I was a bit concerned about how the appointment would go for our child, since at this age children can feel uneasy about doctors. However, the dentist proved to be not only a highly skilled professional but also very compassionate and patient. She quickly built rapport with our daughter and created a calm, welcoming atmosphere, which made the visit comfortable and stress-free. We now feel confident continuing regular checkups and any necessary treatment without worry. My husband and I were equally impressed. The doctor explains everything clearly and thoroughly -- the causes of dental issues, the current condition, and the recommended next steps. We truly appreciated the thoughtful, professional approach and the genuine care for her patients. We would also like to highlight the office staff. They were able to find a convenient appointment time for us quickly, and communication was easy and pleasant throughout. The team is friendly, responsive, and well-organized, making the entire process -- from scheduling to the visit itself -- smooth and comfortable. We're very glad we found such a competent dentist and a clinic our whole family can trust.

I am very upset about treatment results…read more The reason I went to Dr Rapoport is because she accepted Medical and had good reviews. She insisted to perform a root canal for a molar tooth and put a crown on it, even though that tooth didn't bother me at all. She didn't like how the root canal looked like on x-rays. She told me that otherwise, if I refused, I will get an infection in the future, and Medical won't approve any other procedures if I don't agree with recommended treatment, so I had to agree. While I was waiting for a crown, she tried to do root canal for an opposite molar tooth and perforated it, she referred me to endodontist with a bleeding, and he said that there's no way to save this tooth after perforation she did. He called her on the phone during my visit and asked her what was she doing with my tooth and she played dumb like she had nothing to do with that. A few days later I had to get this tooth extracted ASAP by Dr. Rapport because of developing abscess and fever. I had to get an implant instead of this tooth. A new crown for the first tooth was ready and had an ugly shape, too big and there was a gap between a crown and a gum. After a few months I got an abscess on a gum under this crown. I had to go to another dentist for treatment, and he said that crown was higher than it has to be, it has to be replaced. Also while I was waiting for a crown I've got one more painful tooth, Dr Rapoport performed a root canal, crown for that tooth was good, but it was still sensitive to hot and cold. I told her, but she couldn't do anything. Later I got an abscess under that crown too. Another dentist looked at X-ray and said that gutta percha has been exceeded the tip of the root and it caused sensitivity, and she could've done it better, the root canal needs to be redone with a crown replacement. All the dr. Rapoport treatment was free for me (approved by Medical), but I had to spend thousands of dollars to fix all the work she'd done wrong, because medical didn't approve another redoing root canal, new crowns and implant. Also she did a few fillings for my husband, and his teeth got sensitive after that, so he had to get the fillings replaced by another dentist. Dr. Rapoport and the guy on the front desk are super nice, but I won't visit her again, I'm very upset and disappointed about treatment results, though I completely trusted her. Anyway, thanks for trying.

The receptionists are friendly, and the lobby is small. Receptionists were always prompt about giving me at least 48 hours notice of my appointment time which I really appreciated. Dr. Vorperian is kind, but he's not warm - he's very direct which I could understand why patients might find him off-putting. However, I never felt he was unprofessional, mean, or anything else besides helpful. He provided me with relief and set up a temporary crown for an eventual permanent crown. The entire process took about two months, but that was only because my insurance needed to approve it, not the office. Overall, I had a positive experience. While going to the dentist can be intimidating, Dr. Vorperian and his staff took excellent care of me when I needed it most, and I am very grateful.

He makes sure you understand exactly what's being done and why, and throughout all of my visits I've never felt a single bit of discomfort. His work is truly top notch precise, clean, and done with real care. I've been to multiple dental offices over the years, and many of them charge way too much. What I appreciate about this office is that the pricing is fair for the high quality work you're receiving. I'm not saying it's the cheapest place out there, but it's absolutely fair and in my experience, well worth it. The online reviews did not align with the care and service I personally received, which raised questions for me about their authenticity. My interaction with the front office staff was particularly disappointing. Rather than addressing concerns respectfully, I felt pressured and spoken to in a way that seemed dismissive and misleading. One staff member at the front desk, an older woman with curly hair, was especially unsympathetic and came across as rude, which made an already uncomfortable situation worse. Overall, I did not feel that patient concerns were handled with honesty or care. Quality customer service and trust are essential in a medical setting, and unfortunately, this office fell short in both areas. I hope the practice takes steps to improve professionalism, communication, and patient care moving forward. STAY AWAY!!

I rarely leave negative reviews. I waited a day before writing this so that what I share here is…read morebased purely on facts -- not emotion. Unfortunately, my experience at this office was serious enough that I feel obligated to inform others. I chose this clinic because they advertise that they accept Medi-Cal. However, although they technically accept Medi-Cal, none of the actual treatment I received was covered. I was told I needed a crown. The office chose to use materials that Medi-Cal does not cover, resulting in $1,200 out-of-pocket. There was no medical necessity explained for why a covered alternative could not be used. The practical result was simple: I paid fully out of pocket despite being a Medi-Cal patient. For the deep cleaning, authorization was approved through Medi-Cal. However, I was told I would need to pay approximately $400 for a post-cleaning medicated mouthwash or solution that Medi-Cal does not cover. Again, a pattern of recommending non-covered items. I do have a gag reflex. I gagged during x-rays and scanning but remained cooperative at all times. I have previously had deep cleanings without issue. Despite this, the dentist refused to treat me, citing my gag reflex and the fact that it took longer to numb me during a prior visit. Let that sink in: I was refused care because I required slightly more time and management. Instead of working with me, the dentist recommended anesthesia for a deep cleaning -- an aggressive and unnecessary approach. Medi-Cal would have covered anesthesia, but their anesthesiologist does not accept Medi-Cal. Once it became clear that I would not be going under anesthesia (which I did not feel was medically necessary for a cleaning), they declined to treat me altogether. As a result, I now have to start from scratch with another provider -- new consultation, new x-rays, new authorizations, more time off work, and more disruption to my life -- all because this office chose not to manage a completely manageable situation. Additionally: They charge a 3% credit card processing fee, which many offices absorb as standard business practice. The explanation given was that this is charged by the credit card company, which is misleading. Parking is $7.50 and not validated. The office manager was rude and dismissive. The dentist came across as unempathetic and financially driven rather than patient-focused. I am a medical professional myself. Every day I treat patients with anxiety, reflexes, sensitivities, and variations in response to medication. That is part of healthcare. Patients who require patience should not be turned away. If you are a Medi-Cal patient, be aware that "accepting Medi-Cal" does not necessarily mean your treatment will be covered. And if you require even modest accommodation, consider this carefully before scheduling.
