Later, when I called to ask what time I needed to bring him in and what the cost would be, I was told there was no appointment in the system. What really earned this review was the attitude. Instead of trying to figure out what happened, I was basically told that I was mistaken. Apparently I imagined scheduling an appointment two weeks ago and confirming it that morning. Mistakes happen. Losing appointments happens. Treating customers like they're making things up instead of helping solve the problem is what earns a 1-star review. Based on my experience, the negative reviews make a lot more sense now.

Review for Banfield Pet Hospital - Hialeah (Dr. Juliana Miranda)…read more I've been deeply disappointed with the care and approach at this Banfield location, particularly from Dr. Juliana Miranda. My cat has a lifelong skin condition that causes severe itching and rashes. He's been doing very well on a daily medication prescribed previously, but Dr. Miranda has repeatedly refused to approve refills unless I bring him in for additional (and very costly) tests. These tests are unnecessary for his condition and feel like an excuse to generate revenue rather than provide genuine care. Each visit ends up costing more than $200 for procedures that don't improve his quality of life -- only my stress and expenses. When I explained that I had lost my job and couldn't afford another round of testing, she still refused to approve the medication that keeps my cat comfortable and symptom-free. It's heartbreaking that a veterinarian would rather withhold an essential medication than show compassion for both the pet and the owner's circumstances. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone who values empathy and ethical veterinary care.

Both of my dogs were recommended multiple "tests," but I was never given a clear diagnosis or a proper explanation of why those tests were necessary. The customer service was also poor. They make you feel as if they are doing you a favor by offering additional services, rather than providing compassionate and professional care. To make matters worse, they lost my dogs' vaccination paperwork, which resulted in me receiving a fine. Thankfully, I had my own copy and had to go in person to the city to resolve the issue. The city compliance inspector told me this is a recurring problem with Banfield Doral. There are much better places that truly show love, care, and responsibility toward pets. I would not recommend this location.
