Animal House is wonderful! Great selection of Primal and Stella & Chewy and delicious treats. And the staff always treats Pandora like a princess! Support local businesses and shop with them!

I adopted my shepherd mix Molly from the spca in January of last year and found this spot shortly after and they have been AMAZING. The owner volunteers at the spca as well and knew my dog the instant she saw her as she was her intake volunteer there. Such a small world and they clearly love and care about animals here. From fitting my dogs harness 1.5 years ago to just today working with me to figure out an upgraded kibble for her that fit my price range they are just 10/10. I did the 75% old food mix with 25% new food to start tonight and she was actively seeking out the new kibble in her bowl - she clearly loves it. This type of care and attention and love for animals is why you support small businesses they deserve more than 5 stars! So glad to be in the neighborhood after my move and I can now buy Molly's food from them and be a regular there! Thank you for everything you guys do

Animal House is a cute little mom and pop pet store on Waller, a magical street in the Lower Haight. We first checked out this store, searching for the obscure pet food brand the shelter stared our kitties on. Unfortunately, Animal House didn't have it but that's nothing against them because nowhere else in SF did either (including the big chains!). Now we like to go to Animal House to pick up new toys and snacks for our cats (read: catnip). Only the freshest nip for my cats, organic and potent. They have a few cats who roam around the shop and sleep in the windows at night. Animal House has the feel, smell, and look I've come to attribute my fav SF mom and pop pet stores- wooden, small but organized space, and lots of character!

One of the things we appreciated most was how organized and reliable she was. Scheduling was always seamless, and she was incredibly accommodating whenever we needed to make changes or fit our dog into her schedule. We always felt like we could count on her. Janell also did an amazing job keeping us updated. She sent tons of photos after walks and adventures, and they weren't just quick snapshots--they were genuinely great pictures that captured how much fun the dogs were having. At the end of each year, she even put together a photo calendar for us, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. Our dog absolutely loved her pack walks. Janell coordinated all of the pickups and drop-offs, making everything effortless for us. She also took the dogs to a variety of locations throughout San Francisco, which gave our dog plenty of enrichment, exercise, and new experiences. Most importantly, our dog adored Janell. Every time she pulled up to pick him up, he would get unbelievably excited. It was obvious how much he loved spending time with her, and that gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing he was in such caring and capable hands. Janell is professional, dependable, thoughtful, and clearly loves what she does. Any dog would be lucky to spend time with her, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she did for our family.

When we started, Spoon could be unpredictable and we weren't always sure how to help him succeed. Through her guidance, patience, and consistency, he's become a much more confident and well-behaved dog. He now follows a routine, responds to commands, and has successfully transitioned into her group walks twice a week. What impressed us most is how in tune she is with dogs and their behavior. She has a natural ability to understand what they need while also teaching owners how to communicate with them effectively. As first-time dog owners, that support was invaluable. We're so grateful for everything she's done for Spoon and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring trainer.

WLTDO is the place! As an anxious dog owner myself, it makes me nervous to have my dog with strangers or unknown dogs. The owner, Lauren made me feel immediately comfortable and welcome and she took the time to talk about, meet, and understand my dog, his needs and my needs to match him with an appropriate doggie play group and dog walker. Shoutout to my dog walker Brandon, he is so kind, helpful and always sends me pictures of my guy playing, active and having a blast with other dogs. Shoutout also to Apollo who has watched my dog for 3 trips I've been on from the lengths of 3-6 nights. He did an incredible job and was very communicative. My dog absolutely loves time with Brandon and Apollo and the other doggies Who Let The Dogs Out (WLTDO) is reasonably priced compared to other companies and I could not been more grateful to have found them. Going back to my job this week 8-4. I have a lot of peace of mind, knowing my dog has found a doggy playgroup for an hour every day that will come to the home and take him to a doggy park and give him some excitement and social socialization in the middle of the day so I am not panicking to get home at the end of each day like I used to be. Thank you so much WLTDO team!

We brought our foster dog to Pet Camp in hopes of helping build his confidence but ended up being super disappointed and confused during the whole experience and felt that Pet Camp really failed him. Scheduling the appointment wasn't too hard, they said they'd reach out to me via phone to finish our profile for our dog. We set up a time and they did not reach out, like they said, but I was able to call them the following day and finish setting up the profile. For his first day, we included a bag with his prescription grade wet and dry food- along with a couple toys, an article of clothing for smelling etc.- these were all things that we were asked to bring but when my partner went to drop him off, Pet Camp thought he was being boarded "because of all the stuff he has" (??). Pick up went smooth but when we got home we realized they did not pack his wet food back into his bag, which we thought was strange since the can was brand new. After talking to my partner, we also realized that no one had confirmed with either of us how much our dog was supposed to be fed per meal!! We had to call the next morning and check in on both of these things since we had planned to bring him back that day.... They were apologetic about not checking in on his portion sizes and confirmed how much they fed him, which wasn't far off. They also said they will keep the wet food in the fridge, if the dog is coming back the next day...all of that seemed good. When we went to pick up our dog after the second day, we let them know we would not be scheduling him for another session at that time. When we got home, we realized we were charged a different price than the day before. It turns out they stuck our dog in the most expensive group, which is allowing him (a 10lb tiny chiweenie) to hang out with all of the big and small dogs outside for the entire day, with only an hour inside to eat and nap. Our dog is a timid tiny dog and the package that was chosen for him at the beginning was partial outside and partial 1:1 time with a councilor. This was very different and not what he needed or wanted. Another thing we noticed was, of course, no wet food was brought back on the second day (even after we confirmed that he will not be returning). We now need to wait for a new prescription from his vet to get another refill on his food since that was his last can. When we called Pet Camp later that day to figure out why we were charged extra, we learned about them putting him in the other group and were not offered any sort of refund of the difference or real explanation as to why they made this choice. We were just told they were sorry and he had "fun playing all day". Too many basic communication issues and I don't feel safe leaving my dog here. It seems all of their negative reviews share the same complaint about communication.
