to expect. He went in with the expectation of losing around 20 teeth. They ended up taking 25, and we paid about in the middle of the estimated range. Banfield charges by the tooth. So we would have spent WAY more or had to make some hard decisions. Here they charge by supplies and time regardless of how many teeth they take. Overall, I'm so glad Banfield referred us here. Although no one ever wants to hear that their dog needs a $2k-$4k surgery to extract 20 teeth, if I have to do it I'd rather go with an expert. It's a decision I definitely don't regret. read more

Dr Luskin and staff were amazing. We are proud and careful owners of two senior Boston Terriers and new to extensive dental treatment and what it can beneficially do. Dr Luskin is honest and up front about his procedures. His first and foremost is what is best for your dog rather than the common what is best for his business. We didn't know what to expect when we went in with our boys, but after two procedures that were thoroughly explained to us, our dogs are living happier lives than they were years ago. We cannot thank Dr Luskin enough for his help, advice and care. As nervous as we were walking in, we were treated as friends and our dogs treated as family. Following the procedures, check up calls came in as though they'd operated on their own pets. 7/19/2012 My PooDLe needed a specialist to repair her jaw. The surgery was done by Dr. MJ Redman. I was extremely impressed and the surgery was a success! They did a fantastic repair. I am extremely picky about who I trust with my animals and I would HIGHLY recommend them. I drove from PA to their Towson office. Before the surgery, I researched them and after spending the day in their office and talking to people I met, other clients had fantastic things to say about them. .. The staff and facilities here were absolutely awesome. The service was fantastic. I never felt unsure about leaving my baby (3 year old terrier, Jackson) with them and knew he was in good hands. He had an overbite since he was a puppy and it needed to be fixed due to a bottom canine tooth intruding into his upper gums. The staff gave me many options and explained all the procedures to me. I picked a procedure and when I went to pick him up, the vet went over his x-rays, how he did, the care once we got home, and explained everything to me in very simple terms. I would use them again in a heartbeat if we had to. read more

Dr. Luskin is a caring expert in the field! Our sweet cat suffered for years from a recurring abscess in her jaw before we brought her to Animal Dental Center. Dr. Luskin was the first to identify the source of her pain. He patiently walked me through the x-rays and clearly explained the problem. After my cat's surgery, I received wonderful instructions on how to care for her during recovery. His staff were kind, compassionate, and very helpful. Dr Luskin is the BEST! I took in a rescue cat with a fused jaw. She was unable to eat or groom. Could barely get her tongue out to lap up a liquid diet. She was emaciated and malnourished. After doing ALOT of searching and getting recommendations, we made the 5 hour trip to the Animal Dental Center. Dr Luskin was so compassionate and really took the time to explain everything. Not once did we feel rushed and I felt so comfortable having him do the surgery. Turns out she had what's called an Osteoma, which is a benign tumor. He removed the tumor along with a section of her jaw which the tumor was adhered to.. Her recovery was amazing and she is now a normal cat, thanks again to Dr Luskin, who is truly a miracle worker! I would highly recommend his practice, and I do. He is an amazing surgeon. He has given her a second chance at life. Thank you to everyone at the Animal Dental Center!! read more

I was referred to Dr. Luskin from my regular vet. My rabbit was suspected to have some issues with her teeth. From the first visit i could tell that Dr. Luskin was a caring and gentle man who is in the business because he truly loves animals. I also noticed that he studied in America and Europe AND i saw a picture of him working on a polar bear's teeth! This made me confident that he knew what he was doing. When i brought Lulu (my rabbit) in for her x-rays and surgery, the staff was very professional, warm and friendly. Also, the facility is quite state-of-the-art.. Dr. Luskin and his awesome assistant, Kendall worked on her until 1 am!!! Her problem turned out to be totally unrelated to her teeth but he took care of her anyway. She needed her lymph nodes removed, which he did as well as filing down her teeth. He was very informative and thorough in explaining her problems to me. Also i was pleased that they use digital x-rays at their facility, this is important because digital x-rays are very accurate and use a considerably less about of radiation than film x-rays. I really just cant say enough good things about Dr. Luskin and his staff. My bunny is doing fantastic and i would definitely consider Dr. Luskin and Kendall her angels because they really did save her life. If your pet has a dental issue, don't even think twice about calling and making an appointment with him. read more

As a rule i always read reviews on social media prior to making a decision on anything from dining at a restaurant to finding a new dentist and yet i never wrote one. Today that all changed with Animal Dental Center. When our working schutzhund Belgian Malinios dog just two years of age broke a canine tooth by catching a rock thinking it was perhaps a ball . We started our search for the best care and relatively affordable treatment. Unfortunately for us it was Saturday morning, we were willing to drive to Ohio, Philly, Virginia and all the way to UF in Gainesville for our pup.We made many calls including to Dr Luskin office. Closed on Saturdays we left a messages and received a call back from the assistant Ziggy along with her professionalism and returned call we asked everything we could to find out from what the treatment and an estimation of the cost. (We did receive two other call backs from other offices) Ziggy called us back to answer our questions after speaking with Dr Luskin, then we had another question, she communicated with the doctor and called us back again, this went on throughout the day on Saturday for several hours, Dr Luskin making room for us on Monday morning scheduled our Malinios in. When we meet with Dr Luskin he spent a lot of time with us explaining the procedure and cost. He was very patient and thorough. Since our Malinios does not make a good patient the doctor was not able to examine his teeth until he was sedated. Just before operating on our dog he asked us to come in and show us the extent of the damages to his tooth and another tooth. The care and treatment here was top notch from Dr Tuskin and the staff . We can't say enough about how great Dr.Luskin is!! Oh and yes the cost he gave us a estimation from the low to high range depending on what needed to be done so we knew what to expect. The other veterinary dental offices that we called on Saturday finally returned our call some Monday afternoon some Monday night! read more
