She told me, basically, "sorry, I don't know what's wrong and can't help you." I found out later, through my PCP, that she had put in my MEDICAL FILE: "ex meth and heroin user, that's why she has no period" WHAT? On no factual basis, no blood tests, nothing. She showed me many levels of disrespect. I had a light period when she preformed an exam. She was complaining about the blood and wiped up the blood roughly with harsh paper towels, then throwing the bloody paper towels in the regular exposed trash can. She also used a large speculum on me, which is made out of sharp cold metal. I complained it hurt and she said she has a smaller sized one she could use, and assumed I was going to be needing the large. Like wtf ??!!! read more

My wife sent our 21 yr old daughter here and she left crying. Dr Singh called her an alcoholic after my daughter said she has a glass of wine a few times a week. My daughter has an autoimmune disease and Dr Singh told her "don't expect me to help you with that". She called us crying from the parking lot. Perhaps Dr Singh should stick to older patients - she clearly doesn't have the patience for young women. read more

What an unpleasant experience. This "doctor" was dismissive, rude, and showed little empathy or understanding. It's hard to understand why someone with so little compassion would choose this profession. She has plenty of available appointments, it's clear why--she lacks both warmth and up-to-date knowledge, especially when it comes to menopause care. NOT recommended. read more

I just read some of the reviews and it's crazy to me that this doctor is shaming women for their sex history and treating everyone so rudely. She shamed mine as well and told me I needed STD tests (even though I actually have been celibate for years but since I had 10 partners, she thought that was bad) then after I declined wanting an STD test, I found a bill just yesterday that she ordered for TWO that I now might have to pay full price for because they put in my birthday wrong at the front desk. She was cold, and extremely intrusive with her questioning and judgments. I told her many times I don't want any birth control that requires it going into my body, aside from my mouth. She completely ignored me and proceeded to recommend me an IUD, the ring, the patch, etc. I was very firm and adamant that I want a birth control pill. I wanted education about the differences in pills because of the different effects different ones create, and I feel like more women should know more about how birth control works. She was so annoyed by my questions and said there wasn't any difference except for the progesterone, and that it's like any medication and that she's a doctor, she knows best. She just completely discounted my preferences and inquiries the entire time. I felt like I was arguing with someone instead of having my needs and concerns taken care of like a good Gyno should do. All these comments from her to the people giving her bad reviews is so phony and fake to me. She's basically gaslighting everyone's experience on her forum, so crazy! She obviously has some extremely repressed sexual insecurities and possible traumas there. I pray she heals and finds compassion within her work. Until then, she should not be working in a fertility clinic with women. She should be in a morgue working with dead bodies that don't have any feelings, like her. read more

I rarely write bad reviews, but I had such an unfortunate experience with Dr. Singh. I've never been so outwardly shamed by a medical professional in my whole life. I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure an OB/GYN is not trained to literally shame you when you honestly answer her questions about your sexual history. I was so taken aback by her reaction and response. It was so outrageous. I especially loved when she said the best option for me would be total celibacy. I literally laughed in her face. Educating your patient on the practices of safe sex is one thing. Her approach was so inappropriate. I'm grateful for my thick skin, but I worry for other patients who she might easily discourage from being honest with their doctors. She was also very well aware of my history with eating disorders and yet still proceeded to berate me about my weight. I would not refer her to anyone seeking a new gynecologist. I can't say anything about her fertility specialization, but with her bedside manner I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Happy to say her staff was nice. But that's about it. read more

I was frankly shocked and horrified with how "Doctor" Singh treated an extremely sick family member yesterday. It was horrific, repulsive and disgusting. "Doctor" Singh out to be ashamed of herself, and perhaps ask was it just for the $$ or the prestiege that she decided to become a doctor, because it was clearly not for the humanity of it! You turned away a patient with excruciating vaginal pain even though her mother had a scheduled appointment that she was willing to switch with her because "that is going to take more time than the scheduled check up appointment"!!!! This is though your office was empty during the entire time. Where's the humanity? The Professionalism? The Care? Surreal! We will of course be writing a letter to the CA Medical Board about this incident as they need to at least be aware of what kind of a sad, pathetic joke this "Doctor" is. read more

I was referred to Dr. Singh by my gynecologist to do a procedure that was more complicated and difficult than my current gyno could do. Dr. Singh was amazing, spending so much time before examining me discussing my situation, and explaining all the possibilities so I could feel even more confident in her plan. She managed to complete the procedure the other gyno could not, and she was so kind and careful describing what she was doing each step of the way, which made me feel a sense of control and well being. Her medical assistant was also fantastic, making sure I felt comfortable and cared for during what is, by its very nature, an uncomfortable procedure. It has been two years since I have seen Dr Singh but two friends recently asked me for a recommendation for a gynecologist which prompted me to write this. I had been a patient of Dr. Singh's for 4 years. I called the office on a Monday morning and told them I was having an urgent situation and asked if I could get in asap. The front office said they were not able to get me in. I explained the situation again and said I would cancel my own patients to get in anytime. She said they had no openings and recommended I contact urgent care. I called three urgent cares to see if they had gynecological services and also took my insurance. Two had recently dropped my insurance and both gave me recommendations to another one, but that one was remodeling and was not able to see gyn patients at that time. I called Dr Singh's office back and explained that, and on the verge of tears asked them to please see me any day, anytime this entire week. They said they had no openings and could not help me. I was shocked. I called back two more times during the week and left messages begging to get in. I called another local gynecologist who is well known and I figured there would be no way I would be able to get in as a new patient. I explained my symptoms and my current gyn could not see me and they were as shocked as I was. They got me in immediately and resolved the situation. I have since seen the new doc twice and have had great experiences since. If you are a regular patient of a practice and have an urgent matter and your doctor can not help you, do you really have a doctor?? read more

I have been going to Dr. Singh for over ten years and she is the BEST, MOST CARING, KIND-HEARTED, SMART OB-GYN I have ever gone to. It's obvious that some wacko rallied her family and friends to defame Dr. Singh. Who has the time to launch a vendetta???? Answer: A crazy person! Dr. Singh has always been professional and has always explained what she was doing and what my treatment options were. She is very personable, and you can tell she loves her job. Dr. Singh was called me long after her working hours to make sure I was doing well, and she always goes the extra mile to make sure my prescriptions are called in in a timely manner. I was having severe pains that ultimately sent me to the ER but called Dr. Singh main line several times during work hours and no one answered. Then left not one, but two messages on her "urgent voicemail" where I was literally crying from the pain and asked for help. Never heard back. Months later, her office followed up with me to confirm an appointment in which I told them I would not be seeing Dr. Singh again because of her inability to check her urgent voicemail for concerned, longterm clients. Her office couldn't have cared less, which really checked out for the whole experience. I have since found a new doctor I love, but wanted to warn others in case you would expect, like any normal client, that your doctor would be there for timely situations. read more

So I saw Dr. Singh about 3 years ago and the only reason I'm writing a review now is because I saw an actually caring and humble gyno recently which made me realize just how horribly treated I was for no reason. I went in for recurring UTI's and bacterial vaginosis that would not let up. During my consultation she asked me how often I had sex with my then boyfriend. Valid question. I said "about five times a week." And she looked at me and said "seriously?" I was just 19 years old and felt belittled by that but carried on. When I told her that I do EVERYTHING to avoid UTI's and BV she told me "I have a hard time believing that since you keep getting them. I don't think you're cleaning yourself in the right way." I was showering before and after sex, not staying in sweaty clothes, drank a ton of water and cranberry juice daily, etc. She kept putting the blame on my lifestyle and kept reiterating how sex five times a week is excessive. I kept seeing her for recurrent BV but she just kept prescribing me the same medication just to get me to shut up. After the 4th round of prescriptions she finally looked at me with a speculum which HURT SO BAD! And she said the reason it hurts is because I have sex so much. She was not gentle, her bedside manner is fucking awful, and she's condescending. If you like feeling stupid and to be slut shamed by a feminine health doctor, she's the one for you. Dr. Singh if you read this, I hope you get a huge wake up call. Stop shaming your patients for their sex lives and maybe try actually giving a damn about their health and discomfort. I am a first time patient here and after trying many doctors over the years. I was very happy with my first visit. The entire staff is friendly and well educated. I felt very comfortable and at ease with my basic yearly exam. Dr Singh seems very sensitive to her patients needs and concerts. My husband and I were referred to Dr. Singh by my OB/GYN at UCLA Westlake Village. This was our 2nd visit to a fertility specialist. (Our first experience with a fertility specialist, Dr. Mousa Shamonki with Fertility and Surgical Associates of California, was awful. He went right into discussions of IVF without any fertility testing. He was also awful about getting back to me as well). Dr. Singh also went into a discussion about IVF considering our ages (both 42), mentioning this was the most aggressive option considering our limited time to conceive. Yet, she also LISTENED and addressed all of our concerns, one by one. So first, she suggested that we move forward with our additional remaining fertility tests and genetic disease testing (for myself and husband) to rule out causes of infertility & potential issues. All testing was NORMAL, and egg quality and quantity + sperm was GOOD or EXCELLENT for 42 years of age! After seeing her for about 3 months, we conceived NATURALLY, just before we were about to start our 1st of 3 IUI procedures! (We had just both turned 43 1-2 months prior!!!) Literally, we were going to start our 1st IUI procedure the day AFTER we found out we were pregnant. We then had a 2 blood draws and weekly/bi-weekly ultrasounds up through week 7 to ensure all was well. And it was - we graduated to our OB/GYN in week 8. I'm now in week 22 of my pregnancy - we're due in Aug 2019! Dr. Singh's demeanor is straight and to the point - greatly appreciated. Some may not feel she is "warm" however, we appreciated her approach and encouragement throughout the process. Miracles do happen - with the help and confidence to know your "parts" are all in working order from Dr. Singh and her staff. P.S. A special shout out to Margaret in the office. I feel so blessed to have found Doctor Singh! Her and her team are absolutely lovely; so nice, welcoming, and attentive. I feel special every time I go in because I literally only wait 2-10 minutes in the waiting room - but I think this is the norm for all her patients. I've been coming to Dr. Singh for over 3 years - started going for my annual appointments. Just recently I found out I was pregnant (yay) - my PCP wouldn't see me until I was at least 12 weeks which was nerve racking to wait that long. Dr. Singh welcomed me right away and did a scan for me at 5 weeks and 8 weeks which was an incredible experience. She must have top of the line equipment or is just really patient and thoughtful and allowed me to actually HEAR the heart beat - which I think most people don't get to do until they are far along. It was such a special experience and I can't thank Dr. Singh enough for her outstanding care and service. read more

This is a follow up to the inhumane situation we experienced with Dr. Singh. She followed up in a comment to say that she couldn't see me due to my "acute" situation. Please stop embarrassing yourself. How do you know my situation was acute if you refused to take me in place of my mom's 1/2 hour time slot? I was finally able to see a humane gyno who took me in same day (since urgent cares in our area did not have a gyno on duty) and in a minute she was able to see that I was having a severe allergic reaction!!! Had you taken two minutes to see me you might have been able to notice that as quickly as your fellow cohort did. Or maybe not since you and your staff's cold service is just a veil for incompetence. Please do women a favor and retire. We go through enough. And please don't try to contact my aunt. You misdiagnosed her with extra high estrogen and when she tried to see you because she was bleeding you told your staff to defer her because "something else must be wrong with her". When she went to a UCLA gyno instead, they confirmed that the bleeding was from your incorrectly high prescription of estrogen. It's amazing you haven't been sued for malpractice. I cannot believe "doctors" like you haven't had their license revoked. read more

1) Not for people w/jobs: late, slow, inflexible hrs. 2) Lacked compassion about my boss taking issue w/me missing work for first few appts. She then agreed to see me at 8a, but I showed up to locked doors and she saw me at 8:30 anyway. The following month, after begging in several calls, she refused to stay late to see me at 5 or 5:30p so I could avoid cancelling a work trip the next day (we had already taken meds for the cycle). When I told her the anti-pregnancy comments my boss made and subsequent illegal firing over this, her reply was "Well when those things happen there's usually other reasons." 3) Her petty, unorganized receptionist harassed us TWO YEARS later out of the blue over a $140 check she claimed insurance had sent us by accident six months prior (i.e. a year after we left them). We had no records or recollection of a check, and I had switched insurance twice by then and switched to a different bank. She said she'd send us the documentation to prove it, but never did, just kept calling for the $ and eventually changed her story that we owed for an appointment. (We honestly were certain we were paid in full.) By then they should have waived it for all the inconvenience. My husband paid it, but I was never convinced it was valid. 4) Charged double what the other T.O office we switched to did for the regular blood draws - which you need many of for IVF, and did most procedures/testing out of office, which likely cost more, too. (We never made it that far with her.) So, we left her practice and I loved the care and accommodating schedule at the other fertility clinic in Thousand Oaks where I have referred friends. read more

She was extremely kind and thorough. Within a very short time, I received a call from her with results. Thanks to Dr. Singh, I was able to get the treatment I needed. I would not even give Life Start Fertilely a star. Let first say STAY AWAY! I was referred to go here because of irregular period, not loosing weight, and pain during intercourse. Yes, I was not getting pregnant and that was a separate issue because the first step was to solve the first three reasons. I have family history of PCOS and Endometriosis. After seeing Dr. Singh for the first time we talked about diagnostic steps to take to find out what was going on internally. I confirmed with my insurance that diagnostic testing would be covered and told the women at the front that diagnostic is covered and it really matters on how they code the tests, well lets just say they dont care and just want to make a buck, so they coded it for infertility. After a few diagnostic testing, Singh tells me there is nothing wrong with me and that we needed to test my husband, so we did. His analysis came back with a lot of flaws. She told us we will most likely not get pregnant on our own and we need fertility treatment. We discussed IUI treatments, but she was very pushy about IVF. Of course all she wanted was the money. Well this is when it really gets good...... I left her office really upset that this women wanted us to go straight to IVF because she said my husbands sperm wouldn't be able to get me pregnant, so I went for a second opinion. In the first appointment with another Dr. they looked at all my records from Singh's office and told me my husbands analysis was great and that is not the problem. I have PCOS!!!!! What I originally told her I thought I had and why my body was so off. I was prescribed a medication for the PCOS to help regulate my body. From there we decided after years of trying I still wanted to try IUI. We did and I am now pregnant with a healthy baby. Save your time and money and go to a doctor that actually knows what they are talking about and doesn't just want to rob you. You will save yourself so much time, stress, and embarrassment. read more

The staff is so friendly I immediately felt like family and not just a client. I recommend the other reviewer try her again. All of us have "one of those crash and burn days". I would give negative stars to this provider if possible. In my early twenties a doctor recommended lap surgery for potential endometriosis, but I was young, afraid and in my senior year of college. Fast forward seven years later, and the pain and symptoms were unbearable. I started to worry, that if I did have endo it may have spread to my bowels or damaged my ovaries etc. I found Dr. Singh online, and thought she would be a good resource because her website indicates that she treats endometriosis. In my first appointment, the girl at the front was loudly discussing another patient, by name, which is a hipaa violation. I fill out the medical history, and get called back to her office. Upon reading that I have chronic cramping throughout my pelvis she asks me how frequent I mean. I tell her every day, or at least every other day. She literally looked at me like I was an idiot, or a liar and proceeded to re-ask the same question multiple times. Then, when I relentlessly said that I cramp daily she said, "so you're telling me that you have cramps 365 days out of the years, 24/7, 7 days a week." I explained, that at some point during the day, yes, I have severe cramping. Then she jumps ahead, and she asks me why I marked that I have anxiety. I explained that I had general anxiety probably because I worked sixty hours a week, with chronic pain and I didn't know what it was. Then, she tells me I should see a psychiatrist for my pain, because it's probably in my head. I firmly explain, that I have seen numerous doctors that suspect endometriosis and that I am ready to recieve treatment because birth control is no longer controlling symptoms. She tells me that she will give me an ultrasound, hastily inserts the wand (ouch) and wiggles it around and tells me all is well. I pointed out the endo adhesions don't show on an ultrasound. She offers to put me on lupron, despite the fact that I've told her I'd like to get pregnant in a year. Lupron is not a remedy for endometriosis, nor was it made for the treatment of endo, it was formulated to treat colon cancer. So, obviously I declined. She continued to tell me to see a psychiatrist and that anxiety medicine would likely resolve my symptoms. I left her office, and bawled in my car because I knew something was terribly wrong and felt judged and helpless. Exactly one year later, I moved to Phoenix, my symptoms were relentless, so I found another doctor that specialized in endometriosis. He scheduled me for surgery immediately, and found Stage 2 endo throughout my entire pelvis, if left untreated would have continue to spread and adhere to my organs. Do not see Dr. Singh if you are concerned with endometriosis. Dr. Singh, if you read this, you should reflect on the compassion and diligence you show to women that come to you in pain. One in ten women are diagnosed with endo, and many go years without getting the help they need. Do better to be apart of the solution, not the problem. read more

Just read the reviews. You get the picture. Without getting into my private medical history, I will try to explain the ineptitude of my experience here. My regular Gyno recommended Dr. Singh for a procedure. I waited weeks for the first appointment of the day so it wouldn't interrupt my work schedule. At the appointed day, I arrived on time, Dr. Singh was 40 minutes late. She was having personal problems with her parent's caregiver that morning. I didn't need to know that. The office was creepy as the receptionist and I were the only ones there for 40 minutes and the office is janky. The procedure I endured was painful. I was told I would only feel "some discomfort". After the procedure here, I was given the thumbs up, along with all the other doctor's I saw prior to this visit, crossing all my "t's"and dotting my "i's" as my regular Gyno suggested. I was given a prescription from Dr. Singh that within less than 3 weeks became evident that it didn't work. Even after all that - this is what kills me - I called the office to talk with her about the prescription and she would not take my phone call. I spoke with the brand new receptionist, told her I had every medical procedure related to this prescription, saw the dr less than 3 weeks ago, and she was trying to make me come in to see the dr for a different prescription instead of a phone call. Sounds like a shake-down as nothing has changed in less than 3 weeks. To add insult to injury, they take your credit card number at the time you first visit so they automatically charge your account once insurance goes through. I was charged the day she ignored my request for a phone call. It's been 4 days since I called the office and I was told either the receptionist or dr would call me back. Not gonna hold my breath. read more

I can't begin to express how lucky I feel to have found this office on Yelp! I was truly impressed from front staff to Dr. Singh. She took her time to speak with me first then examined me. What a difference between my old Gynecologist & Dr. Singh. The only regret I have is not finding her sooner. Thank you! All Five stars in the beginning. I've had an ongoing UTI for months, not only I had return to the office to be examined again, but Dr. Singh gave me medication to treat something else which wasn't the case. I should've been treat for yeast infection! After taking another course of antibiotics & wanting to ask Dr. Singh question by contacting her on the portal & calling the office 4 times, I have yet to hear from her. I posted this review on Angies List as well: My husband and I were trying to conceive for about 1.5 years without success. I found Dr. Singh on my health insurance website. I check her and a few other websites, and decided to make an appointment. My husband did not like her from our first meeting. He thought she was cold and condescending. I thought she seemed okay and sounded like she new what she was doing. I really just wanted some kind of help having a baby. So I started treatments with her in Aug/Sept 2011.Overall her staff were nice people and in general Dr. Singh had a friendly demenor. I referred a friend to her that was having menstruation problems which sounded similar to PCOS. My friend reported back to me that during her first visit, Dr. Singh told her, without blood tests or an ultrasound, that she should see a psychiatrist since her problems are probably in her head. I was shocked, and apologized to my friend. I was embarrassed. My friend was not trying to conceive, so I can only guess that Dr. Singh just didn't want to help her out. Every month that went by I felt more and more like she was treating me from the 'Infertility Text Book' rather than treating me as an individual case. If I had a morning appointment, she and her staff were always late. After months of no success, and more visits that I can remember, I had no real connection to Dr. Singh. I felt like I was just another patient, just another case to deal with. Often when I asked questions, especially about things I read on the internet, I felt condescended upon. I asked her those types of questions to make sure I was reading correct information about my condition. One day when I went to her office, one of the nurses informs me that they were dropped from my health insurance plan a few months earlier, and they just found out. All of my claims for the year went back to be reprocessed. That was the last straw for me. I sought out a new doctor. What a difference!! My new Reproductive Endocrinologist is great. Her office isn't fancy like Dr. Singh's, but she is a much better doctor. We clicked right away. When she reviewed my files, she was surprised about how long I had been on certain medications, why I wasn't on other medications, why certain tests hadn't been preformed, and how my case was being handled. When I ask her questions, I get straight forward answers. I still have not conceived, but so far I see my new RE as an ally in my struggles. I am treated like an adult who is able to understand the complexitys of my condition. My new RE trusts my body, and what it can do. She tailors my treatments to how my body responds to drugs, and works with me...I am part of the process. Come some months after I left LifeStart Fertility, Nov 2012, they finally resolve their health insurance issues. I received a bill from them for just over $1K. The dates on the bill did not correspond to the actual dates of service. There was no explanation with the bill....It took another two months or so to get all of the information to have this resolved. Another frustrating experience. Overall, my experience with LifeStart Fertility(Dr. Singh) was disappointing. I feel like I wasted my time with her. I would not recommend her services to anyone. read more

My husband and I dont have enough kind things to say about Dr. Singh and her staff in particular Dolce at the front desk. She took us as patients with open arms when we were going through one of the roughest times in our lives, my husband was diagnosed as a type one diabetic and we were having fertility issues all in one year. Dr. Singh never made us feel belittled or discounted at our feelings as patients even though we're young, instead she came up with a game plan to help us conceive and only after a couple months of seeing her ( a couple rounds of unsuccessful clomid and then tried IUI) we became pregnant with our son via IUI (on our first try!) . We couldn't be happier with the services provided to us and they were willing to work with us on payments and allowing us to make payments as long as we were consistent. Im happy to report as of today we finished paying her and our son is due in 2 days! THANK YOU DR SINGH AND LIFESTART FERTILITY CENTER! you made our dreams come true! Dr Singh is a perfect balance of caring and compassionate but also very professional so she never comes off as sugar coated or fake like a doctor trying to hard to with bedside manner. I went into her because another dr couldn't deal with my difficult situation without an in office ultrasound which dr Singh had. Not only was the office STUNNING, but the staff and doc are top notch. I was in and out quickly and had a fantastic experience. I have never seen an office run so efficiently! Before finding this place I thought it was normal to deal with grumpy front office people and wait an hour plus! Not here ! They really do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. You were all right - not only is her office lovely, but so is her staff and most especially Dr. Singh herself. She took a good 15 mins to have an initial consultation with me in her office and I felt that she was genuinely interested in learning my health history. I found Dr. Singh after my regular gynecologist retired. It can be difficult to find the right doctor but everything about my experience here was positive. Unlike other doctors in the area I didn't have to wait months for an appointment, the wait time at the office was quick as well. The staff were friendly and helpful and Dr. Singh was warm and easy to talk to. I was totally comfortable with her and am so happy to have this place. read more

I came to this clinic for a consultation. Before I went, they took down my insurance information to verify I had coverage and everything would be covered. They called me and said everything was confirmed and verified so I went forward with my consult. Even the day of my appointment the office receptionist confirmed once again I was covered. The consultation consisted of a 10 minute brief talk with the DR and blood drawn. Little did I know I was already pregnant before going to see this DR!! I then started getting bills from their office for totals over 400.00! I called several times to sort this issue out but was basically given the run around. After calling my own insurance, they told me that they had informed the Drs office that apparently I had a separate deductible for this consultation. I was NEVER told this by the Drs office! they told me to come in and I was covered 100% and my deductible was met. In any event, she billed me 600.00 for 1 visit which consisted of a 10 min talk and blood drawn- and afterwards I get a call saying I was pregnant already! The DR kept wanting me to go back to see her, which I didn't thank god- and now I know why! So she could bill me again! The charges were completely excessive and unnecessary. I am stuck with a 500.00 bill to pay her and if they would have been truthful from the beginning I would not have gone here! Oh, and I tried to negotiate my bill based on "false" info they gave me and NOPE, they would not reduce it by 1.00!
