Terrific Instagram profile and activity. I had bookmarked this particular store because they really seemed like a family business. Several employees had December birthdays and the day we arrived they had some decorations up and were offering customers cake. I think they even said they had some ice cream available. Nice touch. Both employees we spoke with were super friendly and helpful. We took most of our time digging through their bulk bins which were full of loose Lego goodness. We looked around at their cases full of minifigs and my wife grabbed a few small animals and misc. Lego pieces. We also looked around the store at their prebuilt sets and boxed sets. Nicely laid out store and full of great Lego items. We took turns quickly using their bathroom to wash our hands from going through the bulk. We had a little discussion about birthdays. I believe the woman's birthday was one of those being celebrated and the man's birthday was July 4th. Fantastic visit. We will most definitely be back the next time we are in Denver. Today was free comic book day. Monkey Paws was one of the gracious comic book stores to give us not…read moreone but four comics per customer. And they had great stories too. Heck they even have Blade in a few of them which I was excited for. I believe the whole store was discounted 10 or 20% as well. I've been there before and was treated well by the employees as the customer service was stupendous I'm all about supporting the local establishments but today I was a bit put off. They hold a raffle and for each customer transaction you received a couple of raffle tickets. One for today and one for a later day. Well I made my purchase and my nephew found something else as we were walking out the door. We stood in line and made another purchase. I wasn't given a ticket and asked for one and was told by the dark haired lady behind the counter that today was only one ticket per customer not per transaction and dismissed me. I don't see the difference between today or Any other day. My money is green and credit cards are plastic every day. If it's because of the specials at least they made 80% of the sale then nothing at all.
