I learned so much about my dogs just from the original assessment. I now take my dogs there for day care, grooming and boarding. The dogs were reactive to other dogs before I started taking them and the socialization with other dogs and handlers has helped them so much. Now they are protective, not reactive, which is what I want. All the staff are wonderful and make the transfer easy and most importantly the dogs jump in the car to go and are happy when we get there. One of my dogs I had to manhandle to get in the car previously. Thats not easy with a muscled 45 pound dog!

I think there are some issues that were costly to me that might help you avoid the same. I'll start with the cons and end with the pros: Marie is all about the money and herself, first and foremost. You're not entering into a partnership. She's the boss. She can bend her rules, ask you to be flexible with scheduling and rescheduling but you can not. There is a language barrier that became more obvious over time. English is not Marie's native tongue. She also doesnt hear well (I dont either) so masking isnt an option. Lack of clarity in communication was a huge issue. Pros: Marie is positive, all positive, and uses Skinner's operant conditioning as her model. Lots of treats and rewards and ignoring the negatives. She understands dogs and their language. I saw great improvement in my dogs and their reactivity and regression in their potty habits while working with her. That improvement was in the first 3-5 sessions though. After that it was practice of the same with nothing new. I would not recommend buying a package. I quit the training with prepaid training sessions left. Ive worked with excellent trainers so maybe I'm spoiled. There's a lot of good stuff on the internet that's free, like Doggy Dan. In spite of it all, Im grateful for Marie and our time together and the improved relationships with my dogs and their more relaxed way of life since I'm more relaxed.

I was in search of a force free dog trainer after our 8 year old rescue dog had regressed after an event and had become fearful of pretty much everything and she became reactive towards my husband. I remembered a friend had worked with Marie years prior and she was highly recommended so I emailed through the website and received a very speedy, thorough and nice reply from Marie and quickly decided I wanted to work with her. We've also been working remotely with a Veterinary Behaviorist in San Francisco along with our local vet. Although we had not gotten her stabilized on medications, we started training right away. There were months of trying different medications and different doses, and our dog having bad side effects. We had Zoom sessions with Marie throughout this time and she was so helpful and supportive with giving us ideas and suggestions of what to try to get her from being in a frozen state of fear and building her trust and confidence. I just wanted my scared girl to stop hiding and be able to relax on the couch like she used to do. Marie has been so accommodating with our schedule (there were weeks I would postpone and reschedule due to our rescue girl not feeling well). Marie encouraged us to video our training and she would analyze the videos and she has taught me so much about our dogs body language. We have been working with Marie for about 4 months and have seen great improvement. She is off all behaviorial medications and rarely hides. She is much more tolerant of noises and is now eager and more engaged when we train. She is happier and more playful than she's ever been. We never would have gotten this far without Marie's guidance. She truly cares about her clients. She is so knowledgeable and is amazing at what she does. Thank you Marie for helping us build a better relationship with our sweet girl and helping her to gain more confidence!

Joey was in and out of this hospital through some very serious moments. He had to be induced many times, undergo emergency procedures, and face situations where I truly didn't know if I would get more time with him. And every single time, this team showed up--with skill, urgency, and unwavering dedication. They didn't just treat him... they gave him more life. Because of them, Joey lived to 15 years and 2 months--time I know I wouldn't have had otherwise. That is something I can never repay. But what truly sets this hospital apart is their compassion. Every doctor, every technician, every staff member treated Joey like he was their own. And they treated me with such kindness and patience through every high and every devastating low. When it came time to say goodbye, they handled his final moments with a level of grace and humanity that I will never forget. There was no rush, no clinical coldness--only quiet compassion. They made space for love, for dignity, and for a peaceful goodbye. In the middle of the hardest moment of my life, they created something that felt gentle... and even beautiful. Joey wasn't just a patient there. He was known, he was loved, and he was fought for. And I will be forever grateful to this team for giving me the gift of more time with my boy--and for helping me say goodbye to him in the most compassionate way possible. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart

I've only had two interactions, one photoshoot, with her and I am so jealous of the next state that she gets to call home. Hawaii is going to be missing a wonderful family and absolutely extraordinary pet photographer. So you may know her for her beach and outdoor photos, but when I scheduled our session I asked for something very opposite. My husband is not much a photo taker since his whole life was recorded on camera and I really wanted to document nice family photos of our staycation. Also Komori (the real important one) is not an beach or outdoorsy pup unless he's at a dog park so I asked Ashley how she felt about shooting at a hotel we were staying at. I was so glad she was up and ready for the different environment. She's fun and professional and knows her way around bonding with pups that allows her to get the shot that everyone wants. Big eyes, silly tongue, double cheek kisses, everything you could ask for and more. I am truly grateful for her the and in awe at the effort that she puts into capturing every families important memories. The investment is so worth it over and over again.

I had never boarded my…read morefurbaby before and being somewhat of an overprotective mother had always preferred to have Hana stay at home with a trusted friend or family member rather than take her somewhere to be cared for while I traveled. But due to changing circumstances, I had to consider boarding recently. Sifting through the options on Oahu was daunting, but one choice stood out: The Cat's Meow Inn. From the very moment I inquired about boarding to even after my Hana was returned to me at the end of her cat staycation, Heather and Jamie of The Cat's Meow Inn showed me and Hana what superior service is. If you have never boarded your precious feline before and need to, The Cat's Meow Inn is the very best choice you can make! Read on for why. Heather is very thorough and her attention to detail in screening me and my cat was exemplary. Her process assured me that my pet would be entering and staying in only the most safe, clean, healthy, and supportive environment. The Cat's Meow Inn is the ONLY 24/7 cats only boarding operation, which put my mind at ease knowing that someone would be with my animal in the event of an emergency and also that my pet would not be traumatized by the presence of other four-legged species. (Let's face it, cats are the most singularly discerning of domesticated pets. Sometimes, even I wonder why she lets me stick around.) In addition to safety, sterility and round-the-clock security, Heather and Jamie do their utmost to provide a luxurious, spa-like experience for your pet. I received daily photos and text check-ins from Heather (all-included in the daily cost). Hana stayed in a private, spacious and cats-only environment on a memory foam cat bed (no cages!!) with bird and gecko TV, playtime on some really cool cat furniture, and was given lots of loving attention from Heather and Jamie. (I'm a little envious ...) Heather and Jamie also provided free pick-up and drop-off! I think Hana got a better vacation than I did! And all of this comes at the low fee of only $25/day, far below the other boarding facilities in Honolulu who offer less, have several restrictions, and charge a far heftier daily fee. I am now a firm supporter of cat boarding, but will only choose The Cat's Meow Inn. I am so grateful to Heather and Jamie for their amazing accommodations, high standards, and superior customer service and hospitality for Hana. I was really very stressed about how I was going to solve the care issue for my Hana and The Cat's Meow Inn took all of that stress away. If you are considering boarding, do not hesitate to book with them. You and your feline will be glad you did. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Extortion at its finest…read more No, Heather, I've never personally spoken to you, but my partner has--for hours. Apparently, you mistake paying clients for an open-mic audience to fill the void of your own social life. The only reason this isn't a zero-star review is because our cats came back completely fine both times, and your husband was actually pleasant. For professionalism, however, you get negative 4.7 billion stars. This goes far beyond the uncomfortably long hostage situations you disguise as "information verification." Back in March, we booked you for a month-long stay in June 2026. It was close to $2,000--not pocket change for us. So imagine our absolute bewilderment when, exactly two weeks before we were set to leave the country for a month, you asked us for a $1,500 loan. What a wild, unprecedented business model: soliciting a Paycheck Protection Program loan directly from your own patrons. We aren't here to keep your business afloat. I actually know exactly what the money was for, but here's a thought: maybe just raise your prices? Though, honestly, I find it hard to believe anyone is going to pay a premium to listen to you babble. After a long discussion, we decided we couldn't fund your personal requests. You assured us it wouldn't be an issue if we declined. That was after two separate phone calls begging for cash, during which you actually offered to "just run our card on file." You know, the emergency credit card you required us to leave with you. The sheer audacity to suggest violating our financial trust like that is staggering. My partner was understandably stressed as our departure grew near, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt because I try to trust people. Then came the barrage of six or seven texts still chasing the money. It was desperate, unhinged behavior. Predictably, exactly seven days before we left the island, you canceled our reservation. Fortunately for us, your behavior was so alarming that my partner had already canceled that credit card and scouted your competitors. One of them took us in last minute. If you want to run a business instead of a predatory text-thon, I suggest looking up the definition of boundaries.
