Now, the longer version is my prior dentist dismissed my complaints of chronic morning headaches and morning fatigue as just "grinding my teeth" and tried to do unnecessary work on 5 cavities that turned out to be non-existent. My primary physician referred to Dr. Gabe as he happened to be at my doctor's office that day. Dr. Gabe correctly diagnosed and vanquished what turned out to be sleep apnea; moreover, he found no evidence of any cavities after a round of X-Rays and never-before-taken high resolution dental photography. I have never had a cavity in my life, practice excellent dental hygiene yet nearly had 5 holes drilled into my perfectly healthy teeth. What's more, when my sleep apnea appliance needs some atypical maintenance, Dr. Gabe takes care of it swiftly and without hesitation, as he knows sleep apnea is serious and wants his patients to routinely experience restorative sleep. His staff are beyond professional and friendly. I always enjoy my time there. Parking is a breeze too. On…read moreDay 5 of recovery after having all three of my wisdom teeth extracted, I have had absolutely NO PAIN WHATSOEVER this entire time. Had a pleasant consultation and booked the next soonest appointment for extraction about two weeks later. Dr. Doan was very helpful and knowledgeable. They were running behind surgery day but I'd prefer they take their time and do a thorough job rather than rush! I was in the office for almost three hours surgery day. I was very comfortable when they put me to sleep and woke me up. I was in a little bit of pain immediately after waking up and they gave me a little more local anesthetic and I had no pain after that. They sent me home with instructions and everything I needed, and called a few hours later in the day to check in. They don't automatically schedule post-op check-ups so hopefully I will not need to be seen throughout the rest of recovery. Thank you to everyone in the office! While periodontic work is never painless, they do what they can to make it as comfortable, quick and stress-free as possible. The office staff are always honest and helpful. While I have had them forget things occasionally, like sending in a prescription, they're quick to own up to their mistake and correct it. I do have two minor complaints about this office though, which aren't deal killers. One is that they do not process all of your benefits for you. I have AFLAC Dental for supplemental coverage, and their office will not file those claims. They instead insist that I submit these myself. What makes this awkward is that AFLAC will often pay THEM instead of me, so I have to drive back in to get reimbursed. This has happened twice now, and it's inconvenient and a little annoying. Two is just a personal thing. Their office decor is weird, discomforting and a little bizarre. Huge cast figures in gold of human bodies on the wall. Black velour furniture. And dozens of blank white shelves filled with what looks like small round plastic fake plants. It's like being surrounded by an army of chia pets. It's not a warm, relaxing atmosphere, but it's a minor thing that doesn't reflect on their work at all. I'm sure there's a professional decorator in Simi who could fix this in a day or two. On one instance, he was very rude to my mom and at the time I was very quiet and didn't speak my mind. He offered to sell me something and my mom told me maybe it's best if I go home to think about it, and Dr Lane told my mom to step out of the room and that he'd rather talk to me one on one, and I should be allowed to think about it on my own. He said it in a very rude matter and until this day the thought irritates me. He was also VERY pushy about writing a testimonial for his website. I can't find the website that he had me write it on at the time and it seems there's a new site now, but every single time I saw him I felt like I was obligated to write one. I eventually did it due to feeling pressured but after the incident with my mother, I wanted to have it erased but there was no way. All the testimonials on his site were obviously positive because he chooses what goes on there. Yelp and Google reviews might serve better unbiased reviews. Lastly, try to avoid buying his whitening syringes. He sold me some without me doing my own research first and I found out I got heavily ripped off. They sell plenty of kits on Amazon and they are the same quality, I've tested both his and Amazon. Great dentist, horrible attitude. It's a shame these experiences kept me from going back.

I found out I needed to replace 2 of my old crowns that have been there for years. Dr. Eddie explained all the steps that I needed to take to get there.
