She says... we don't have any appointments and you'll have to start the series of vaccines all over again. Obviously I'm not going to do that so I got her records and called another vet. They were more than accommodating and squeezed me in one day later. It's too bad that I'll never go back... Dr Savage is really a great doctor. I really liked her, but I'm not going to deal with some nasty person at the front desk.

Veterinary Hospital denial of poor service. My friends dog…read morewas operated on for a fatty and "Precancerous" growth in his groin. The hospital removed the mass, further tests reviewed, "No" Precancerous cells. Hmm a miracle, or a ploy to have the procedure done? Also Frank, the dog was sent home with a partially open wound and no antibiotics. He was taken back a few days later and they claimed further treatment had to be done somewhere because it was beyond their capabilities, they recommended BluePearl. (Great Clinic we discovered) Blue Pearl saw that there was a severe infection, an abscess and necrotic tissue because of the wound being poorly closed as well no meds prescribed following his procedure. The hospital refused any further medical care based on their inability to properly care for a family pet. But made excuses for his condition, jumping, running, ect, he was caged during his entire recovery with a donut on his neck.

He is an absolute gem of a human being and an outstandingly knowledgeable animal health provider. He takes his time, offers explanations, and will do his best to keep your visit cost at a minimum. What I specifically appreciate is his willingness to see your animal as soon as possible, but take his time to go over options and preventative care. He really considers the whole animal. When my childhood dog passed after 16 years - we rescued her from Oxford so she only ever saw Dr. Glidden - he was very comforting and sympathetic for us and our girl. After working with us and our yellow lab, Lacey, for so long, it was emotional for everyone involved. Since Lacey passed, I now have two poodle mix that go to Lakeville - one being a puppy. The staff has been so accommodating in helping us get the puppy, George, used to the vet experience. When our older dog got his annual vaccines, they gave the shots right in the room with us, which helped our Louis stay comfortable. Dr. Glidden and his team were quick, gentle, and respectfully aware of his body language. It kept our pup's stress to a minimum. The building interior was recently redone and looks wonderful. Not to mention, the front desk staff are kind and helpful. You can tell they really love the animals. I now live 40 minutes from Oxford, but I will continue to trust my pups only to Dr. Glidden and his team. He is the best and I genuinely mean that!!

However I learned very quickly that the food was there because you would wait 45+ minutes before you were pulled back into the room, the vets had no idea about the pet's history because of the high turnover rate, and the prices were sky high to afford all the fancy upgrades. McLaughlin is completely different-here's why: The office itself isn't anything fancy, but the staff is exceptional. Dr. McLaughlin is extremely knowledgeable and patient with the animals, and Angie is a wealth of knowledge as well. My dog LOVES coming here, although that might be from all of the treats he gets! Since there is only one vet the waiting room is always empty, and they are able to get you into the exam room right away. It's perfect if you have a reactive dog since the chances of seeing another pet are very slim. I'm always amazed at how well they know their patients as well. My grandma takes her dogs here and so do my parents, but when I give my name over the phone they immediately know what pets I have and what he was in for last time. Overall, Dr. McLaughlin and his staff are exceptional, providing excellent care and advice with a personal touch not often found at a vet. The only negative is they do not keep appointment times. They may put you in a little "care" room, but you end up waiting a ways past your appointment time before someone comes to take care of your pet.
