Many brands to choose from. I recommend reviewing all the different brands they offer and taking you time choosing the new doors. There are many options of insulation and windows.. Honestly am not sure if this is the company who installed the new garage door opener many years ago since I was told they claimed they had no information about the install; however they did a nice job replacing the springs. I had two techs come out. One to assess the garage door spring. The other to come install a replacement that the first didn't have on hand that day. The initial tech was concise and presented potential replacement scenarios, diagnosis was quick. The installing Ankmar tech, Robert, was great. He explained the process, showed me the broken spring, and performed the replacement quickly despite some of the obstacles present in my garage. Both professionals. Great service. If I could give Ankmar zero stars I would. Ankmar salesman Cantrell may take advantage of who he is selling too. It may take 9 to 10 months to get the everyday door as they are holding your 50% deposit. They may bring a door that looks zero like your adjacent door. You may get the real door at two years. That comes missing a window and needs a technician to come out three more times to get it it running Subpar without upgrading everything that makes the door work well. Lastly Ankmar may give a measly discount for this mess and say that's all they are going to do and threaten to put a lean on your home if your do not pay the remaining balance before the door is even fixed. On Memorial Day, I backed up and hit the lower panel of our garage door. That thing was messed up, stuck half-way up with rollers off the rails, rails bent, and lower panel bowed out. Luckily I was able to get my car out. ANKMAR had done the initial install of the door 6 years ago, so I called their # on the back of the door. The technician, Jared, was there the following morning. First words out of his mouth were "this isn't as bad as it looks". Loved hearing that! He fixed it up, bent things back into place, screwed the bottom panel back together, then went on adjust the springs, fix the door trim, grease the hinges and reset the garage door open limit, all finished in about 90 minutes... and that door looks (nearly) undamaged from the outside, and just fine on the inside. Ankmar installed the garage door on a new build I purchased in 7/22. The door no longer goes down. There is a metal piece pulling on the top of the door, separating the windows from the door. I've had 3 companies come out and state the door was installed incorrectly. According to everything I've researched, garage door expected life is 10-20 years. Ankmar estimates an $830.00 repair for the metal piece pulling at the door, but it will not fix the overall improper installation and the problem will reoccur. I cannot recommend this company for either installation or repair. read more

Scheduled my appointment that was available 3 days away from date of call. I felt this was very reasonable. Person answering calls was helpful with providing info on what to expect. The only thing that disturbs me is that there is a 4 hour window on when a repairman can get to me. This ends up taking a whole morning or afternoon depending on your choice. I get its not a fault of the business but maybe more people should be hired. With that being said, the repairman showed up only 30 min past the window start time so was very convenient. Marvin was amazing, friendly and fun to talk to while he was working. Provided information and options and future suggestions. Appreciate all of it. He was very knowledgeable. Had a new opener installed last summer, which was completed on time and budget. Recently, the garage door has struggled to close and often will not when it's cold. I called Ankmar (at the number on the sticker they put on the door) on 17 November at 404pm MST. I was given an appointment on 21 November from 12-2. At 210 when no one had shown up and I had not received any communication, I called to see the status. I was told that I had No appointment and it would be several days before they would come. This was conveyed in a rather curt manner and I was told several times that I was wrong about even having an appointment. A garage door not closing is something that needs prompt attention, so I do not trust Ankmar. Update: Ankmar contacted me to apologize and offer a tune up. I'm adding a star for that. read more

I called them in May and placed an order for a $1,300 storm door. A regular storm door. Because of the supply chain the door can in August-no problem. Except it was missing a part. I was told it would be delivered and installed that week. I got the part today, 10 weeks later! They avoided my calls and took days to respond. Always friendly and nice but come on! 10 weeks for 1 single part? When I asked if I would have gotten faster service if I hadn't paid in full I got no response. Service requested by me: replace a broken spring on my garage door. When I calle, customer service kept me on hold for nearly 20 minutes. Why??? Customer service set up a 4-hour time period to get service the next day. The guy came late & said, "oh gee, I don't have the right size spring" even though a picture had been sent to the company. The guy promised that someone would come during another 4-hour period the next day. Well, a guy came AFTER the 4-hour period the next day just as I was about to leave. Quoted $517 for the repair to be done another day, but I said that I needed to leave, so no. Called another garage door company the next day. This repairman came right away & fixed my door PLUS! Cost $385. Definitely would NEVER call or recommend Ankmar to ANYONE! Go elsewhere! read more

Our garage door needed a re-balance after installing a door insulation kit. Our technician arrived within his appointment window, quickly assessed the problems, and quickly re-balanced the spring to the new door weight, adjusted my light beam safety, adjusted the upper and lower limits of my door opener, and aligned the track on one side. We had been having some trouble with our garage doors recently. I set an online appointment which was easy to do from their website. The technician came within the scheduled window and called before hand to let me know he was on his way. Larry (I'm terrible with names, sorry if I got it wrong) took a look at the doors after I explained what was happening with them. He figured out the problem quickly, explained what was happening and switched out the necessary parts with new ones. Took the time to re- grease the tracks and rollers for us. So far so good, doors working properly again. All in all, we've been pleased with the response time from making the appointment and when work was completed. Terrible experience. Had an appointment from anywhere 2pm-6pm never received a call for when they would be at my house. Once they got here at 5:30pm they tried to scam me into purchasing a whole new garage opener. Nothing is wrong with my unit just got jammed on the safety bolt and the guy took the bolt out and never gave it back to me and told me I need a whole new machine. Fixed the issue myself the next day and my garage works perfectly. Never will recommend or use this company again. read more

Our garage door motor stopped working after all the thunderstorms. Ankmar was able to come out fairly quickly and diagnosed that our circuit board was blown. Montana had the right replacement part in his truck so he quickly repaired it and recommended a surge protector. Our garage door opener was still under warranty so we only pay for labor which was very affordable. read more
