MISLEADING - I am sitting outside of Aspen Towson. Where it says "Walk-ins? Come on in. Emergency? We got you." I just came here because it advertised on Google that walk-ins are welcome. I don't think it's right to have people trek the way over here and then tell people that they cannot be seen on the same day. I just had my last molar pulled and don't have a way to eat and explained that to the staff. The best they could offer me was three weeks out. I need to be able to eat and it was my thought that I could not do anything until this tooth was finally removed. I was vegan for 10 years which destroyed my dental health. I became vegan at the age of 49 and prior to that I never had one cavity during my childhood and up until I was 49 years old. My teeth fell like dominoes after 10 of veganism. It was disappointing to drive 30 minutes to find out that they don't in fact do walk-ins and that perhaps me not being able to eat would not be considered an emergency for them. I am in need of three Maryland and one partial lower plate. least they could've gotten me in for was an exam and then possibly to schedule me for a cleaning before actually doing moles or laser mapping for the bridges and partial denture.w Not really sure how I could've planned this to be any better than what it was. I visited Aspen Dental for a cleaning last summer. They did X-Rays and then said I would have to come back for a cleaning. Annoying, but whatever. At my follow up, my teeth were cleaned, the hygienist was super nice, I set a six month appointment and that was that. I had my new dental establishment. Fast forward to December, my appointment gets cancelled. It is rescheduled for January. I can't make that one so I reschedule. That one gets cancelled. I put appointments on the back burner for two months. I then call, set up another appointment, and that gets cancelled. Finally I am able to go to an appointment in May that isn't cancelled. I tell them I haven't had a cleaning since the prior summer. They take measurements of my gums and tell me I will have to return for my cleaning. What!??? Just clean my teeth please. The kicker is, when I go to check out, I'm told I need a deep cleaning and with insurance it will run me about $3,000. Uh, no thank you. I went somewhere else, somewhere that does not accept my insurance, and had X-rays, a cleaning, a super communicative and pleasant hygienist and dentist face time all in one visit. And, are you ready for this, it cost me so much less than what Aspen wanted to charge me. Sorry Aspen, I'm out. read more

Please do NOT go to Aspen Dental. They told me I had advanced periodontal disease and would need a "deep cleaning" for approximately $3,000. I finally found a new dentist who says I don't have any type of periodontal disease whatsoever. Aspen was straight up lying to me. read more

Made an appointment for a cleaning. Arrived on time and made me sit in the waiting room for 40 minutes before I had to ask if someone was going to take me for my appointment. Finally, after they took me back and did x-rays they sat me in the exam chair and that's where I sat for another 25 minutes. All I wanted was to get a cleaning. They told me I have to come back for the cleaning. They say the 1st visit is for consultation. They lied to me. I went off on them. I don't have time to waste going back and forth to the dentist. I wouldn't recommend them for my dog teeth. Poor service... read more

Avoid at all costs! Called the phone number provided to setup appointments but apparently it goes straight to a call center that have no contact with the business itself. I setup 2 different appointments for a checkup. The first I had to reschedule because they were closed for a meeting?? They neglected to locked their doors so I walked right into the middle of it. I received a confirmation of my appointment prior so I was pissed. Stupid me, I made another appointment and this time I was seen. I wasted an hour getting my mouth X-rayed and scanned. However, they didn't tell me the hygienist was out until the end so once again I was not able to get my teeth cleaned! Then I went to speak with billing after who informed me that it would cost $200 for them to do a special teeth cleaning before I could get the regular free one. I really liked Aspen Dental when I first came but I think COVID has really set them back. There used to be multiple hygienists available but now there is apparently only one. I don't blame them for that per se but the place is very disorganized if there's only one functioning hygienist. I scheduled my last dental cleaning on a day off about six weeks in advance of that day. I even got a confirmation request the week before, which I confirmed. Friday at 6 PM in advance of my appointment on a Monday, I get a phone call from a flustered receptionist that my appointment is going to be cancelled because the hygienist will be out. From what she said, it didn't seem like this was an unexpected absence so my dental cleaning got postponed to the next available date another 6 weeks away. To top all that off, I inquired about the price of dental whitening. She wasn't sure whether they offered it. She spoke to the office manager then told me yes, it's offered. "How much is it?" asked I, trying to be a smart patient. She conferred with the office manager. Neither of them knew. But since it isn't covered by my dental insurance (I checked this on my own), how do I go about scheduling it if I don't know how much it will cost? Her answer was to talk to the hygienist when I come. For the appointment that just got cancelled? No, for the appointment that's another 6 weeks away. But she thinks the cost might be $500 but don't quote her on it. This is extremely unhelpful. Overall, if my next dental cleaning is delayed yet again, I'm going to have to switch to a more functional dental practice. read more

I went in for a check-up and a cleaning. I received A++ service. I am new to the area, and this was my first time visiting the office. I arrived a little early to fill out my paperwork, but you can also download the paperwork and bring it in with you. I was taken in for x-rays soon after my paperwork was completed and then I was taken for my cleaning. Samantha did an excellent job with the cleaning, gave me some tips to on better flossing and scheduled me for my next cleaning in six months. It was a clean office with friendly staff. read more

UPDATE; Phones work again. But the office phone goes directly to voicemail. I walked INTO the office and was informed the only person who could help me was out of the office. They gave me her email. This is the same woman who NEVER CALLED BACK THE FIRST time. I've emailed her. I've also called "patient satisfaction" after reading some of the other comments left by Aspen dental saying you can always call that line. At 1:55 pm ESt on a Tuesday; you get a message saying "patient satisfaction is in a meeting please call back during normal business hour". THIS BUSINESS IS A JOKE don't waste your time or money. I may need to follow up with legal action if I cannot get a hold of anyone so that I can clear my debt. I hope someone from this company sees this and can give me an ACTUAL WAY to reach a human who can be useful. read more

I've been to Aspen for 3 appointments now, and I'm officially done. I arrive early every time (like a good patient), but they always take me very late. For example, my appointment today was at 4pm but it's now 4:20pm and they say it's going to be another 10 minutes. The only thing they offered was to reschedule my appointment after I took off work early to come and arrived early. Additionally, the first time I came I went out of my way to get my dental records sent over from my last dentist, but when I arrived they said they couldn't open the file my last dentist sent because it was a secure PDF. Did they call my dentist to get the pin number to open the PDF? No. Of course not. This office is so poorly run and it doesn't seem to phase anyone who works here. read more

My initial visit to this office was on June 13th. Everyon was pleasant and my xrays were done within a reasonable time after my arrival. I was scheduled for teeth whitening on July 11th. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that they did not have me scheduled. I showed the email confirmation to the receptionist. After approximately 15 minutes she informed me that She will have to reschedule me. I asked to speak to the manager, who happened to be sitting two chairs away. She informed me that they were transitioning from one system to another and my appointment did not appear on their system because they were double booked for that time frame. I was rescheduled for 8/1. I received a call with on 7/31telling me to call the office. I called several times and received a voicemail. I did not get a return call, so I kept calling until someone finally answered. I was told that the hygienist wanted me to have my teeth cleaned prior to the whitening. I informed her that had it done on June 13th. I asked why was I not informed before and she told me that there was a note left on my chart since July 5th. She could not give be a plausible reason why I was not informed. She said she would get back with me after conferring with the hygienist regarding the cleaning. When she called back she said that I will have to reschedule because my appointment time was not available. I told her that I will take my business else where because they are not respectful of my time. By this point I no longer have any confidence receiving any kind of service from them. This has got to be the worst establishment I've ever been in. I made an appointment for a filling, I knew I had a cavity, they told me so. Went in they did X-rays, examined my teeth, and that was it. I had to ask the dentist, can you fill this cavity, he very matter of fact says , yeah I can. 163.00 for nothing. Had to reschedule for two weeks later, get there, they don't have me on the schedule. Then they say, it looks like you need other work done before the filling.... Really what's more important than that. I believe they are waiting until it can't be fixed, so they can then do a root canal and crown. This place is so incompetent, they take money for things that don't need doing, and don't do what you want done. I would highly recommend that no one go here. I'm done, they are rude in the phone and clearly have no clue how to run an office. I would give it no start, but it's making me. read more

In the past week I had 2 appointments which amounted to nothing. Because the staff didn't do their job the first time my scheduled x-ray and fitting was canceled due to a balance at my dental insurance provider. If they had done their job efficiently this would have been discovered in my previous visit before making me come in for nothing; 2 visit wasted. In addition the receptionist was very cold and impersonal as well as others. This office was totally different then when I first visited them. I pray something changes but in the meantime I'm checking out other credible dentists in my area. Also it's so hard ever to get a real person, you ALWAYS have to leave a message and May get a callback days later. My insurance carrier called me to say she was having a problem reaching them as well to discuss this disputed balance ( United Concordia) so sad all I do now is wait. Maybe the interpersonal skills of the front office may improve, who knows? read more

I made an appointment for today, April 19th at 6:00 on March 10th. I was told that the earliest 6:00 appointment was April 19th so I took it because that's the earliest I could get there with my work schedule. When I arrived, the receptionist told me that my appointment was at 11:00 am so I missed it. I showed her the email confirmation that said 6:00, acknowledged that I was correct, and she said she would ask the dentist if she could take me but the dentist said I would have to reschedule. Well the next 6:00 appointment isn't until mid-June. So it was their mistake that they booked me the wrong appointment time and they still couldn't fit me in even though there was no one in the waiting room. I drove 40 minutes to that appointment that I waited 6 weeks for and then had to turn around and drive back home. I am disappointed and will be sure to never go back to another Aspen Dental. read more

I call on monday to make and urgent appointment, i had a broken tooth. I got it for Thursday, and arrived at 2:15 pm. Until almost 5 pm, they just took a radiography, and the dentist check my tooth, she told me I had an infection an they will send a prescription to my pharmacy. They gave me an "emergency" appointment 30 days after (ridiculous). When i went to the pharmacy, they didn't sent prescription, abd when I call Aspen, office was alredy close. So, I am here, in my bed, with a lot of pain, and I alredy waste one week bc I makecthe big mistske of make an appointment with Aspen dental. It took 4 days to finally get someone on the phone to schedule an appt. The person who "helped" me named Stefanie was supposed to call me after she created my account and verified my insurance. I called the next day and had to explain everything to her multiple times even though we had already went over the same things the previous day. Needless to say, I hung up with Stefanie and called the Dundalk location. I was immediately greeted and scheduled my appointment for the next week with none of the foolishness that I had to put up with at the Towson location. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. It took 4 business days to get someone on the phone to schedule my first appointment. At my first appointment, the bedside manner of the dentist I saw was absolutely deplorable. He didn't look me in the eyes and let his mask slip below his nose many times during the height of COVID-19. When I asked a question he looked at me, looked away and didn't answer. Then the dental hygienist who came in told me I would never have clean teeth unless I spent $130 on the toothbrush the recommend. I shared with her that I had a comparable (if not better) electric toothbrush at home to which she scoffed and told me I was wrong. This should have been the end for me but sadly it wasn't. When I returned for my second appointment, I arrived 15 minutes early for a 2pm appointment. I wasn't taken back for my appointment until 2:45pm. I was then late for a meeting because I would have thought I'd be finished a 2pm teeth cleaning by 3:45pm. Finally, my last straw occurred this afternoon as I attempted to return for my third appointment. I received the email reminder and confirmed my appointment last Thursday. Today, when I visited the online portal to ensure there weren't special instructions I found my appointment was no longer there. Have a distrust of Aspen, I called. It took three attempts to get someone on the phone. She told me that their office manager called me on Thursday and I didn't answer so they cancelled my appointment. I pulled up my phone record and there was no call, no attempt had been made. I shared this with the woman on the phone and she said "oh well you can reschedule". I obviously will not be rescheduling. Everything in every other terrible review of this practice has been solidified and I wish I had read reviews prior to scheduling an appointment with Aspen. read more

The Dental Center is the best! They totally negate the stereotype about going to the dentist. Every visit has been professional, very friendly, and smart. I have already encouraged two family and friends to try them out. read more
