I have two large Newfoundlands that I needed to relocate to Seoul for a job. My wife and I don't have kids of the Homo Sapiens persuasion, but of the canine persuasion. They mean the world to us, and the biggest anxiety that I had from moving from the US to Seoul was getting my dogs over there safely. I called many different Animal moving companies to interview them and see if they were the ones I wanted to use. After calling 7 or 8 different companies, and looking at reviews, I called Animal Land. I first talked to Sunny, and she was the one that initially sold me on using Animal Land over all of the other companies. She was nice, knowledgable, and you could tell that she really cared about what she did, and helping animals move with their families. Once my wife and I chose Animal Land, we started working with Dana Fanning, she is the moving specialist. She is the most amazing lady that I have ever met (please don't tell my wife). Throughout the process Dana helped me navigate everything that I would have to do to avoid quarantine, and to get my pups over to Korea as easily as possible. I didn't have to fill out any of the paperwork, and make any phone calls about them getting over to Korea. Dana filled out everything, and just told me what appointments I needed to make for my dogs at the vet. She held my hand, or my dogs paws the whole way. She double checked that all of the paperwork that I had was properly filled out, and that there was no doubt of what I had to have with the dogs for the move. Her communication is absolutely wonderful. One of the interesting challenges that we had, the size of my dogs. The biggest kennel that is mass produced is not big enough for my dogs to travel in. Again, with Dana's help, not a problem. She had kennels specially built for my dogs, and waiting for me at the airport terminal upon arrival at the airport. They are great and extremely well put together kennels. After arriving in Seoul, Gina, met my dogs and helped get them through the immigration process. Gina even sent pictures of my dogs to us so that we could see them. Some of the immigration officials were afraid of my dogs because of their size. Gina and her team helped the officials see that they were really nice dogs, and they passed through immigration without any incident. When the pups got to your new home, they were in the greatest spirits, and very happy to be reunited with us. One telling fact about how good this went. My dogs now cry to go into the garage and get into their kennels. If they had been mistreated in any way, that would not be the case. I want to thank Dana, Gina, Sonny, and all the rest of their team. They safely got my pups to Seoul. The most amazing people that I have ever worked with. When I met my wife, I knew my world was going to change beyond all recognition. Not only had I met someone with whom I could not imagine my life without but she had two pups, Cozy and Charlie. All lives are complicated when a new relationship starts. The main complicating factor in our relationship was The Atlantic, I live in England and my wife in Atlanta. It was decided that my wife and the pups would come to England. After speaking with a number of parties, my wife and I decided to engage the services of Pet Movers. Most importantly of all, we were provided updates throughout the time the pups were travelling so that my wife and I knew at each stage where the pups were. Beth from Animal Land Pet Movers went above and beyond in helping my fiancé and I to move our furbabies not only across the country, but halfway across the Pacific as well (from Michigan to Hawaii). Animal Land Pet Movers provided all the documentation needed for us to fill out, verified our records with vets, triple checked the documents in the airport hangar when the dogs were dropped off, and gave us copies of everything. If you were not aware, Hawaii is one of the most difficult places to relocate a pet to and Animal Land Pet Movers made this process easy for all of us. Our German Shepherd and Siberian Husky are both young dogs (under two years each) whom are well behaved in the household and are therefore, not crated during the day. They have also been known to be (quite) talkative (the husky sings the song of his people whenever he is crated) and have a knack for the art of escape. Needless to say, moving from Michigan to Hawaii, we were both nervous and anxious for our furbabies to endure multiple flights (the distance makes direct flights hard to come by) and arrive on the island safely in their crates. The very last thing I wanted to read was story about a husky running all over the tarmac after having escaped from a potty break--thankfully, no such story was written about my husky (lol). The staff whom aided with their travel were wonderful as well and clearly demonstrated patience and understanding with our boys. Throughout the entirety of the relocation process, Beth was highly communicative, thorough, flexible, and was even able to book the flights for each dog sooner than initially requested. Any question we had was returned with a prompt and detailed answer and the staff physically moving the dogs on each side of the trip were kind and gracious in their confirmation phone calls and asked if we had any other questions throughout each step of the process. Our boys made the trip safely and were quite tired from all the excitement but were very happy to see us and our new home. Warning: VERY PAWSITIVE REVIEW ahead! My family and I recently relocated to Germany for a military PCS. After unsuccessfully being able to secure two spaces on a military flight for our dog and cat, we began to reach out to several pet relocation services. Animal Land Pet Movers - World Wide Pet Relocation was by far the most responsive service we reached out to. Barbara answered every email I had about the process and what to expect in a timely manner. The other companies would literally take days to respond. Once we decided to book their services, we were paired with an expert move counselor. Natalie, our counselor, saw us through the entire process and more. She was easy to get a hold of (via phone and email), handled the booking of flights, coordinated details with United Airlines, communicated with our vet and aphis, and more. I really cannot praise her efforts enough. When we arrived to our airports United Airlines cargo hold, we were immediately told the kennel we had for our dog was too small (which Natalie said could be an issue). It was 5:30 in the morning and we had no idea what we would do. No pet store would be opening for hours... and by then it would be too late to check her in for a flight, etc. Talk about going into panic mode!! I immediately called Natalie who quickly made some phone calls to United and other Animal Land Pet Movers team members. As a result, she was able to coordinate a kennel swap that would take place at our pets layover in New Jersey. This way, she would be able to comfortably fly into Germany without the possibility of being denied due to kennel size. Our crisis was averted, thank goodness. Barbara and Beth were extremely instrumental in flying our two boys: a Pomeranian and Pug safely from Chicago to Hong Kong (with no quarantine time). We chose to use a pet relocation company since we didn't want to risk having quarantine time (and I've heard many horror stories from people who had to deal with it). I was first in contact with Barbara via email and phone--a really helpful and sweet lady. We could tell that she's very knowledgeable about relocating pets around the world which gave us the confidence to go forward. Additionally, we received a full-service quote that was very competitive to other relocation firms in the United States and Singapore. She assigned us to Beth, who is an expert in importing dogs to Hong Kong. We were notified right away about which shots were needed, which crates to get and what the timeline for the paperwork was before the flight. We first had to get one of our dogs an AVID microchip (9 digits no letters) since he had a Homeagain chip that wasn't accepted in Hong Kong. Next, they each needed a Lepto shot and Rabies shot within a year. Both our dogs had 3 year rabies shots, but one of them had to get another dose of 1 year rabies vaccination since the shot was given over a year ago. The process went extremely smoothly. Beth had all the paperwork filled out the week before the flight. She had very clear instructions on which parts the Vet needed to fill out and where to get the paperwork endorsed by the USDA. She kindly worked with our vet's office whenever they had questions, and was extremely accessible whenever I had to reach her via email or phone. Beth had the flights booked (using a reputable airline, KLM) and the pups had a stop over at a pet hotel in Amsterdam. It gave us peace of mind knowing that they were in safe hands with people we could trust. When our little boys arrived in Hong Kong, they were so excited and seemed really happy. I can't thank Animal Land Pet Movers enough for making our move from New York to Hong Kong as stress-free as humanly possible. Over the last few months(!!), through our conversations, Dana mentally and physically prepared us for this day so very patiently. Absolutely flawless service! I was a particularly difficult customer as I had many worries and concerns and my 3 cats were in boarding in Las Vegas, USA while I had already had to flown to England. All the vet checks, flight logistics and all documentation was organised with my vets where my cats were boarding. Animal land ensured the correct documents were completed and had them couriered from the vets to the relevant agencies as I was unable to be there to be involved in this process. They arranged for my cats to be collected from the boarding facility, checked that their crates were suitable and made any necessary changes, organised a comfort stop for them on route, completed customs clearance and delivered my very relaxed cats to my door. When my husband and I found out In November that we had orders to Hawaii, our first concern was how to get our dogs there and deal with all the red tape involved. We were on a short timeline. I did some research and called Pet Movers. My first conversation was with Barbara. She spent 45 minutes with me answering all my questions and explaining the process. No pressure whatsoever. After deciding to use Pet Movers, Beth Hendry was assigned as our "counselor". And that she was. I highly recommend animal land pet movers. My family and I moved from the Houston area to Abu Dhabi (which, as it turns out, is a difficult country to transport pets to) and needed help with moving our two cats. Sonny was very responsive, clear and easy to work with initially while discussing fees and contracts. Dana took over from there and did a fantastic job communicating with our TX vet and the family watching our cats back home. She kept everyone involved informed about the next steps and helped us all navigate this confusing process. One thing that really impressed us (and told us we had contacted the right company for the job) is that Sony and Dana actually knew the relocation person in our Abu Dhabi vet's office! Those personal relationships were very helpful and assured us, early on, that this company did, indeed, have the experience we were hoping for. Delta changed its policy for moving pets overseas and we were required to use a pet mover to our beloved poodle from Florida to Brussels. We have experience moving our dog ourselves internationally in the past and were not impressed with Delta's policy, and the added cost to us. Nonetheless, Animal Land Pet Movers did an overall excellent job keeping us informed of their process, contact points and providing us with the needed contact details and tracking numbers. The only quibble I have is that it was 24 hours from drop off in Atlanta to pick-up in Brussels. (Although we flew direct to Brussels with our smaller doge in the cabin with us, our bigger dog needed to leave earlier and travel via Frankfurt, Germany). Once on the aircraft, the treatment of our pup was out of the pet mover's hands. It appears he was given some water at some point, but was not fed, nor did he appear to get a potty break anywhere along the way. This is not the fault of Animal Land, but I wanted to put that out there for the awareness of people who need to ship their pets internationally. Overall, Dana and Colleen took very good care of our dog and we appreciated both their professionalism and empathy when dealing with our cherished family member. read more

I can't say enough about the service we received from Animal Land. We needed to move our boxer to Maui from Ohio and were overwhelmed with the steps required to get him here. We called Animal Land and everything was taken care of from there. Our representative, Marlee, coordinated with our Ohio vet to make sure we had the correct rabies certificate and health certificate. She monitored the results of his blood work through the Kansas State University lab, emailed us all the necessary paperwork and kept us up-to-date all the way to his travel date. Animal Land made all travel arrangements and worked with my sister-in-law to make sure he was ready for travel since he had to stay behind to wait for the results of his blood work. The actual travel couldn't have gone smoother. Marlee was in touch with all carriers and kept us informed at every step. Animal Land even had a representative meet our dog in Honolulu, get him through quarantine, and put him on a plane to Maui so all we had to do was pick him up. If you are moving to Hawaii with a pet, I highly recommend calling Animal Land. It was worth every penny. read more

We used Animal Land Pet Movers to move our two dogs from Georgia to Australia. The requirements to get dogs to Australia is extremely complicated and virtually impossible for someone who is not an expert. Dana took care of everything for us and was always there to answer my questions and ensure that all of my vet visits and paperwork from the vet were accurate. I was nervous throughout their time traveling but Dana kept me updated about the status consistently, putting my mind at ease. One of the things that made me feel really comfortable was the fact that Dana always referred to our dogs by their names and not just our "dogs." This made me feel from the beginning that she understood how important they are to our family and that we were not just another client. They are now here safely and getting settled in. I cannot say enough nice things about Dana and when it is time for us to move back to the U.S. we will definitely be contacting her and the folks at Animal Land to get our pups back home. I'm not an Animal Land customer or a pet shipper, however, I am a pet owner with knowledge on pet shipping. I felt the need to comment given that one review was extremely inaccurate and companies such as this rely on reviews to some extent for future business. Aircraft used by airlines in the pet shipping program DO have climate controlled holds for pets/animal transportation. If you believe your pet's crate will be bumped and crushed by your luggage....you're wrong, luggage and crates are in different cargo areas. Restrictions during summer months are in relation to temperatures reached on the tarmac and while the cargo doors are open while the plane is being loaded/unloaded for significant periods. Pet shipping IS an expensive process, I would recommend AGAINST shipping a pet yourself internationally. Good luck if you do because its a minefield and you'll probably fail at more than one stage resulting in your pet not flying when you wanted or not at all due to incorrect veterinary processes being followed. read more

I just moved from San Francisco to the UK and after discovering most vets don't have any idea of what is required to get your dogs out of the country I decided to hire pet movers. At first I felt like I was being silly, I mean how hard could it possibly be? There are a ton of nuances in the process and if you don't get them right it could be a huge nightmare. However, Beth and the wonderful people I worked with got all of the details figured out and 5 hours after my dogs landed in London they were ready to be picked up and brought home. I'd like to add that you should start working on this at least a month before you want to leave. We ended up having to leave our dogs with a friend for 3 weeks after we left before they could clear all of the time tables, however the pet movers worked with him to answer all questions and give him advice. He was a lawyer and he agreed, there are a lot of potential pit falls, but he said they made it so easy for him. My dogs are here, healthy and happy, I couldn't ask for more. read more

Dana was also fantastic for going to a good bit of extra effort to find out about moving a pet whose species didn't have readily clear, easy rules for, and working with us to overcome a non-pet related paperwork snafu that created some obstacles with the entire move. Her assistants that met us at CLT and the cargo staff at both CLT and EDI Lufthansa cargo were excellent; professional, relaxed, and friendly in the home stretch of a stressful process. We had only 2 weeks to move our family of 4 (5, if you include our dog) from LA to London. What was already a stressful situation was made much easier with Animal Land Pet Movers. I had contacted three other pet transport companies, including one that our relocation services company recommended and they were all slow or unresponsive and gave vague, incomplete answers to how the process worked. To make matters worse, despite the poor service the other companies quoted prices significantly higher than Animal Land. Not having time to waste, I Googled other pet transport companies and came across Animal Land. Reviewing the consistently positive reviews on Yelp, I took a chance and contacted them. From my first initial contact with Barbara to working through the requirements with Dana the counselor, Animal Land could not have been more responsive and reassuring. Dana was our representative at Animal Land Pet Movers when we moved our pup, Sophie, from Chicago to Hong Kong. Her company was recommended to us by the company we used in Hong Kong. We were already here (and had waited for the weather to cool off to transport her) and needed someone to handle the US side. Dana was extremely helpful, kind, and patient. She was a huge help for my friend who had my pup at the time. She was there every step of the way in getting the paperwork in order. They handled a minor setback quickly and efficiently (I had the wrong measurements for her and airline said the kennel wasn't appropriate). The fee was reasonable and affordable. Sophie arrived here last night happy, healthy, tail wagging, and ready for hugs. We are so grateful to Dana and her team for their hard work to get our pup here with us.
