Very relaxing massage by Maya in a comfortable, shaded room. She will adjust the pressure based on your own needs and comfort level. I have many body issues and it is hard to choose just one to focus on, so she gave me a very good overview of massage techniques, based on which life-ravaged body part needed attention. Very clean, easy to find and super nice people. You can talk or not. Either way, you will leave with a sense of relief. A trusted masseuse is hard to find and I am so glad I came here! I've been getting massages regularly for about 20 years and Michael is strictly top notch. I've been going to Michael for over a year now and am very impressed. He is knowledgeable in many forms of body work and different approaches to massage. If you're looking for a simple fluff-n-buff massage like you might get a beauty salon, then this might not be a good match. Michael and Maya really understand customer service and will do everything in their power to accommodate you. In the past year and a half I have been coming here, I've had nothing but great care. Michael really listens and has no qualms about going really deep if you want that (I personally love it!). However, if you're having a hard day, he'll switch it up to a relaxation massage - it's up to you! I had spinal surgery over 20 years ago, and some of the nerves never regrew, leaving me with periodic numbness. With Michael's help, the areas of numbness feel like they have become much more localized. Michael is very respectful of my scars and hardware and asks me for feedback, and the sensitivity around a scar on my hip is diminishing. When I go in, it's like speaking to an old friend. I'm surprised to read some of the negative reviews here - perhaps folks are confused about therapeutic vs. relaxation massage? I have been here multiple times and have always had great communication with my masseuse! Michael's therapeutic prenatal massages helped me survive an absolutely horrendous second trimester of my pregnancy. I had major piriformis muscle issues that were pinching my sciatic nerve and leaving me unable to sit or lie down without pain - I was an absolute wreck! Michael's therapeutic massage saved the day. He was a complete professional, constantly checking on me for pressure/comfort (therapeutic massage does NOT equal relaxation massage) and was great working around the one position that I could lie in (on my side) that offered me the least amount of pain. I got to a point where I could finally lay on my stomach and back without pain (and the help of a pregnancy pillow that he has at the office), and his continued therapy through my third trimester helped keep me comfortable and relatively pain free. Being someone who works in a similar industry I'm definitely one of the worst clients anyone can have, simply because 1) I know what I want. 2) I know the logistics of what you're doing. 3.) I'm purely judging you based off your quality of work & professionalism. I can honestly say that Maya Genson did a fabulous job on my Brazilian. She easily had it done in less than 25 min, every single hair in my lower region was gone (per request), minimal pain (considering the region), she did NOT break any hairs nor did she rip any of my skin (bad past experience). The price was very reasonable, I did have a Groupon but the original price would not have been an issue by any means ($60). In conclusion I loved Maya's work, she's found a client for life. read more

I wax every five weeks, and have tried every Groupon in Ann Arbor. Maya was definitely the best provider I've worked with! The wax was one of the most comfortable and painless that I've ever received. The entire environment is very clean and relaxing, and Maya is very personable and fun to talk to. They also have a great maintenance deal, knocking $15 off waxing services if you come in within 5 weeks. I highly recommend, and am looking forward to trying a massage here! read more

This was an incredible Brazilian wax, the best I've ever had. Maya was thorough, kind, reassuring and quick (took about 45 min in total including undressing, dressing, paying, and chatting). I had a Groupon so the price was very reasonable, but even without it the price isn't extravagant (45 for maintenance, 60 for regular). the building was easy to find as well. We had bought a groupon for this location. I believe it was 39$ for an hour massage. The fine print says it was for new clients, which I Had not noticed. I was giving this to my fiancé as a valentines gift, and had not known she had been here before. This was obviously not the intended way the business wanted it to be used, which is completely understandable. They want to draw new clients in, and I don't blame them for that. The issue with this is that they won't apply the value of the groupon towards a full priced hour of massage. We had paid for an item without services rendered, it's almost like theft. read more

Wish I could say this was relaxing but it wasn't. It started out okay, but a little too rough. I asked for her to massage me with lighter pressure. However, it didn't seem to matter. Nothing felt relaxing. I am not a picky person, I've had massages for years and have never felt like this before. Towards the end it was painful..the actual massage, I felt like I was being pinched and prodded on my skin like a rug burn. The massage was almost over and I felt defeated so I had no energy to even say anything when I left. I was too upset to speak. Sure enough later on in the day when I went to take a bath at home my skin burned in the bathtub, I couldn't stand it. Then I saw the scratch marks up and down my legs...almost bleeding and painful to the touch. Please for your own sanity, don't go here for a massage....ever. read more

Both Michael & Maya have amazing talents. Hands that make a difference!! I have chronic shoulder pain and Michael helps immensely to provide relief. He is a good listener and focuses on the areas I am most concerned about. He educates me on how to keep my shoulder muscles limber and the pain at bay. Maya works on my partners lower back pain, which exist as a result of an auto accident. Weekly session have helped him to stay active and make it through a rigorous work week.
