I've been coming to Waimanalo Feed Supply since 2017 and it's my go to on island for all things equine. They are friendly and really go the extra mile. When I am off island and my husband is the one making the pickups/running for me they help to make it as easy as possible for him and his crazy work schedule). There have been products I've needed that they don't carry and they will work with me and the distributor to get it in. Honestly they are just good, reliable home folks. I buy my alfalfa hay (and pellets) from there and it is consistently very good quality. For a nominal fee they will wrap the bales in individual large black bags (which is excellent if you're loading them inside a suburban or enclosed vehicle and you don't want hay blowing everywhere) or if you're transporting in the bed of a truck, they will plastic wrap it in case you hit one of the Hawai'i rain showers in the middle of transport. Wormer, fly spray, vet wrap, electrolytes, shampoo ... all the things, yes please. They are family owned and carry a whole slew of products for pets, livestock, backyard (or all over yard) chickens LoL! Goats, swine, horses, fish, poultry, I think rabbits, too! ... They carry food and other supplies for your animals. It's a huge warehouse that does a lot of volume and the you know you are getting fresh products. I called Waimanalo Feed Supply on 6/28/2022 and the man that answered the phone was extremely rude, unprofessional and had a horrible attitude. He was trying to rush me off the phone the entire time I was trying to talk and ask questions regarding a product they carry. He seemed very angry and miserable and he took his anger out on me. He hung up on me after I asked the simple question of "do you have it in stock?". My experience with this particular staff member was extremely rude, unprofessional, angry and miserable. I have also spoken to him in the past, and he is always this way. If he doesn't like or appreciate his job, he shouldn't be working there. Update 04/10/2023: I have been a loyal customer to Waimanalo Feed Supply for years, though every time I come here, the staff always look at me as if I'm weird or suspicious and they tend to watch me as if they think I'm going to steal, which makes me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Also, there have been many times when I have asked, in regards to items they sell, if they had any more in the back as they only had a couple on the shelf and I needed more and/or wanted to compare items as I wouldn't want to pay for something that is not as fresh and I would like to get my moneys worth. I have only been to one feed store on Oahu haha maybe because I live in town and the stables is located in Waimanalo. Anywho, this feed store is super convenient and also pretty busy. It has a bunch of stuff to buy for all types of animals. We only buy horse or dog stuff but from what i've seen the register they have for other animals also. They have things for the humans also like Icee, which my mother always seems to buy. It's a fast ring up and you don't have to worry about loading all of your huge bags of feed or hay in a wagon because the lovely staff come and wheel it to your vehicle!! I used to breed and raise bunnies and for all of you that do, you know it can get costly. We use Crown Bedding for their poop boxes as our bunnies are litter box trained like cats. We used to go to the pet store around where we live but after a while it got costly as we go through bags. Being thrifty as we are, we called the company to see if we could by a pallet (yes a whole pallet) and they referred us to Waimanalo Feed Store. First thing came into my head we dang this is far. Yes I'm a typical townie and anything outside of Honolulu is far. Just kidding, I actually drive around for my job so I usually plan to go down there when I go to Kailua as it's not that far from the hospital. This place is like a mom and pop grocery store that sells animal stuff or a pet supply store that sells groceries. Either or, they have great prices on everything my bunnies could ever want and then some. Toys, treats, big bags of Timothy hay, and Ox Bow food as it is one of the best pellets to give your bunnies and of course the Crown Bedding which is why I went there in the first place. They even have an Aquaculture Equipment Food & Supply section. I don't know why some people wrote some negative things about some people that work there as I have been going here for the past 6 years and never had a problem with anyone. I have questions they try and answer it as best as they can and fill my order and I'm out going back to being a townie. One thing I noticed on that side of the island is that mostly everyone has the aloha spirit. You are waiting to merge and people actually stop and let you go. IF THEY DON'T GOT IT, IT'S NOT REAL Twice, Waimanalo Feed Supply was the only place that had what I was looking for. I few years ago I was looking for a thick tub for fishes and nowhere had exactly what I wanted. I stopped over this place for some fish for my pong and found it! Recently I was looking for a specific horse medication that can be used for my rabbits and every pet store and feed supply place I called didn't have; but Waimanalo Feed Supply did. This place has become my GO-TO supply store. Since I live in Kalihi, I try to call them to make sure they have what I am looking for. What I really love about this place is their wide variety in feeds and supplies. They have food for every single legal animal in Hawaii and multiple brands and sizes of each product. They also have medication and supplies for all your pets too. Since I am an aspiring urban farmer, I am really intrigued by their expansion of the aquaponics section. I tried making my own at home and was unsuccessful. Since I have seen all of their supplies and fish, it is a one stop shop for aquaponics. I just need to find a spot in my yard and save up some money to purchase all the necessary supplies to build one at home. I will definitely come to them to help with making my aquaponics. I went to petco and was recommended to this place for chicken feed. In petco, employee told me chickens eat a lot and buying food from them would be unsustainable because it's expensive. I've looked amazon and it's still a bit pricey, $30-35 for 25lbs of food. I admit waimanalo feed is pretty fart from where I live (makakilo) but it's totally worth coming here. Our go to place! We get our timothy hay here-the hay is fresh and green. Once in a great while we get a bag with more woody parts. They bag it in small and large (i think 3# and 9# sizes) clear bags so you can kind of check it out. The prices are A LOT cheaper than those big box stores. They carry a lot of small animal supplies like the Oxbow brand and the prices are good. Our chicken gets her feed here too- all kinds-scratch, layers- whatever you need. Our super-fantastic vet recommends a special kind of food, hay, and bedding for our bunnies. Oxbow brand products are like Science Diet for bunnies, but because most people think of rabbits as disposable simple little critters, most don't care for them the way we do. I had a hard time finding food and hay for may bunny-babies. Only one store in town carries Oxbow food and hay and they aren't cheap. But they don't carry Oxbow bedding. ONLY WAIMANALO FEED SUPPLY carries the all the Oxbow products I need for my bunny-babies. And they are cheaper than the other guys. Their service is great too--nice people working there. And it's a beautful drive out to the country, so I really don't mind so much after all. read more

The shop is located next to the Waimanalo 7-11, and you enter from the main road and exit out the back. There's limited parking, but i've never had any problems because it never gets crowded mornings on weekdays. They're even a general store. I've seen people buying milk and cereal with their feed. Three years ago I had no clue on pond systems or farm raising tilapia. I came here in search of a good hobby for my Mom who was mourning my Dad's passing. Together we built a pond with a rock waterfall and filled it with koi. Adorned with plants and flowers It's a beautiful place for relaxing ,meditation and even yelping. All of our pond supplies which included a 300 gal. oval shell,filtering system,feed and fish were all purchased here with the help of Stan Kodama. Shortly after I got started on a second pond for raising tilapia (the hybrid red kind). Since it is a highly sustainable fish we've shared our yeild with relatives and friends, prepared countless receipes of this delicious fish and even served it sashimi style. My next project is to start an aquaponics self sustaining system with edible vegetables and fish. When i had my chinchilla this would be the BEST PLACE TO GET HAY AND HIS FOOD.. sad enough to say, i had to give my baby away. but if i was to ever get another small animal again, i would go to Waimanalo Feed Supply. The ONLY downside to this place is the distance! compared to all the other businesses in town, this place is very far from me. took me almost 30-45 mins to get here from my house. my chinchillas hay was always lower then $10, his food would be about the same, and his toys were also very cheap! i loved coming to this place! But this would be a trip that i would only take once a month. but if you have a rabbit, chinchilla or rat, this would be the best place to go to buy food, hay and toys! read more

I found Parvo and Leptospirosis Vaccine for my puppy. If you go to your Vet it will cost you around $150, got it for $10 per vaccine. If you don't mind giving the shots yourself to your puppy you can save yourself alot of money. read more
