I don't think it's right to have people trek the way over here and then tell people that they cannot be seen on the same day. I just had my last molar pulled and don't have a way to eat and explained that to the staff. The best they could offer me was three weeks out. I need to be able to eat and it was my thought that I could not do anything until this tooth was finally removed. I was vegan for 10 years which destroyed my dental health. I became vegan at the age of 49 and prior to that I never had one cavity during my childhood and up until I was 49 years old. My teeth fell like dominoes after 10 of veganism. It was disappointing to drive 30 minutes to find out that they don't in fact do walk-ins and that perhaps me not being able to eat would not be considered an emergency for them. I am in need of three Maryland and one partial lower plate. least they could've gotten me in for was an exam and then possibly to schedule me for a cleaning before actually doing moles or laser mapping for the bridges and partial denture.w Not really sure how I could've planned this to be any better than what it was. Very disappointing.

They were patient with every question I had, explained the plan clearly, and even sat me down afterward to walk through photos of the procedure so I understood exactly what they did. They were also able to fit us in quickly, which I appreciated more than I can say. Was it expensive? YES -- extremely!!!! But they did excellent work, treated my dog with real compassion, and called afterward to check on him. What really won me over was the level of care after surgery. They had a student hold my dog for three hours because he's a lap dog, not a crate dog and was crying post surgery.

The staff were also friendly and helpful with any questions. Great communication was maintained between them, my primary vet and CVCA. The only odd encounter that I experienced was as we were picking up my cat another person in a back room was screaming very loudly and yelling profanity. Without asking any questions as I awkwardly stood there going over paperwork, I assumed it was a staff based on the nurses response as the nurse discharging us laughed uncomfortably as she apologized profusely. Which at that point as she went back to let them know she was discharging a patient- the response was not kind. Another nurse even came out front to ask what was going on, simply laughed and went back. While I am all for fun and games amongst coworkers, I do also value professionalism when working with clients or patients.

When I told her she should have asked me that first we could have saved us some time, she's like you should have told me that first. Seriously? That was really rude. On a side note, before calling her I tried to make an online appointment on their site and after filling out the form the site breaks and throws an error. Time wasted there too. I understand technical problems happen but when you got a human receptionist with an attitude like that, there's something wrong. Hope this saves people some time.
