I was in a rush the other day for an emergency same-day delivery in Stafford. I called on the phone because I was having trouble using the website in my hurry; I spoke to the owner, Kristen, and she was incredibly accommodating to my situation. (I didn't know what type of arrangement to choose, and what I could afford, etc.) She was so kind and helpful, she respected my budget, and even texted me an example piece of what I would be buying. It turned out even prettier in person!! I was allowed to text her the message I wanted sent with the flowers (so I had some time to think about it) and then I got a text once the flowers were delivered. I came in today to inquire about floral services for several upcoming wedding project I have in Downtown DC, since I was in Stafford visiting friends. I stood at the front cash wrap for a few minutes while a group of women, 15 feet away from the cash wrap stood together talking and laughing. They all heard me come in due to the door chime and looked at me but went on with their socialization instead. One woman, said to the group of women, directing the comment at me: " I'll be right with you sir." They all started laughing then the same woman said: "She didn't hear me" Another woman said: " I looked to see if she did!" The first woman came over and asked if she could help me. I inquired as to why she said: "I'll be right with you sir." She smugly replied that they were talking about another customer that comes in and asked if there was anything I need. I declined services politely and quickly left. I do not know why I was treated in such an unprofessional and unkind manner. The woman did not apologize for her rude remarks and could not care less in her demeanor if she was rude. The comment did seem directed towards me. However, if it was not, it is entirely unprofessional to talk poorly about another customer in front of customers. I'm a professional, award winning and internationally published photographer that flies all over the U.S. to shoot Fashion Editorials and Weddings, additionally I have worked with some of the TOP florists in the industry. Based out of this experience of just simply walking in, I highly do not recommend Anita's Beautiful Flowers. My fiancé is deployed and ordered me flowers from here but spelled my street name wrong on accident so they couldn't get delivered. I didn't mind going to pick them up as I was already headed in that direction for church. It's Christmas Eve and she stayed open until I was able to get them. As soon as I walked in, she greeted me with a smile and she immediately says, "Can I give you a hug? My husband was deployed for a couple Christmases and I know how difficult they can be." Ordered 5 flower wraps at $20 each. Got charged $526 not once but twice plus the $105. First time the called us to let us know, they refunded the money but charged us again $526 When I called I was told the manager wouldn't be in until Wednesday (I called on Monday) and that I need to call my bank to see why I was charged again. We ordered a dozen roses in a vase for an anniversary on May 7th to be a surprise and got charged mothers day prices ($85) but instead we got a very small, very fragrant assortment better suited for a funeral. When we called to try and find out what happened they only offered to send the correct flowers and refused to give a refund. read more

I don't even know where to start. I called Anita's today in desperate need of an arrangement for my husbands casket. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly and in the midst of trying to take care of our 1 year old daughter, plan his funeral, run many errands, visit with family and friends, etc., I completely forgot the casket spray.
