Heck they even have Blade in a few of them which I was excited for. I believe the whole store was discounted 10 or 20% as well. I've been there before and was treated well by the employees as the customer service was stupendous I'm all about supporting the local establishments but today I was a bit put off. They hold a raffle and for each customer transaction you received a couple of raffle tickets. One for today and one for a later day. Well I made my purchase and my nephew found something else as we were walking out the door. We stood in line and made another purchase. I wasn't given a ticket and asked for one and was told by the dark haired lady behind the counter that today was only one ticket per customer not per transaction and dismissed me. I don't see the difference between today or Any other day. My money is green and credit cards are plastic every day. If it's because of the specials at least they made 80% of the sale then nothing at all.

But it's worth it. Now that they do not, I find it interesting that some of the staff there will bitch about Amazon and how it's had a horrible effect on the business. Or seem so impatient on the phone when I called to ask questions about what I used to be able to look up online. What's my option for shopping? I can call down and if they're busy, no one can go look for anything, I can come down and search around, and hopefully they have what I want. Or... If I know exactly what I want, I jump on Amazon, look it up and order it. And let me be clear: I really am not a fan of Amazon. I think they're the devil. I am more than willing to pay more for the convenience of local store stores, and I also like supporting local businesses. Wizard's Chest needs to figure out what it wants to be. I'd suggest bringing back the ability to look up items online, and failing that, make sure all the staff understands positive service for people who call up and ask questions. I'd be more than willing to pay a little more for the convenience of picking it up the same day.

A lot of the toys here are from the 70s-90s but they have some older and newer stuff too. Many are used, some new and they do have some collectibles. It's a pretty tight space completely packed with stuff so it can take awhile to look through everything, but isn't that part of the fun? The staff are super nice and knowledgeable and just ask that you don't manhandle everything because there's some old stuff there they don't want dirtied or broken which is a no brainer. They have hand sanitizer at the entrance to help with that. We had a fun time reliving some of our youth and I saw toys there I hadn't thought about since I was in elementary school. They were also other kids and their moms waiting for the store to open. we live about 20 minutes away from the orchard town center and wasted our time going down there when the store should've informed the customers that they were not going to be open today. I find it very inconsiderate that they did not inform their customers because there were little kids outside in the snow waiting for the store open. They will not be getting our business again!!
